2. Uninvited Guest

The party they were talking about was illegal. The party was held by The HumanBot without the permission of The Creators. But yeah, The HumanBot was just a normal teenager, by the way. They loved to party as if it had already been planted in their DNA.

But as Tony’s said … Asher was known as the luckiest one. The luckiest HumanBot. And what it meant by the luckiest is that all the modified DNA planted into his body was expressed very well. Not like the others.

Being created from technology and science, the more modified DNA expression, the more perfection they got. Although Asher became The Creator’s favorite when he was born, still … he himself hated his destiny to the bones.

Being the luckiest makes almost all of The HumanBot jealous. None of his race likes him except Tony, of course. That’s why he never got invited to any party.

Also, having many modified DNA expressions in his body made him suffer. Those expressions made a complication that almost always reappeared every three months during Asher’s lifetime.

And the complication never ended well. Asher would lose one of his organ’s functions, senses, emotions, or, worst … his life. Everything was never stable, and The Creators still could not figure out what was the reason behind the occurrence of that unwanted complications.

But the good thing is that Asher could upgrade his system and his physical.

The HumanBot. They were not just an ordinary human. They were created by humans. They thought like a human, but their physical was just as strong as the robot fighter.

“Let’s go! We better not come late!”

Leaving the building for The HumanBot creation, Tony initiated to run. He got the perfect physics beyond the average HumanBot. He really enjoyed being the strongest.

Tony laughed when he knew that he had just left Asher behind. But a second after, his laughter stopped as Asher managed to catch him and run right beside him.

“How did you do that?” Tony couldn’t believe what he just saw. Asher was probably the luckiest one, but he was slow. Very slow. And now, somehow, he just ran as fast as Tony.

“I lost my feet last time I got that complication. They replaced them with the new ones. I told you, you would not love it, Tony.” Asher explained. But Tony still couldn’t believe it. He was the fastest before.

“All right, I will show you like you asked me.”

Asher immediately ran faster with the new feet he got from the previous surgery. Without any attempt to look back and check how far he could leave Tony behind, he just ran faster and faster. And thus, Tony could not even see him anymore. Missing into the darkness, where the lights have no longer existed.

Asher arrived first. The place where the party was always held. The abandoned weird building.

After the invasion of the Greenish Race that took everything off the planet Earth and massively killed the human race. Those humans who survived hid in the underground with limited resources and lived there.

Although the human race's population was below five percent, they worked together well and made the underground their new home. However, they could not live like that forever.

Humans were greedy, they wanted back what they thought were belongs to them. The planet Earth, and the resources on the ground where they are supposed to live. However, the Greenish Race was insane. They broke the ozone and made the sun's radiation directly sting the earth's surface. Make the ground no longer safe for the human race.

The sounds of rock music surrounded the abandoned building underground, far away from the places where the underground humans live. They would not hear that music anyway, so the party was safe.

Asher stood there, staring at the abandoned building made from the high-quality metal that didn’t age. Although it’s been ten years since the first HumanBot discovered that place during a small training when they were just seven. They didn’t have any idea what’s that abandoned place for.

Only The HumanBot joined the party, the normal human breed has never been invited because, at this hour, they probably went to sleep. But still, Asher could not believe that he got the invitation now. Because although he was one of the HumanBot, none of his race liked him, as I mentioned before.

“What the hell did they do to your feet, Ash?” Tony arrived and complained.

“I told you they replaced them.”

“Are those even human feet?”

“Maybe not, they use the modified DNA of Cheetah’s. I don’t even know what Cheetah was.”

“Cheetah?”

Asher gave Tony a gaze, but none of them knew. They never read any books. They hated it. How could they know Cheetah if that species had already gone forever long ago? They only lived in books and encyclopedias.

“What the hell are you doing here, Junkies?” Three HumanBots walked, approaching Asher and Tony. The one who stood in the middle acted like the boss, he was as tall as Tony and stared at Asher with a displeased look. He didn’t even bother to hide his hate toward Asher. “What a scrap metal!”

Junkies and scrap metal, those titles were addressed to Asher due to many complications he got till today. None of the HumanBot required maintenance, as many as Asher. Every HumanBot who hated him bullied him and gave him titles related to a broken machine or robot.

Asher, on the other hand, could not complain about that because it was the fact. After all, he got many special treatments from The Creators due to his complications. Most of the time, he believed he was just a weak and broken robot. A junk.

“Stop it, Aaron!” Tony moved his body to protect Asher.

“Oh, this muscle can talk? What a surprise.” Aaron mocking words made both of his friends laugh so hard.

â€śWe would never welcome you as one of us here, Junkies. Leave and get back to your cold room!” Aaron hissed, but he could not get any closer to Asher because of Tony’s existence.

“He’s invited.”

“By whom?”

At that moment, Asher would probably choose to return to his maintenance room rather than stay. After all, hearing the information about the invitation from Tony was unbelievable.

And now, accidentally bumped into one of the strongest HumanBot, Aaron, who hated him to the bones. Asher would believe that Tony had just scammed him.

But, before he left, a girl walking without any step’s sound approached them. She crossed her hands on her chest before taking a deep breath and talking, “By me, Aaron.”

The girl has long-black-beautiful-shining hair, and she got a body like an hourglass. She was the most beautiful girl that Asher had ever seen since they met. Everyone loved her. Not only The HumanBot but also the human. Not only because of her looks but also her brain.

“Hope?”
