The meeting held with the Council of elders and every other person present was the shortest meeting that had ever been held in history.

Saint was devastated by all that had happened and could barely speak. Disappointment was an understatement to what he felt—and he knew that he wouldn't recover from this magnitude of grief for a long while.

As soon as everyone had been dismissed from the meeting, Saint lingered in his chair a while longer. The bone of contention at the meeting was to discuss how and in what way the dead bodies of his subjects would be buried.

It was a disaster to have this amount of people buried in just one day.

As a form of punishment, Saint had asked that Gerald be among the servants who would dig the ground for the bodies to buried in. He could not met out the same punishment to lord Magnus majorly due to his age.

Gerald had been handed the greater portion of ground to dig. Gerald pleaded with Saint that his punishment be reduced as he could not bury that muc

On the day the burial was to take place, Saint could not bring himself to attend. That morning had been the weakest he had ever been. Getting out of bed was a struggle for him. When he had awaken, he laid in bed with his eyes fixated on the ceiling for more than half a hour—his body limp. Despite the persistent knocking on the door, he didn't move from the initial position. And even when Lord Magnus' beckoning from the other end of the door clouded his thoughts for a moment, it didn't cause him to move. "Saint. I know that you can hear me, you might probably not be listening to me but I know that you can hear my voice from out here." Lord Magnus' voice resounded from the other end of the door. "We have been able to bury all the bodies, Saint. I'm sorry that things had to turn out this way.."There hadn't been any response. Lord Magnus, fully in the consciousness that the chances of Saint recovering from this and the things going back to his they been were very slim. "I'm truly so

A long silence ensued, and Saint's body went limp, his bulged eyes almost popping out of its sockets. But there wasn't a look of shock on his face and instead, his disbelief metamorphosed into anger. Obviously, he had not believed what Gerald had just said as it was obvious that he was saying all of this to act as a distraction for him. He couldn't believe the guts Gerald had to spew such nonsense from his mouth. "I don't care if this a joke to you or not..." Saint began, after he had found his words, "take your words back!" He ordered him, his whole body trembling with rage as if he had been set on fire. "I'm sorry, your majesty, but I cannot take back my words. It's true and I can prove that she's the one behind the killings." Gerald said, his gaze falling back onto the floor, his body shivering from all over. "You...." Saint bellowed and raised his curled his fist into the air. He stopped himself quickly before he landed the hit. "You dirty hater, take that back now!" Saint y

The air around Saint's mouth and nostrils grew hotter as he marched all the way on foot to the Zlate's villa, not caring about the distance he had to cover. Drake kept yelling at him to stop but Saint didn't listen and kept on marching further, making Drake to regret why he ever went after him. It was a bad idea because Drake could not keep up with Saint's pace. "Saint, please hold on now!" Drake let out in a raspy breath, hoping that Saint would slow down any time soon, but it was far from that. "Victoria!!" Saint kept yelling as he neared the Zlate villa, "Victoria get out here!" He yelled again. Drake could not help but wonder if Saint was losing his sanity as he drew closer to the villa, how was it possible that Victoria—if she was in, would hear him all the way from out here. Saint barged into the villa, not caring if he was welcomed or not. "Oh good heavens. Saint, thanks goodness that you're here." Lady Erica cried out as soon as she set her eyes on Saint. "Please come t

"Stay away from that woman, Saint. That's not Victoria!!" Drake warned him but Saint's thoughts had been clouded, preventing him from hearing anything asides Victoria's voice. He tried pulling her away from him but he felt weak. This woman didn't look a bit or sounded like Victoria but she smelt like her and felt like her when Saint's palm grazed her skin. "Saint, listen to me and step away from that woman, she isn't Victoria." Drake continued to warn him. Victoria let out a genuine smile without looking at Drake and instead, she pulled Saint closer to herself and kissed him on the cheek. "I know that you missed me, didn't you, hun?" She said and smacked her lips seductively at him Before moving on to caress his beard slightly. Saint was too stunned to speak and just kept on staring at her. He forced himself back to reality and peeled Victoria's arm off him even though what he wanted to do was to circle his hands around her waist and bridge the gap between them. "Victoria, I nee

His knees grew so weak under him that they could barely hold up his weight. He struggled to stand and even when his knees started to wobbel, he held onto the wall for support but knew that he would not be able to stay for that long. Victoria was not done talking, she was still yapping away with a rush of excitement at how she managed to fool everyone and make them think that they were still being tormented by another enemy when all along, it had been her who was responsible. Before Drake could sense what was happening, Saint had already collapsed to his knees. "Why?" He kept on crying as his head fell onto the floor, "why did it have to be you, Victoria? Why not someone else?" He cried out. "And what the fuck is that supposed to mean? You think I'm not a worthy opponent, don't you, Saint? Well why don't you get up and let me show you what exactly I'm capable of doing!" She said angrily as she rushed towards him and pulled him by the collar and was about to drag him up to his feet

"Where the hell are you, you dirty bitch. Stop being a coward and come out and fight me!!" Drake yelled, his eyes darting across the room, looking for any signs of her. He had managed to wrestle one of Victoria's daggers from her. He got himself badly injured in the process but he was able to get her to release one of the daggers. Victoria, seeing this, immediately went into hiding. "Come out here, you pig!" Stage screamed again. Victoria's laughter filled the room, causing Drake's stomach to tighten. He tried to follow the sound of the laughter but it seemed to be coming from all around the room. "Come out here, so I can slit your throat in half and feed your head to the vultures." Stage threatened but instead, Victoria's laughter doubled. "I'd love for you to do that, Drake." Victoria said and finally appeared from the shadows, holding her last dagger in hand. "Let's make this quick, shall we?" She intoned and made bone cracking noises with her neck. She had no interest in pr

Drake clasped his hand coated with blood into Saint's. "You look like you've lost a lot of blood, I'm so sorry that I could not help you out." Saint apologized genuinely. "It's fine, I completely understand you." Drake said, nodding his head slowly. "I never knew that she was strong, Saint, she doesn't even look it at all." Drake said as he stood to his feet but Saint didn't want to let go of him yet for fear that he might fall. "Yeah, I didn't know too. Thank you for delivering that final cut to her, I wished that I had been the one to do it myself." Saint said again, he couldn't bear the way his conscience was pricking at him for not wanting to fight Victoria even though he has sworn to himself that he would not show mercy on the one who had taken the lives of his people. It took both men the whole day to get to the dragon clan and not a single word had been exchanged between both men. Saint's guilt was eating him whole, while Drake was lost in his own thoughts. At intervals, Saint would wipe out an invisible sweat from his face and blow out some air or chew ok his fingers. He had apologized in his head to Gerald and his uncle time and time again over what he had said to them and how he had treated them. "Gosh, will they ever forgive me?!" Saint said to himself, his gaze falling onto the floor. "Who?" Drake asked him. "Hunh?" Saint asked, lifting his gaze slowly to meet his brother's. He didn't think that Drake had heard him talking to himself. "Who is never going to forgive you?" Drake clarified. "Oh, uhm..." Saint let out a loud sight before he would confess, "I had been too hard on them especially Gerald. I had been quick to declare punishment without even getting to listen to them. My own family—the people I call my own. I had casted them as

It was hard to tell when it was day in this realm, because more than half of the place was already lit up by a translucent light. The moment Saint awakened, he found a tray already in front of him. "What the heck?!" He exclaimed and swung up from the bed, "how did this get in here? I remembered I locked this door, so how did this get in here?" He asked no one in particular. He looked around the room he was in to make sure that there hadn't been any other entrance asides the front door. He had checked before he went to sleep. He had locked the doors on purpose so no one would make an entrance. Or it seems one of the assistants he had seen around the house had spare keys to the door. Saint bent to look at the lock again. The lock didn't require any keys to open it, instead, he had opened and locked the doors with a code he had found in a box that said it was exclusive to only him. "Something is amiss here." He said and turned to look at the tray again. It seemed like there was food

He could literally feel his hands melting into Lysara's as soon as he touched her. He couldn't describe the feeling but her hands felt like magic—it was cold and warm at the same time, the softest hands he had ever touched. "Are your hands always this soft?!" Saint accidentally blurted out. Lysara's cheeks flushed. But instead of answering, she closed her eyes and wrapped her hands around Saint's palm—even when her hands wouldn't go round his palm. "Close your eyes too, Saint." She said, when she could still feel his hot gaze upon her. "Oh...yeah." he replied nervously and hurriedly closed his eyes too, unsure if he was supposed to tighten his grip on her too. He couldn't tell what was about to happen but to be on the safer, he held onto Lysara tightly—his stomach grew warmer at the thought of him holding Lysara's soft hands still. Saint felt himself revolving but Lysara has warmed him not to open his eyes yet no matter what, or he could get stuck in a portal. When the vibration

Han took Saint to a place to stay, till he had fully utilised his right months. More like she took him to a mansion that was bigger than the imperial building back at the dragon clan. Saint couldn't hold back his surprise when Han informed him that he had the mansion all to himself with multiple beings of lesser denominations who were at the mansion to provide for all his needs. "You mean to tell me that I'm going to be staying here all by myself. I don't want to seem ungrateful but isn't this....well too huge for just one person to stay in?" Saint had asked, never taking his eyes off the magnificent building situated in front of them. Han giggled lightly, "You're a god here now, Saint and you will be treated like that until your time here is over."He arched his brows at her response. He hadn't thought that she had meant any of what she said about him being a god or anything like that. While Han was about to lead him into the mansion, Saint wanted to ask about the first set of go

  • Chapter 115

Saint’s consciousness stirred, but instead of waking up to the sterile smell of a hospital or the hushed whispers of doctors and nurses, he found himself in a place unlike any he had ever seen. The sky stretched endlessly above him, glowing with hues of gold and silver, but there was no sun in sight. The air hummed with energy, thick and heavy, as though it carried the weight of ancient power. The ground beneath his feet felt strange—not solid stone, nor soft earth, but something in between, something ethereal. He glanced down at his hands. They felt lighter, stronger. The wounds and bruises from his battle were gone. His clothes, once tattered and stained with blood, had been replaced by a flowing silver robe embroidered with strange markings. None of this felt real. “Where am I?” he murmured, his voice sounding slightly different, as if it echoed within the very air around him. “You have arrived in the Demi-God Realm.” Saint spun at the sound of the voice, his instincts

"Where the hell am I?!" Saint mouthed as he struggled to sit up. A thin light that was filtering through the window was the only source of light in the dark room. He was able to sit upright after so many trials, his head felt faint and he struggled to remember the last thing that happened and how he had gotten here.Something felt off about this place, it didn't seem like he was in his chamber as he was familiar with the surroundings even when it wasn't lit up. He squinted his eyes, struggling to see in the darkness but his eyes couldn't take in anything when suddenly, a faint memory hit him—"Victoria? Drake?!" He called out into the darkness but was only hit by the response of his voice echoing off the walls. He remembered where he had been earlier—he remembered that he had been engaged in a fierce battle with Vic when she stabbed him. The thought of Vic stabbing him made him squirm. He placed his hand on the area he thought Vic had been stabbed him in, but there was not a singl

"Stay with me, Saint... please!!" Victoria's voice came out in a soft whisper. Since she was now out of her cell, the effect from the toxins she had been inhaling were starting to wear off. "Drake, we have to do something. We can't loose him like this." The poison in Drake was equally wearing off. The moment he stood up, the others surrounding them could feel the anger and hate emanating from him. "None of you should come close to us, or else, you're going to end up dead!" He spat out. Drake and Victoria quickly rushed Saint out. They managed to navigate their way to the entrance and took one of the cars in sight; luckily for them, the car they found had the key inserted inside of it. ********* As soon as they screeched to a halt in front of the hospital, they wasted no time in alerting them. The hospital doors burst open, and nurses and doctors came rushing out with a stretcher. Drake flung the car door open, jumping out to help as he and Victoria carefully lifted Saint’s limp

  • Chapter 112

At the far end of the room, Vic stood with an amused smirk, her arms crossed. Her presence exuded power—dark and overwhelming. She tilted her head slightly as she observed Saint, her eyes gleaming with malice.“You finally came,” she said smoothly, stepping forward. “I was beginning to think you had abandoned them.”Saint ignored her taunt, his gaze locked onto Victoria. Her chest rose and fell faintly—she was alive, but barely. His fists clenched at his sides.“Let them go, Vic.” His voice was calm but laced with deadly intent. “This ends now.”Vic chuckled. “Oh, Saint. You always think you can swoop in like a hero and fix everything. But you don’t understand… I’ve already won.”"Drop the dagger, Vic...." Saint ordered again, ignoring what she had said, "don't make this any harder than it is." He added. "But it already is. Someone should offer him a chair already, the show is just about to start." She said and erupted into another round of laughter. Saint was about to launch himself

Saint cut through the thick branches with the sword Sayid had handed over to him. He was relieved that he was able to convince him to head back to the clan with the others. He had seen the disappointment in his face when he told him that he couldn't afford to take him any farther than they had already come, and it was far too dangerous for Sayid to continue the journey with him. It was getting darker by every passing minute and Saint knew that he had to get on with his journey quickly. For some reason unknown to the others, Saint could sense that Vic was close by and these creatures that he had just battled with had been a decoy to distract them from the actual mission they had embarked on. He continued cutting down more branches as he walked. The sensation around him grew, signalling to him that he was already closer to Vic than he thought. He tightened his grip on the hilt of the sword and intensified the effort he used in cutting down more of the trees, clearing his path. The c

His eyes were still fixated on the creature. He had still not given up in trying to make out what it was and where they had come from. "Well then, suit yourself." Sayid said and started walking away. The stench that came from him was foul and immediately made the air unbearable to breathe. "Where are you going to, Sayid? We can't just leave Saint here all by himself!" Gerald said, his voice trembling with fear. "He's fine, you chicken heart, he just wants to set some things out for himself." Sayid said. He suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned to face both men. He had noticed that something wasn't right. "Where are all the soldiers?!" He asked. "Most of them are dead, I think the rest ran away!" Steward replied. "Including my men?!" Sayid asked angrily. "Every single one of them...""How pat
