In a presidential suite at the Peninsula Hotel, Isaiah Lowell sat across from a woman of distinguished appearance, adorned in gold and silver, exuding an air of aristocracy.

“Isaiah, I’m really glad to see you.” Charlotte Lowell, Isaiah's mother, said.

Facing his mother, whom he hadn't seen in three years, Isaiah felt no emotion, not even sparing her a glance.

"Who would have thought that I, the overlooked youngest son of the Lowell family, would ever be of use? I didn't expect it, and neither did you, I bet," Isaiah said with a faint smile.

"Isaiah, I know what happened three years ago was unfair to you, but it was your grandmother's decision, and I was powerless," Charlotte spoke emotionally.

Isaiah shook his head, "Unfair, only for the past three years? Thirteen years ago, on his twelfth birthday, only his name was on the cake. Everyone celebrated for him, forgetting that I was only five minutes younger. The unfairness started then and lasted for thirteen years. He won everyone over with just his words. And me? No matter how hard I tried, no matter my academic achievements, you never noticed."

"If he hadn't gone to jail, would you even look at me?"

"If the Lowell family didn't need an heir, would you even remember there's someone named Isaiah Lowell?"

"She doesn't deserve to be my grandmother, and you, you don't deserve to be my mother."

Charlotte, unable to refute his words, covered her face and wept.

"The Lowell family owes me a lot, and I will take it all back."

"She said she doesn't want to be looked down upon anymore, doesn't want to be a joke in others' eyes."

Charlotte inhaled deeply, steadying her emotions, "A new company will be established in Cresthaven City, and you will be in charge."

"Is this her test for me? Even in the Lowell family's decline, she still doubts my capabilities?" Isaiah's gaze was piercing as he stared at Charlotte.

He knew that this new company was just another test set by his grandmother.

Only by succeeding with the Cresthaven City company could he have a chance to inherit the Lowell family.

Charlotte nodded silently.

"Fine, I'll show her who deserves to inherit the Lowell family and the consequences of underestimating me. But I'm doing all this not for the Lowell family, but for her."

After Isaiah left the hotel room, Charlotte took out her phone.

"Mom, he agreed."

"I hope he doesn't disappoint me. Otherwise, I'd rather donate all of Lowell's wealth than leave him a dime."

Charlotte hesitated, then remained silent.

Not just her mother, but even she valued Isaiah's older brother more. If not out of necessity, she would never have come to Cresthaven City.

The Lowell family from Capital City was establishing a new company there.

As a titan in the real estate industry, their arrival promised significant development for the city. Numerous eyes were on this new venture, seeking collaboration.

Three days later, Blue Horizon Real Estate officially opened in Cresthaven City.

Blue Horizon bought all the undeveloped land in the west of the city, planning a new urban district. With Blue Horizon's strength unquestioned, many believed the west would become the city's most prosperous area.

Blue Horizon's office was nearly overrun with potential partners seeking a piece of the action.

The Easton family, involved in construction materials, naturally wanted a share.

There was speculation that the Lowell family behind Blue Horizon was the same one who had sent the gift to the Eastons.

The unmarried Easton women were ecstatic, barely sleeping for days, dreaming of marrying into the wealthy Lowell family.

"It seems like the Lowell family who sent the gift isn't the same Lowell family from Capital City," another added, disheartened.

Frustration was rife, but the matriarch insisted, "As long as Blue Horizon hasn't decided on a partner, we have a chance. If we can't meet them, then wait at their office, each taking turns daily."

The idea of standing outside Blue Horizon's office seemed humiliating, especially to the proud Easton relatives.

"Why did he send this? Could I succeed where others failed?" she wondered.

"Daphne, are you willing?" the matriarch asked, without looking at her.

Daphne was accustomed to being assigned the impossible tasks, "I'm willing."

Thomas Easton smirked, "Make sure you don't slack off, Daphne. If you miss the chance to meet Blue Horizon's boss, you can't afford the consequences."

"Let's have a security guard accompany her, so she takes it seriously," someone suggested.

Agreement was unanimous, with the matriarch adding, "Take someone with you, to help you with any issues."

Daphne clenched her fists, resentful and determined, remembering Isaiah's message. Impulsively, she declared, "Don't worry, I won't slack off. I'll secure the collaboration."

The room fell silent, then erupted in laughter.

"Daphne, you think you can do what we couldn't?" Thomas taunted.

"Such a big joke," others laughed.

Thomas seized the moment, "Daphne, those are your words. What if you fail?"

Daphne, regretting her words but unwilling to back down, hearing Thomas mocked, "If you succeed, I will be your servant. If you fail, I'll leave the Easton family."

"Agreed."
