Almero opened his eyes and looked around, finding the room strangely familiar. He slowly sat up and recalled the events of the previous night, when he had saved a woman who had been in an accident.
The sound of a door creaking interrupted his reverie. He saw a middle-aged woman, whom he believed to be a servant, walking towards him carrying a tray.
"Where am I now?" Almero asked after the woman placed the tray on the table.
"You are at the Xander family residence, sir..." the servant replied politely.
"The Xander family," Almero said, repeating what the servant had said with a frown.
"Yes, sir," the servant said.
"Last night I fainted while saving a woman, but how come I'm suddenly here?" Almero asked, still confused.
"The person you saved yesterday was none other than Miss Edeline, Mr. Valton's only daughter," the servant replied.
"Can I see Mr. Valton now?" Almero asked, lowering his legs from the bed.
"Of course, I'll take you to meet Mr. Valton, but after you've finished breakfast." Seeing Almero nod, the servant left the room.
After more than a week of living on the streets, Almero finally had a refreshing shower and dressed in neat, comfortable clothes. Almero looked handsome after shaving his mustache, and he couldn't believe the Valton family was so kind to provide for him.
Almero was now walking behind the servant. Upon arriving in the living room, he saw a middle-aged man sitting on the sofa. The man immediately folded the newspaper and placed it on the table upon seeing Almero.
"Continue your work, Ma'am," Valton said to the servant. "Sit down," he said to Almero.
"Thank you, Sir," Almero said politely.
"I should be the one thanking you for saving my daughter," Valton said, leaning back.
"I just happened to be there when it happened, and I just found out she was your daughter," Almero said calmly.
"If it had been anyone else, they probably would have just abandoned her, and if you hadn't saved her, she could have died in the car," Valton said, his face visibly worried. "You risked your life to save her, and once again, I am very grateful," he continued earnestly.
"Miss also gave me a ride when I was at my lowest," Almero said, and Valton simply nodded curtly. "How is she now?" Almero asked curiously.
"He suffered a head injury, but it wasn't too serious, so we didn't take him to the hospital. I've also had a doctor examine you, too. You only suffered minor injuries." Mr. Valton explained briefly and in sufficient detail.
"I'm relieved to hear that," Almero said, leaning back.
"How are you now? Are you feeling any pain?" Mr. Valton asked, picking up his coffee cup.
"I'm much better, as you can see," Almero replied politely.
Almero's body was still covered in wounds, but those wounds would heal with time. However, the pain in his heart would never lessen until he could exact revenge.
Meanwhile, Mr. Valton himself was still watching Almero. He had asked his men to find out the identity of the man who saved his daughter. He knew that Almero had been slandered by the Greysoon family, leading to his death by the roadside. However, Valton knew that Almero could rise again as long as he had strong support, and he had considered this.
"Don't you want revenge on the family that discarded you like trash?" Mr. Valton asked with a provoking gaze.
Almero paused, not expecting Mr. Valton to say this to him. He could clearly guess why Mr. Valton was speaking this way.
"Of course I want revenge on them. Can you help me, sir?" "I promise I'll do whatever you want." Almero stared at Mr. Valton with a determined expression.
Mr. Valton noticed the fire burning in the man's eyes. A fierce ambition was clearly visible in his eyes. Mr. Valton had discussed this matter with his wife last night, and now he just had to tell Almero his intentions. Valton knew that if the man was desperate, he wouldn't refuse.
"Will you marry my daughter?" Mr. Valton asked with a serious expression.
Almero was shocked and pulled back from the sofa. He still couldn't believe what he was hearing. How could Mr. Valton ask him to marry the only daughter of this family when he had nothing left, and his reputation had been destroyed by the Greysoon family that damned night?
Just before Almero could answer, a woman's voice suddenly interrupted him sharply.
"I don't agree," said the woman, none other than Edeline. "Why would Father make such a unilateral decision? This concerns my future," she continued firmly after sitting down on the sofa.
"He saved you." "Last night, and he indirectly gave you a second life," Valton said bluntly. "Marrying him was the right decision," he continued firmly without hesitation.
Edeline knew all too well that her father wouldn't easily change his mind once he'd made a decision. Edeline looked at her mother, who was beside her and looked pleadingly at the woman who had given birth to her. But her mother's answer only made her body tense.
"Edeline, you're 25 years old, and it's time to think about the future," Senna said, trying to persuade her daughter. "This is what Mom and Dad want. I'm afraid God will take me away one day. And I haven't had the chance to see you get married yet. Can you agree to Mom and Dad's request?" Senna asked her daughter, tears already streaming down her cheeks.
"Why do you say that, Mom? I'll be with you forever," Edeline said, hugging Senna's body with deep fear. For some reason, Edeline felt like Senna was hiding something from her.
"Edeline, Mom really wants to see you get married. Do what Mom and Dad ask." And since we were little, we've never asked you for anything." Senna held her daughter's hand with pleading eyes.
Almero remained silent, but he hoped she wouldn't refuse her parents' wishes. This was a great opportunity for him to take revenge on those who had ruined his life.
"Okay, Edeline will marry him if it will make Mother and Father happy," Edeline said after looking at her parents. "But will he agree to the marriage?" Edeline asked, looking at Almero.
"I agree to marry you, Miss," Almero said firmly and straightforwardly.
Almero swore he would destroy them soon. This marriage was the right decision for him.

"Why were you standing here all this time?" he continued, noticing Almero's uniform."I was working, sir, and your scream startled me," Almero said in a calm voice."What kind of work makes you hide behind a pillar, like you're doing something suspicious?" asked the security guard, not immediately believing what the man in front of him was saying."My superior asked me to check the broken parking lot lights," Almero said, showing his phone to the security guard.Silence. The security guard didn't answer immediately, but instead, he observed Almero's movements. Just as he was about t

Almero stared blankly at the woman's face, which suddenly turned sour upon seeing him. First Evidence
Jeff had just returned to the company, throwing his work files onto the table with a furious expression. He roughly opened the bottle of wine and then gulped down its contents greedily."Damn Almero! That bastard, how dare he embarrass me in front of so many people," he said, breathing heavily with anger. "Does he think I'll just stay quiet? Of course not, I'll make him go back to scavenging for used bottles on the side of the road," he said, glaring at the door.A middle-aged man immediately entered the room, his face tense as he realized he'd arrived at the wrong time. Just one look at him revealed that Jeff was in a bad mood."What's wrong?" Jeff snapped suddenly, targeting the man."The master couldn't reach you, so Master Okan asked me to ask you about..." Jeff, already irritated, interrupted impatiently. "Xander's company assistant has an urgent matter, so I haven't seen him yet," Jeff lied, deliberately trying to keep his father from getting angry when he found out he'd left w
The Secret Behind the Plan

It was a comfortable family retreat, with the scent of flowers wafting in the breeze."Somehow, I feel like Mr. Valton has another agenda behind this marriage," Almero said firmly. "If he didn't have a plan, how could he have chosen me as his son-in-law?" he continued, watching Mr. Valton closely.Mr. Valton wasn't surprised by what Almero had said. He knew this man had strong instincts."You are very observant, and that's why I chose you to be my daughter's companion," he said firmly. "I've asked my men to investigate everything about you, and you're simply a victim in the embezzlement of company funds," he continued."You must already know why I didn't refuse the marriage with Miss Edeline," Almero said matter-of-factly.Almero now knew that the Xander family was one of the most influential families in the country, even far above the Greysoon family. He ignored the pungent smell of the garbage, as the most important thing now was earning money to buy food.Almero had tried applying for jobs at every company, but none would hire him; they all said they no longer needed additional employees. This was despite the fact that they clearly stated on the company's gate that they needed additional employees. Eventually, Almero learned that the reason why all the companies he visited wouldn't hire him was none other than pressure from the Greysoon family. His former foster family had threatened to harass any company that hired him."Isn't that Almero, the former foster child of the Greysoon family?" a beautiful woman asked her boyfriend."Yes, that's right. His fate is very sad. Who told him to betray the Greysoon family, and now he's homeless?" the blond man said to his girlfriend wi
