"What are you thinking? You seem quieter than usual," Hazel complained as she hugged Glenn's back, who was lost in thought on their living room sofa.

"Oh—really? I didn't realise I was thinking about work issues even though I'm at home; sorry," Glenn reasoned, stroking his wife's hand that was embracing his chest.

"Is that all?" Hazel probed, not believing Glenn's excuse.

"Yes, sweetheart, I'm trying to acquire some collapsing pharmaceutical companies, but the board thinks it's a risky investment; no one agrees with me. Even when Father also gave his input, most of the board didn't want it. It's going to be a big battle," Glenn explained.
