Hearing Anthony's words, Freya Mitchell was momentarily stunned.

But she had made her choice.

If she continued to be involved with Anthony, it would not only affect her but also jeopardize the future of the Mitchell Family.

Throughout history, those who sought greatness had to make sacrifices.

And in her eyes, Anthony was a sacrifice she had to make.

Seeing Freya remain silent, Anthony continued,

"Freya Mitchell, is this how you see me? Being cast aside by you wasn’t enough?"

"Enough!" Freya snapped, her voice tinged with frustration. "Anthony, I don’t want to argue with you anymore.

"I only called to tell you this—no one can stop me from securing a partnership with Horizon Group.

"I will win that contract, no matter what."

"Oh? Is that so?"

Anthony chuckled.

"Well then, I won’t argue with you either. I sincerely hope you succeed on your own merits and won’t come begging me later."

With that, he ended the call.

Freya stared at her phone, her face twisted in anger.

Clenching her fists, she slammed them onto the desk, gritting her teeth.

"Anthony, you bastard! I hate you! I hate you!"

Outside her room, Kimberly Lane had overheard everything.

Her face turned red with fury.

"That ungrateful bastard!" she fumed. "How dare he upset Freya like this? I swear, I’ll kill him!"

Still seething, she stormed off to find her son, Preston Mitchell.

When she relayed what had happened, Preston exploded with rage.

"That piece of shit!" he cursed. "How dare he upset my sister?"

"Mom, don’t worry. I’ll break his damn legs!"

Kimberly nodded approvingly.

"Just don’t let Freya find out. She acts tough, but deep down, she’s sentimental."

"Got it!"

Preston’s eyes gleamed with malice as he clenched his fists.

Crystal Haven – The Most Prestigious Estate in Silverhaven City

Meanwhile, Anthony arrived at Crystal Haven—the most prestigious villa district in Silverhaven City.

An oasis of tranquility amid the bustling metropolis, it was a place reserved for the city's elite.

Just as he stepped forward, a military-plated SUV suddenly pulled up beside him.

The window rolled down, revealing an elegant yet sharp-featured woman.

"Anthony…"

Her voice was familiar.

Anthony turned and raised an eyebrow.

Joanna Kennedy?

She was the heiress of the Kennedy Family, a powerful military lineage.

More importantly, she had been Freya’s best friend since their university days.

Her brows furrowed slightly.

"Anthony, didn’t you and Freya divorce? What are you doing here?"

Anthony smirked.

"That’s right. I’m divorced. No place to go. Came here to find a job."

Joanna nodded.

"Good. You and Freya were never a match anyway. Your status was never worthy of her."

Anthony chuckled.

"Of course."

Joanna glanced at him and said,

"Anthony, there’s no work for you in Crystal Haven. Try your luck elsewhere—this isn’t the place for someone like you.

"But since you and Freya were once married, I can help you find a way out—at least so you won’t starve."

Anthony merely cast her a glance before turning away.

Seeing this, Joanna’s expression darkened.

"Stop right there!"

She jumped out of the car, anger flaring in her eyes.

"Anthony, who the hell do you think you are? Did you not hear me? Let me tell you something—you’re nothing without Freya!"

Anthony found her arrogance irritating.

His voice turned cold.

"Miss Kennedy, go about your business. You and I are not from the same world.

"Someone like you shouldn’t waste time talking to someone beneath you."

With that, he strode into Crystal Haven without a second glance.

"Fuck! Bastard!"

Joanna trembled with rage.

She immediately dialed Freya Mitchell.

The call connected swiftly.

"Freya! Anthony is a complete bastard! He doesn’t even know how to appreciate kindness!"

Freya blinked in confusion.

"Joanna? What happened?"

Joanna launched into a furious recount of her encounter with Anthony.

Freya was momentarily stunned.

Why was Anthony at Crystal Haven?

She couldn’t understand it.

But she didn’t dwell on it for long. Instead, she comforted Joanna and invited her over.

Mitchell Family Residence

Half an hour later, Joanna sat across from Freya, her brows furrowed.

"Freya, is there anything I can do to help? I have connections. If I can help, I will."

Freya pondered for a moment before speaking.

"Joanna, can you help me find out where Horizon Group’s Chairman lives?"

Joanna nodded.

"I’ll send out an inquiry right now. We’ll find him."

"Thank you so much, Joanna!"

A smile finally broke across Freya’s face.

Joanna was one of the few people who could still make her smile.

An hour later, Joanna left the Mitchell Family estate.

As she drove, her phone buzzed with an incoming message.

The message was short and to the point:

"Last name: Jones. Residence: Crystal Haven."

Joanna’s hands froze on the steering wheel.

Jones?

Crystal Haven?

Her expression stiffened.

She lived in Crystal Haven.

And the people who resided there were all powerful and influential figures.

She had never interacted much with her neighbors.

But to think that Horizon Group’s Chairman… was her neighbor?

What a twist of fate.

Without hesitation, she dialed the number that had sent her the message.

The call connected, but the response was cold and firm.

"Apologies, Miss Kennedy. Further information is classified."

Joanna was stunned.

Then, slowly, the corners of her lips curled into a mischievous smile.

"Interesting… I refuse to believe I, Joanna Kennedy, can’t uncover your identity."

With that, she sped up, heading straight for Crystal Haven.

Crystal Haven – Villa 001

Inside the grand villa, Anthony stood in the spacious living room.

Before him, five men knelt respectfully.

They were the five elite warriors that Caroline Hill had assigned to him.

Anthony chuckled.

"Please, there’s no need for such formalities. Stand up and introduce yourselves."

"I pledge my allegiance, Master—I am Heracles!"

"I am Achilles!"

"I am Perseus!"

"Master, I am Odysseus!"

"And I am Theseus!"

One after another, the five men declared their names with unwavering resolve.

"Excellent! Absolutely marvelous!"

Anthony's face lit up with excitement. "From now on, you will follow my command."

The heaving air over the four quarters suddenly sank. A darkened silhouette dragged itself out of the heights of the sky, like a deeper thread of night within the night, easing toward them. It had no sound, no scent; even the grain of its aura felt sanded smooth—more secret than a ghost, like a frost-sheathed dagger settling wordlessly to the throat.A heartbeat later, a figure fell from the heights. He touched down without a sound, yet his presence tore the silence around him. It was a tyranny that needed no words; with just an inch of ground underfoot, hearts clenched.“Holy Emperor!!”“The Holy Emperor is here!”“Lord Holy Emperor, a god forever…”“Lord Holy Emperor, mighty and unyielding!”“We can kill these Ardenians now…”“We must kill them…”The boiling shouts surged like oil set alight, raising the temperature of every throat at once.
