At that moment, without wasting any more time, the two guards who had stepped forward earlier began to close in on Tyler. Their heavy boots echoed against the wooden floor, the sound mixing with the faint creak of the old house. Their faces were twisted in arrogance, and one of them sneered as he cracked his knuckles loudly.

“Are you deaf?” one of them barked, his tone filled with mockery. “Didn’t you hear what he just said? Stop there, get on your knees, and beg for forgiveness. If not.” he smirked, glancing at the other guard beside him, “by the time we descend on you, even pity itself will pity you.”

Immediately the second guard chuckled darkly, the kind of laugh meant to intimidate, but it fell flat against Tyler’s silence.

However Tyler didn’t respond. He didn’t flinch. He didn’t even look at them. He just kept walking, slow, steady, deliberate his hands still resting calmly at his sides.

That silence… that calmness… it was maddening.

The first guard, unable to stand it anymore,

At that moment, Tyler’s mother’s voice trembled, it wasn't from fear, but from the fury boiling inside her. She gripped the edge of the blanket tightly, her eyes flashing as the memories replayed in her mind. “Tyler, you need to see it with your own eyes to understand,” she said, her tone sharp and heavy. “That London… he destroyed the house. Everything, every single thing that director worked so hard to put together for me, gone.”She shook her head slowly, her voice catching for a moment as she thought of the effort and expense that had gone into making the place perfect. “All the free furnishings, the special interior design… everything chosen to make it look dignified, professional, ready for the business I wanted to start, it’s all ruined. He smashed, tore, and broke whatever he could lay his filthy hands on. And as if that wasn’t enough, he stood there threatening me… telling me he would kill me, that he would destroy us completely, that he would make sure to reclaim every singl

Upon hearing what Nathaniel Jr. had just said, Mr. Nathaniel’s lips curved into a slow nod of approval. His sharp eyes locked on his son, the weight of unspoken trust evident in his gaze. “No problem son,” he said in a measured tone, his voice carrying both authority and belief. “It seems you truly want to handle this whole thing yourself. You know I trust you so much, so I’m going to leave you to it.” His tone wasn’t just fatherly encouragement, it was a formal passing of responsibility, the kind of trust that came with high expectations.Mrs. Nathaniel, seated gracefully with her hands folded on her lap, turned to her husband with a proud smile before shifting her attention back to her son. “Your son is finally ready to become a man now,” she said with deliberate emphasis, her voice tinged with both pride and excitement. “Even though you’ve been handling the family business for some time now, this… this is something different entirely.” Her eyes glittered, reflecting her eagerness f

At that moment, hearing what his father had just declared with such conviction, Nathaniel Jr. couldn’t help the slow, confident smile that curved across his lips. His chest rose slightly as a sense of satisfaction washed over him.I was expecting this, he thought, his eyes glinting with a mixture of pride and determination. For months, he had wondered why his father hadn’t shown any open interest in the matter. It had almost made him question whether the Nathaniel family would let this opportunity slip through their fingers. But now that everything had been laid bare, the fire was lit, and he was more than ready to fan it into a roaring flame.“I knew it,” he said aloud, his voice steady and assured. “I couldn’t believe you weren’t showing any interest before, Father. But now… now that everything has been brought to the table, I’m glad you see it too. Because I know” he leaned forward slightly, his tone sharper, “Only I can be called the king. Not that bastard.”The words left his mou

Victoria nodded respectfully, her posture upright, her expression serious. “Yes, sir. It is very accurate. The princess herself asked me to come here.”Her voice carried a weight that none of them took lightly.“She holds your family in very high regard,” Victoria continued, her gaze shifting between Mr.Nathaniel and his son. “She speaks of you with great admiration and respect. She believes that if there’s anyone in this kingdom who is truly capable of taking over the throne after her father… it’s Nathaniel Jr.”At that moment, a deep silence fell across the room again. Mrs. Nathaniel looked stunned, her lips slightly parted. Nathaniel Jr., who had been sitting quietly beside his father, raised his eyes slowly toward Victoria. He didn’t speak, but there was something flickering in his gaze curiosity, responsibility, and perhaps, just a trace of disbelief. Then Victoria added gently, “That is the real reason I came. I didn’t come here just to pass a message. I came because the prince

At that moment, upon hearing what the man just said, Winston's entire body locked up, as though someone had poured cold water down his spine. For a few seconds, he just stood there, frozen. The words “London is dead” kept echoing in his mind like a curse, over and over again, each time louder, each time more impossible to believe. His heartbeat thudded like a drum in his chest, drowning out every other sound around him. This wasn't the kind of news Winston had come here to receive. Far from it. He had stormed out of his house, burning with fury, convinced that London had double-crossed him. He expected to barge into the mansion, drag London out by the collar, and demand his share of the deal. But this? This was a turn he hadn’t prepared for. Then he blinked rapidly, his throat dry, London… dead?“No… no, that can’t be,” Winston muttered under his breath, almost inaudibly, more to himself than to anyone else. His mind was spinning. “Tyler… it has to be Tyler. No one else could’ve done

At that moment, Winston’s frustration boiled over. He yanked his phone from his pocket, dialing London’s number again and again once, twice, three times. Each time the line rang endlessly, unanswered. The silence on the other end only fueled his fury. By the fourth call, Winston’s jaw was clenched so tightly it hurt. He muttered under his breath, pacing like a predator trapped in its own cage.“What the hell is going on?” he hissed, his voice low yet venomous. “London, you bastard, don’t tell me you’ve double-crossed me. Don’t tell me you got what you wanted from Tyler and decided to discard me like I’m nothing.”Then he stopped pacing, gripping the edge of the desk so hard his knuckles turned white. The thought of being outplayed burned deep in his chest, humiliation mixed with rage. London knew the stakes; London knew how much Winston stood to gain from this plan. For him to go silent now… it could only mean betrayal.“No,” Winston growled to himself, shaking his head sharply. “I’m
