Elijah chuckled beside them, watching the exchange with a fond look.

“Come on,” he said.

“Let’s go inside and eat. You’ll like the food, Sierra cooks nicely.”

As they stepped into the house, the cool air and elegant interior swept over them. Lily’s mother held her daughter's hand tightly, her eyes darting around the spacious living room with a mixture of awe and disbelief.

Lily, however, was all excitement.

“Wowww… Mommy look! Look at that light!” she pointed at the chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

“What’s that, aunty?” she asked Sierra eagerly.

Sierra smiled, walking beside her.

“That’s called a chandelier. It’s a special kind of light that makes the house look beautiful.”

“It’s so shiny!” Lily gasped, then pointed again at the TV.

“It’s so big!

Her mother, still stunned by everything, gave a nervous smile.

“Everything is so nice…” she whispered to herself.

Entering the glowing room, Sophia’s heels clicked softly as her eyes continued to roam. Her attention quickly locked onto a dominant figure seated near the center of the hall—a man whose presence practically swallowed the space around him.He appeared to be in his early sixties, dark-skinned, his head cleanly bald, a thick gold necklace gleaming around his thick neck, glinting under the low lights. A fat diamond ring rested on his pinky finger, and a cigar burned slowly between his fingers, wisps of smoke curling lazily upward.Around him, two young women dressed provocatively were perched on his lap, one running her hands across his chest, the other whispering into his ear while giggling, tracing kisses along his jawline. The manager beside Sophia straightened, respectfully nodding at the man.At just a wave of the older man’s hand, the two women stood up quickly and walked away, their smiles dropping as they disappeared into the crowd. The older man’s eyes, heavy and sharp, shifted

Sophia arched a brow, adjusting her handbag slightly, irritation flickering across her face.“I was invited,” she said calmly. “By someone important.”The second guard shook his head, unimpressed.“Doesn’t matter. Orders from the top. Invite or not, no luxury car… no direct entrance.”Sophia clenched her jaw slightly, exhaled sharply, then pulled out her phone and quickly tapped out a message to her manager.“At the entrance. They’re stopping me because of the car situation.”Within seconds, her phone vibrated with a reply.“Don’t move. I’m coming out to get you.”Sophia slipped her phone back into her clutch, her expression smoothing out. Sophia stepped gracefully out of the car, keeping her composure despite the irritation simmering beneath her flawless smile. She adjusted her clutch and spoke to the guards, her tone polite but firm.“Please… my contact said he’s coming out himself to get me. Just give me a moment.”The guards remained stone-faced, one of them jerking his chin towa

Elijah gave a calm nod, strolling forward and taking a seat comfortably in one of the leather chairs opposite the desk.“No need to announce it, Superintendent,” Elijah replied smoothly.“I was nearby… just decided to pass through and see the renovation work myself.”Dorson smiled tightly, settling back into his chair, hands folding neatly on his desk.“Well… you’ve certainly given us a new face around here, sir,” he said.“And the timing couldn’t have been better.”Elijah nodded lightly, resting one arm casually on the armrest of the chair, his fingers drumming softly on the polished wood.“I guess you’ve seen the news… about Phantom Reiss. What happened earlier today, right?”Dorson’s expression tightened, a more serious weight settling over his features. He nodded, his voice low but steady.“Yes… I did, Mr. Westbrook. Every station in the city has. The whole city’s buzzing about it.”Elijah leaned forward slightly, his tone calm but probing.“Good. Then tell me, Superintendent… wha

Dorson walked slowly to his desk and set down his hat, his expression unreadable. Then he turned around, leaned against the edge of the desk, arms folded.“I saw it,” he said quietly. The Senior Inspector stood stiff, waiting for Dorson’s reaction, but the superintendent remained quiet for a long moment, his sharp eyes distant, as if calculating. Finally, Dorson spoke, his tone calm but firm.“That wasn’t just some street fight… that was a message.”The inspector nodded quickly.“Yes sir. A loud one. The entire city is talking. Phantom Reiss just wiped out the Vorn Dogs like they were street thugs. Publicly claimed territory over New Ember… like it’s his personal kingdom.”Dorson exhaled through his nose, his jaw tightening slightly.“They didn’t just kill nobodies… they slaughtered one of the most ruthless sects from Raventhal. On camera. And Phantom made sure the whole world saw it.”The inspector shifted uneasily, voice dropping.“Do we… make a move, sir? Issue a warrant? Bring him

At the same time, across social media platforms — X, IG, and underground forums — a shocking video began to circulate rapidly. The footage opened with the bloody compound of Phantom Reiss. Bodies of the infamous Vorn Dogs members lay scattered across the cement floor like discarded dolls, some twisted grotesquely, others frozen mid-expression in terror. Blood smeared across walls and vehicles. The camera shook slightly, indicating it had been filmed hastily — but intentionally. In the center stood Phantom Reiss, towering over the battered and broken body of the Vorn Dogs’ local boss. Then came the infamous moment.Phantom, holding the gang leader by the head, used a dagger to carve “PHANTOM WARNED YOU” into his bleeding forehead, as the man whimpered and cried out weakly. His threats to Phantom were incoherent, muffled by blood and pain. The tension was unbearable — viewers could feel the agony, the raw violence, the humiliation. And then, with chilling silence, Phantom raised his gun

Phantom stood silently amidst the chaos—dozens of lifeless bodies sprawled across the compound, the scent of gunpowder and blood still thick in the air. His eyes swept over the corpses of the Vorn Dogs. They had come with threats, machetes, guns, and arrogance… and now they lay still, humbled by a single man.His lips twitched into a smirk. There was shock in his expression—but beneath it, unmistakable satisfaction. Untouchable… That was how he felt now. He had seen Elijah's strength before, but never like this. Never this raw. Never this dominant. And to think… this was the same man who used to sit quietly, barely drawing attention.Phantom clenched his jaw slightly, pride swelling in his chest. “New Ember has a god,” he murmured under his breath.Behind him, one of the younger men stood frozen, pale and trembling. He was the same guy who had once tried to mug Elijah months ago, not knowing who he was. He stared blankly at the bloodied courtyard, then at the long smear of red on the
