Russel, Anya, Xander, and the others wasted no time spreading the word about Plan D.

The decision passed from one person to another in seconds, and once everyone understood what it meant, nobody questioned it. There was no room for debate anymore. Every other option had either failed or carried even greater risks. Whether the plan succeeded or not, it was still their best chance.

“Move!”

The order rang out, and the entire shelter sprang into action.

If they chose to remain in The Ark, the path ahead was obvious. They would spend the coming weeks repairing collapsed tunnels, replacing damaged supports, reinforcing cracked walls, and rebuilding every defensive structure that had been destroyed during the Mech Siege. It could be done. But it would consume enormous amounts of time and resources.Even worse, they would be doing all of that while exposed. If the Mechanical Army resumed its patrols sooner than expected, or another group of survivors discovered their weakened shelter, they could find themselves fighting another battle before they had fully recovered.Leaving carried its own risks.Beyond the ruined shelter lay unfamiliar territory. They had no maps.No guarantee of finding another suitable location. No idea what dangers waited outside.Still, a fresh start might ultimately prove far more valuable than clinging to a place that had already reached its limits.Max slowly let out a breath.Dozens of people were waiting for h

The warm surge of energy slowly settled inside Max’s body. His muscles felt lighter. His breathing became steadier.Even his senses seemed noticeably sharper than before. Then another system notification appeared.[ Congratulations! You are the First Survivor to reach Level 10! ]Max blinked. The message wasn’t entirely unfamiliar. When he had become the first person to reach Level 5, the system had displayed something almost identical. That achievement had rewarded him with a set of Tier 2 Survivor Gear, equipment that automatically adjusted to his body and remained useful as he grew stronger. This time, however, the reward was on an entirely different level.Another notification unfolded before him.[ Reward Granted: Enhanced Cache Bundle ][ Description: A system-forged bundle containing one Enhanced Cache from each category: Energy, Entertainment, Food, Medical, Shelter, Stealth, Survival Tools, Transport, Water, and Weapon. Enhanced Caches provide superior resources compared to t

Only a few moments earlier, while the rest of the survivors celebrated, Max had remained unusually quiet. His attention never left the glowing system windows floating before him.Every notification reminded him of everything he had survived during the last three days. More importantly, they showed how much stronger he had become after enduring the Mech Siege. He quietly opened his status window.[ Name: MaxTitle: Survivor, Pioneer, Siege BreakerLevel: 9Health: 710/710Spirit: 156/156Physique Rating: D-Talent: Infinite Cache (SSS)Active Skills: NonePassive Skills: Keen Sense Lv0, Bio Adaptive Constitution Lv0Skill Point: 9 ]Max carefully studied every number.Compared to his earlier levels, the increase was becoming more noticeable. From Level 7 onward, each level now granted twenty additional Health Points instead of the previous amount. His Spirit also continued increasing by two points every level. It wasn’t a massive improvement on paper, but over time those extra points w

Erin had only recently managed to reach Level 5.For several days, he had been completely stuck, unable to figure out how to progress any further. It wasn’t until he accidentally discovered the use of Energy Cores that he finally broke through the bottleneck and continued leveling. He had been proud of that achievement. Now, that pride disappeared in an instant. The moment the Survivor Leaderboard appeared before him, his eyes locked onto the name occupying the very first position.“What?! How? Why is he so fast?!”His entire body stiffened. It had nothing to do with injuries or exhaustion. He simply couldn’t believe what he was seeing. After crawling out of the ruins of Ark-19 and surviving everything the Mech Siege had thrown at him, he had honestly believed he would be among the first people to reach Level 10.Instead, someone had already done it before anyone else. His disbelief wasn’t unique. The same reaction spread across the continent as survivors stared at the glowing leaderb

Across the continent, every survivor received the same system announcement. The notification appeared without warning, freezing people in place regardless of what they were doing. Whether they were searching ruined cities, hiding inside shelters, or recovering from the Mech Siege, everyone instinctively looked toward the glowing blue screen floating before them. [ System Update: Survivor Leaderboard Activated! ] [ Requirement: Level 10+ ] [ Monthly Rankings with Rewards for Top 3 Survivors. ] The message immediately stirred different emotions. Some people welcomed it with excitement. To them, it was a chance to prove themselves, earn rare rewards, and rise above everyone else. Others, however, felt their hearts sink. A public leaderboard meant their names would eventually become known across the world. None of them could tell whether that would become an advantage or paint a target on their backs. Many survivors had already decided to keep their Talents hidden. Now the syste

The glowing blue windows floated silently in front of every survivor. For several long seconds, nobody moved.Everyone simply stared at the rewards, almost afraid to believe they were real. After everything they had gone through over the past three days, the notifications felt almost unreal. Then Anya suddenly threw both of her fists into the air.“We did it! The Ark survived!”Her excited shout echoed through the underground chamber before she burst into laughter. It wasn’t elegant or restrained. It was the laughter of someone who had spent three days expecting to die and had finally realized she was still alive. The weight that had been pressing on everyone’s shoulders since the Mech Siege began finally lifted. Her excitement quickly spread to the others. One by one, smiles appeared across exhausted faces. Some people laughed out loud. Others simply leaned against the wall and let out long breaths they felt they had been holding for days.Xander was still staring at his rewards.“Ho
