There was a silent stand-off between Ethan and Becca, alongside the men and women by her side.

Ethan took a glance at them, his mouth twitching slightly, after a while, she turned around facing the receptionist.

“How dare you ignore me?” Becca’s angry voice came just as Ethan turned around.

“And what do you expect me to do?” Ethan’s mouth curled up into a smirk as he looked at Becca.

“Kneel and greet you? Cause I don’t know what you are expecting from me.” He continued, and the smile on his face widened.

“How dare you…” Becca gritted her teeth pointing at Ethan. Her face turned green from embarrassment.

“Let me let you know something you don’t know.” Becca sneered, continuing after a while as it seemed like she regained her confidence.

“You are at the bottom of the food chain while I am at the top. It's only right that you do what is due because you are not supposed to be here in the first place.” She said with a sneer and then folded her hands as if waiting on the said due.

“Besides, me and you are not from the same world, so you shouldn’t even think of getting back with me.” She added.

At her words, Ethan chuckled and he looked around to see there were eyes on them. But he couldn’t care less about it. It was none of his business in the first place, they were free to think all they wanted to think, and he wouldn’t care.

“Look at that man over there. He is Ray Bastien.” Becca continued pointing at the man she came with and a look of pride appeared in her eyes.

“With one snap of his fingers, he will get you out of here and make your life miserable. I dumped you for someone better, so you should not feel too bad.” She proclaimed, and an arrogant smile appeared at the corner of her lips.

“So he’s your new man, huh?” Ethan raised his brows looking at the person she was pointing at.

“Yes, do you have any problem with it?” Becca sneered, feeling rather displeased with Ehan.

“No, I don’t.” Ethan burst out into laughter looking at the man.

“You went for this pig in a human form and yet you’re asking me if I have a problem with it. Why would I have a problem with what you've chosen?” Ethan let out a chuckle as he looked at the man.

The man was a man with a round face and he was very ordinary. Apart from that, he was so fat and his stomach was bulging as he thought he was pregnant. Ethan wondered what he would look like if he was running.

Thinking Like this, he burst out into laughter once more. There was no way he could hold it in.

Becca’s face turned red from anger watching Ethan laugh at her new boyfriend and she couldn't help but blurt out,

“Are you blind? Can't you see he is richer and better? You could only afford to give me a few hundred dollars every month but he gives me ten times that amount. So what if he looks like a pig.”

“Ohh, you've finally accepted that he looks like a pig. I admire your courage.” Ethan mocked as he let out another round of chortle.

“How dare you?” The man roared glaring at Ethan with a murderous look in his eyes.

“Alright chill, you should know that I am simply telling the truth, I’m not the kind of person that likes to lie, so that’s just the truth.” Ethan shrugged, not caring about the man’s expression.

“You have quite the guts, talking to me the way you want, I admire your courage.” Ray, the man sneered.

“What else were you expecting me to have? Kidney or what?” Ethan retorted the smile on his face widened with each second.

“You were right about him, honey.” Ray turned to Becca and said with a slight smile on his face.

“He’s such an arrogant bastard who doesn’t know his place, I wonder what he came to do.” Becca nodded in agreement and turned to look at Ethan.

“And you, what are you doing here? Looking for a sugar mummy? Do you want to book a room to taste some minutes of luxury in your life?” Becca asked with a mocking tone and they all burst out laughing.

“Maybe we could help you.” She added with a sneer.

“Yes, she is right. You know I could help you get a free room here. As long as you agree to run some errands for me.” Ray spoke up with a wicked light in his eyes as he was already imagining what he could do to Ethan.

He already hated Ethan to the core at this moment and wished for nothing else but to beat up the latter as he was too arrogant.

“I know the owner of this hotel,” Ray sneered, feeling smug.

“Seriously?” Ethan’s mouth curled up into a smile looking at Ray. He was the owner of the hotel, so how come he didn’t know him?

“Well, I don’t know someone like you.” Ethan continued with a smile on his face.

The next moment, everyone burst out into laughter hearing what Ethan said, who the heck did he think he was?

“Do you think you could ever own a place like this?” Becca sneered.

“Let me tell you, apart from that, he has been given a ninety percent discount on everything. So you can just tell me if your sorry ass is hungry, then I might be willing to get something for you.” She added.

“Really” Ethan’s mouth curled up into a smile as he looked at Becca.

“Where the heck did you get a discount?” A voice boomed through the lobby just as Ethan was about to continue.

  • Taking Their Women

“There is no way you wouldn't want to marry me, Ethan!” Erin screamed, piercing through the silence in the car. Her face was twisted like a knot and he had never seen her so terrifying. “What do you mean? I never promised to do that!” He snapped at her. “I have never vowed my undying loyalty to you, why should I do that now?”“Because I have sacrificed so much to be by your side. I neglected my family, neglected my job just to live as your woman and yet, you still don't see that as anything.” She continued to scream with tears streaming down her eyes. Ethan could only purse his lips, knowing a large part of her words were true. Her job complications arose just from her clashing with the higher powers that tried to bring her down and he was also entangled with it. However, he never told her to stay away from her family. In fact, he never even spoke about her family with her. Neglecting her family was everything she did on her own but Ethan wasn't going to say that out loud because s

  • Let’s Get Married

Seeing Baron’s surrender, Ethan’s eyes dimmed in suspicion as he couldn't readily believe that this minister would easily relent. After all, he was proud and cocky. “Alright, start speaking.” He urged but before Baron could start, he spoke up again, “And if you dare lie to me, you are dead.”Baron frantically nodded, his eyes filled with too much fear to even lie and his first sentence shocked Ethan so well. “I wasn't the one who helped Genie out of prison.” Minister Baron began and Ethan quickly sat up in his seat, realizing it was about to get serious. “I only served as a connection between her and the other person. My only benefit was to come out of prison and become a minister again as a placeholder. This position isn't controlled by me, it’s for the benefit of that person.”Ethan was surprised at the outcome of things. No wonder Baron was a show-off. Empty people tend to make the loudest noise. “Who is this other person you are in contact with, huh? And what did Genie offer t

  • Dead Eyes

Even though Erin was visibly raging, Ethan sat down coolly staring at her with a blank gaze. He recalled how she had begged to be involved in the case, and yet, she let her emotions lead her. “You have ten seconds to leave, Erin. You are no longer involved in this.” He warned her. “Why?” She snapped, “First, you deceived me into thinking you wouldn't be coming and here you are. I brought you both here! If anyone should be taken out of this, it’s Mason, who stood up to leave abruptly. He ruined the whole thing before my family—”“I ordered him to do so…”“What?” She gasped. “You let your emotions rule over you, Erin. You are not fit for this.” Ethan waved his hand. “Leave before it’s too late.”However, it was obvious she wasn't ready to leave at all. Quickly, Ethan signaled Mason to get her out.“What will you do…hmmm…” Mason quickly covered her mouth, muffling her words. At the same time, he held her body together making her thrash, trying to get away from his grip but then, he wa

  • A Simple Note

One day later…Mason held Erin by the arm, walking her into the grand venue to greet her family for the night. He had a gift box in hand, looking very charming but then he had his eyes scanning the room. His glasses, which complemented his black tailored suit had tiny cameras on them, sending live feed of the event to Ethan. Mason gently scanned the hall but Minister Baron was nowhere to be seen. Though there were other government officials of his caliber in the event, no one seemed to be concerned about his absence. “Are you sure Baron is going to be here?” He asked Erin who clutched his hand rigidly. “Well, I don’t know.” She hissed. “We will have to find out.”Ever since Ethan switched up on her last minute, she had been gloomy. She thought she was going to show him off for once before the high society and her family but he was a step before her. Deep in her mind, she hoped Baron wouldn't even appear! Her grievance overshadowed her reasoning, her emotions rising to an all-time

  • Erin’s Happiness

Driving into his mansion, Ethan had his fingers on his chin, deep in thoughts. Getting to minister Baron would be a long walk especially when trying to get him involved in the scam case. Minister Baron had a lot of power on his side, one that definitely aided him in getting Genie out of prison. Fighting against such a man might be a lot of toll. Ethan had to strategize the perfect plan and not just go in rashly. But then he knew the minister would get news about Genie’s disappearance. Would it be soon and would he be able to trace it back to Ethan? As he got out of the car, he realized there was no way it could be traced back to him. After all, his men had done a clean job. He spotted Erin right outside the building looking very worried and he wanted to ignore her completely but then, as she quickly approached the car, he became concerned. “Ethan, Eva is not in the house.” She said, shocking him. “And why would you care?” He raised a brow, suspicion stirring in his mind. “Uhmmm…”

  • The Raging Old Man

Genie was immensely surprised that Ethan knew about Elvis Chris and the Minister. She had truly underestimated her biggest opponent. It was easy to conquer her husband but Ethan, it didn't seem so. But at the same time, she wondered how he got to know. Everything she did was securely under wraps and only a few people knew she was out of prison. “You want to know how I got out of prison, right?” She tilted her head to the side, her gaze scanning. Ethan pursed his lips, seeing the way she stared at him like a specimen under scrutiny. “You amaze me, Ethan.” She chuckled. “You were able to find out about the minister and Elvis, yet you couldn't find out about such a simple thing. Are your resources limited?” Ethan didn't react to her provocative words just like she wanted, instead, his smile was cool, one that made her swallow. “You know what?” He grinned, his eyes darkening sending warning bells in her head. “I don't need to know how you got out.” He slowly stood up to his feet, a
