On the outskirts of Greystone Hollow, far from the city’s noise…
In a rundown one-story house, two women—twenty-three years apart in age—were sitting and chatting. The younger one, wearing a brown velvet coat, picked up a cup of coffee from the round table between them and took a sip.
“You’re really leaving now, Rose? It’s not even late yet,” the older woman said, her eyes fixed on the road.
“I don’t have a choice, Mom. One of my coworkers called in sick last minute, and they asked me to cover for her,” Rose replied, setting her cup down. “It’ll count as overtime. Good money. We could use it.”
Mary, the woman Rose called 'Mom', immediately looked sad. Still staring at the road, she said, “I’m so sorry, Rose. If I weren’t blind, you wouldn’t have to work this hard.”
“Don’t say that, Mom.” Rose looked her in the eye, firm. “None of this is your fault. It’s the Harringtons'. They’re the ones who ruined our lives.”
“But if I hadn’t gone blind—”
“Mom, please stop blaming yourself. Please.”
The fire in Rose’s eyes made it clear: she wasn’t just angry, she was hurting. Ever since that controversial rape case that sent Leon to prison five years ago, the Harringtons had tried every trick in the book to destroy them, to grind their already fragile lives into the dirt.
Rose—once a high school math teacher—had been fired and blacklisted after nude photos of her—all fakes, generated by AI—were posted on various adult platforms. Mary? She went blind temporarily after someone poisoned hetory she worked at.
Rose knew the Harringtons were behind it. She had received a package from them with a card that said, “Congratulations.”
“I’m heading out, Mom. Go back inside, okay? Don’t stay out too long. It’s not safe,” Rose said, standing up and adjusting her coat.
“All right. Be careful. Text me when you get to work.”
Rose stepped down from the porch. She hadn’t told Mary what her real job was. If her mother ever found out she worked at a strip club, she'd beg her to quit.
But quitting wasn’t an option. Not when they were barely scraping by.
She was just a few feet from the gate when a loud noise erupted from the right. Seconds later, a dozen motorcyclists appeared and screeched to a stop in front of the house. All of them wore sleeveless black vests with skull logos on the back.
Rose froze. Her eyes widened.
Gangsters!
They hopped off their bikes and started approaching the gate—some of them even vaulted over it.
“W-what do you want?!” Rose shouted, stepping back and clutching her coat.
“What do we want?” said the one with long, greasy hair, grinning. “Simple. We’re gonna tear this house apart until it’s unlivable.”
“W-what? Y-you can’t do that! I’m calling the police!”
“Go ahead. Call ’em. You think we’re scared?” the long-haired thug said, flashing a row of yellow, jagged teeth.
“S-stop! D-don’t come any closer!”
“Or what?”
The long-haired one pulled a hunting knife from his pocket and flashed it at her.
“You don’t get it, sweetheart. No one’s coming to help. Not you. Not your blind mother. You’re both going down with this dump.”
Rose’s heart sank.
Was that… a death threat?
What the hell was she supposed to do now?
“Rose, what’s going on? Who’s out there?” Mary called out as she stood up. Using her cane, she started slowly walking toward the front.
“Get inside, Mom!”
“What?”
“I said GET INSIDE! NOW!”
While Rose was distracted by her mother, the long-haired thug jumped and landed right in front of her. Then his hand shot to her throat.
“Gghk!”
“I hear you work at a strip club now,” the thug said, gripping her neck. “Bet you’ve got a smoking hot body under this coat. Be a damn shame if we didn’t get a taste before we kill you.”
Rose’s face turned pale. She was going to be raped? Was this really happening?
“P-please… don’t…”
Tears rolled down her cheeks. She could hear her mother calling out for her, panic in her voice.
The thug, meanwhile, licked his lips and pressed the tip of the knife to her throat, then slowly trailed it downward toward her chest.
“Let’s see what you’re hiding under this fancy velvet coat,” he sneered, yanking it open.
Her deep cleavage was now exposed.
“Damn! Big tits on this one. You flaunt these babies for those sleazy club-goers?”
Rose didn’t answer. Eyes shut tight, she kept crying. She was so terrified, she couldn’t even lift her arms.
“Then you won’t mind if I enjoy ’em too, huh? I bet plenty of those creeps would’ve paid extra for a shot at the real thing.”
She clenched her eyes shut harder. Her mother’s voice rang out again, louder now, in full panic.
“Shit!” the thug snapped. “You two, take care of the blind bitch! Shut her up! I don’t want to hear another damn word from her!”
Three of the gangsters rushed toward the porch. Rose could hear them shouting at her mother, which only made her sob harder.
The long-haired thug went back to her bra strap, tracing his knife across it.
“You won’t be needing this,” he growled, slicing it off.
Rose wanted to bite off her own tongue, especially when she felt the thug's filthy hand on her left boob.
Someone, please... anyone… help me! Help us! Please! she screamed in her mind.
Frustration and despair consumed her. After five long years of fighting to survive, was this really how it would end? She couldn't accept this but couldn't do anything to change it!
And then, just as the thug’s hand slipped inside her bra and gripped her other boob, the screech of tires split the air.
A second later, a voice thundered:
“I’LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!!!”

Have You Prepared Everything?
Frustrated and humiliated, Max and Jefferson exited the Silvergate Residences marketing building.Max couldn’t stop grumbling, cursing at Melanie, Vincent, and of course, Leon. Jefferson didn’t say a word, but from the fiery look in his eyes and his flushed face, it was clear he was furious too.Yet beneath that anger, Jefferson kept asking himself: who exactly is Leon? The fact that Leon had truly bought one of the most expensive houses in Silvergate Residences proved he wasn’t just anybody. And that black card with its suspicious design—Jefferson was now convinced it was indeed a special card, one reserved for the most influential people in the military.Which led him to another question: was Leon one of them?Up until now, Jefferson had only heard about the black card in rumors. He—and he was sure most the people in the military—had never seen anyone actually use one in real life. But he had just seen it. With his own eyes. His curiosity about Leon’s background surged. He was certa
The Aura of The CEO
Max and Jefferson had completed the house purchase ten minutes ago. Yet, they still hadn’t left. Both of them were waiting for Leon to return. “What’s taking that bastard so long? What the hell is he doing in there?” Max grumbled. Jefferson didn’t say a word. He just leafed through the house documents Melanie had handed him. The house he bought had a pretty fantastic price, though it wasn’t the most expensive one in Silvergate Residences. He was curious—did Leon really buy the most expensive house in that ultra-exclusive neighborhood like he claimed earlier? And when Leon finally appeared, Jefferson noticed first and stood up. Max stood up too. Their eyes locked on Leon—though with very different expressions. Leon walked calmly and confidently, hand in hand with Evelyn. Walking alongside them was Melanie. This made Jefferson suspicious. Something didn’t smell right. “Let me guess. You couldn’t complete the payment like you bragged earlier, and now this saleswoman is escorting you
We Believe He Can Afford It
It wasn’t just Max, Melanie—the saleswoman—also couldn’t understand why Anthony—her superior—was suddenly treating Leon with such respect.Did Anthony see something in that strange card—something only people at his level could recognize?“Is there a problem, sir?” Anthony asked Max, voice laced with sarcasm.“Yeah, of course there’s a problem!” Max snapped. “Explain to me why your attitude toward this thug just flipped 180 degrees!”Anthony narrowed his eyes slightly at the way Max rudely pointed at Leon.“This gentleman deserves to be treated with full respect, sir. He is a prospective buyer of the most expensive house at Silvergate Residences.”Max couldn’t believe his ears. He scoffed.“Oh, come on. Judging by your appearance, you seem to hold a decent position here. And yet you actually bought this thug’s nonsense? I told you—that's just a gym membership card, dressed up to look fancy. What do you think it is? A black card with an unlimited credit line?”Anthony wanted nothing mor

“Let her go, Leon. Just let her go and let’s get out of here,” Evelyn whispered, panic creeping into her voice.Leon did release the saleswoman’s hand—but he didn’t move. He stood his ground, his eyes locked on the blonde man. There was something familiar about the guy’s face.“You okay? Did this guy hurt you?” the blonde asked the saleswoman.“No, sir. I’m alright,” she replied.Leon found the blonde man’s fake chivalry suspicious. And two seconds later, he realized that this guy was Max—the guy he’d beaten to a pulp the other night at Lust & Ashes.“So you really are a savage, huh? No matter where you are, you’re always causing a scene. What are you? Some kind of thug?” Max sneered.Max looked smug despite his broken arm, probably because he wasn’t alone. His uncle Jefferson, a military man, was with him.Leon glanced at Jefferson. Judging by the insignia on his uniform, this man held a decent rank. But Dimitri still outranked him by far.“Hey, I’m talking to you. You're pretending
Are You Trying To Embarrass Us?
At La Bianca Pietra…Leon had just ended his phone call with Rose. While waiting for Evelyn to return from the restroom, he dialed Dimitri.[Sir.]“I need to confirm my mother’s situation. Is she safe at home?”[Yes, sir. She’s safe. I’ve assigned four soldiers to guard her house. So far, they haven’t detected any threat or danger.]“You sure those four guys are reliable?”[Absolutely, sir. I handpicked my best men to protect your family. Your sister is also safe now. Two of my soldiers are currently escorting her back home.]Leon narrowed his eyes. Dimitri had never lied to him, which meant what Rose told him about their mother being kidnapped and held in Ravencross District was likely a ploy—something the Devil Crow mafia had cooked up to mess with his head.A distraction. That’s what Leon suspected.“Good. Make sure both of them stay safe. And while you’re at it, begin preparations to raid The Devil Crow’s secret hideout. I’ll personally lead the strike—late tonight.”[Copy that. I
Under Control
The bearded man noticed the helicopter too. That smug grin vanished from his face in an instant. He knew damn well—whoever was in that chopper, they weren’t there to help him.Meanwhile, the Devil Crow bikers were almost at the scene. But the helicopter shifted position, turning to face them, and began to dive.“You’re wrong. You’re the one out of time,” said the soldier on the right. The bearded man scowled. A heartbeat later, the helicopter opened fire, unleashing a rain of bullets that tore through the incoming bikers.“Surrender. You don’t want to die here, do you?” the soldier added, as he and his partner closed in, narrowing the gap between them and the bearded man. What about the biker backup? Their formation had crumbled. Those still on their bikes turned tail, peeling off to escape the next barrage of gunfire. In less than sixty seconds, the helicopter had neutralized the threat—giving full control of the situation back to the soldiers assigned to protect Rose. The bearded ma
