The guests fell in shock at that answer.

"I don't want to marry Andrew, priest."

The bride came out of that chantry full of roses. She put on the sandals that she had left outside the chantry.

"My good people. This nonsense ends here. The wedding is over and I'm leaving." Alice pretended to drop an invisible microphone. And while everyone watched, Alice took her best friend's hand and left the hall where she was supposed to marry Andrew.

"She left the groom at the altar alone."

"He looks like a beggar. I still want to understand what he does on that altar."

"Alice made the right choice. We're just wasting time here." One of the uncles was speaking in the midst of the people who were beginning to empty the wedding hall.

"I'm leaving. This marriage has been pretty good so far."

"Michael, bring us lots of beers. Today I won't stop drinking until tomorrow." A cousin of Alice's was speaking, as if he had already forgotten why he was there.

Andrew watched as the hall emptied as the priest packed his things and also prepared to leave.

Andrew didn't know what had just happened. He still hadn't been able to gain an idea of everything that had happened and he was on top of that stage of flowers, barefoot looking at the half-empty hall.

"May God stand with you my son," The priest took him by the shoulder and left the place with a great feeling of regret. There had only been the staff of the organization. The waiters and the maids. Andrew left there defeated, without tears in his eyes because the shock was huge. It even seemed that Alice knew everything beforehand. It was she who had prepared that wedding scenario. Andrew's opinions were never valid and she had chosen everything, even his wedding tuxedo. Andrew was wearing pointed shoes that looked more like flip-flops because his heel was exposed. Dressed completely in white, he walked the streets of Sterling City. He needed to get to the pizzeria to take off those clothes. He didn't know what he was going to do with her, maybe offer. He was hungry but had no appetite, and walked slowly causing people in the street to deviate from his path, until a group of policemen stopped him and asked him to accompany them.

"Sorry police officers, but why am I obliged to accompany you?" Andrew's arms were already raised in the air, and his body seemed to levitate as the cops carried him into the squad car.

"I don't know if you noticed, but you’re obstructing the passage of people here on the street. So don't ask questions and keep following us," said the policeman who seemed to lead that group of 3 policemen.

When they put him inside the car, one of the policemen took the club and pressed it lightly on Andrew's head "You look like you don't even have money to buy that tuxedo, tell us who you stole that from?"

"I think he was at a wedding, John," the cops in that area all answered by the name "John".

"Weddings are merry John, and he looks crestfallen."

The car door opened on the driver's side and the chief cop was looking in the rearview mirror.

"Tell us your story before you hear from us."

Andrew didn't want to talk, but he realized that even if he wasn't handcuffed, his situation could get worse if he didn't cooperate with the cops.

He explained that after being dumped by his fiancée, he was wandering around the city, and that he hadn't realized that he was obstructing the public road.

"Okay, so you'll just get out of the cell tomorrow," The chief policeman was shooting faster than the pistols they didn't have in their belts.

"Don't worry, we have food. We just don't have the most comfortable place, but the prison cell must be a hotel for homeless guys like you."

"But I already explained that I was distracted and downcast because my marriage had gone wrong."

"Yes, and so that the worst doesn't happen, we'll watch over you until tomorrow. All you have to do is cooperate and that way we can avoid putting handcuffs on you."

Andrew gulped and allowed himself to be led to the nearest police station jail cell.

That cell didn't even have a bed, and on top of that, he had to share it with a strange man who was as well dressed as he was, but unlike that white man, the man carried a striking black in his clothes.

"I know you must not have done anything serious, otherwise I doubt they would put you in the same cell as me," spoke a man about the age of Andrew who was better than him in every way.

He looked very rich, he was handsome and his clothes and accessories were much more expensive than all of Andrew's.

Andrew realized now that nothing was impossible, because even someone who seemed to be someone and have everything shared a prison cell with him.

As much as the police asked, there was no one Andrew wanted to warn about that situation. He was entitled to a free call, but then who was he going to talk to? Who cared about him, if not even the fiancée he had recently agreed to marry him?

At least he could eat a cold meal without having to spend what little money he had.

Said and done, the police released him after 24 hours. But before he left, his cellmate had given him a card with a readable telephone number.

"ASK ME A WISH!"

"What is this for? And why don't you go out?"

"As you can see, I'm not much for talking. My business here is different. I would appreciate it if you would go away and call the number only if you really need something."

"And who would attend to me? You? From inside this cell?"

"If you keep looking for answers inside here, you won't be able to answer the questions you'll find outside. Go on your way and pretend we never talked."

And as if it were magic, Andrew forgot he had talked to that man, put the card in his pocket, and went to the pizzeria, because he finally wanted to get rid of those wedding clothes.

"After all, you're living here. I knew something was wrong when I noticed that you were always going out late. You didn't go out late. You were staying here until the next day." Viviani was standing behind the counter, one of Andrew's laundry bags in his hand.

  • 110: HERNAND THE FIRST MAN

That shirtless man began to approach Andrew and after realizing that everyone, there was unable to stop him, either due to lack of conscience or visible fear, he reduced the fire in himself until it stopped illuminating that dark night.“Cough! Cough!” Andrew was coughing, still tied up against the wall. The drinking had long since passed, but he thought he was seeing things.“Hey Boss, why didn't you wait for me at the airport? I was scared when I found out that you were kidnapped. What a mess."The man speaking to Andrew had a slight Latin accent. He lifted him, and after tearing the ropes that bound Andrew with his bare hands, he helped him to shake himself. It was full of dust.“But who are you?”“I am the person responsible for you in this country, Boss. You can call me Hernand"Hernand left that place, and Andrew followed. A helicopter came down from the sky that night and picked up fur.“You really jumped out of the helicopter, Hernand. You're crazy. “ The pilot looked at the s

Andrew felt his suitcase crush his head, “PAFF!”. His own suitcase had been thrown at Andrew and that made him wake up, blinking his eyes very fast in fright. He couldn't bring his hands to his face because he was tied up.“Argh! What is this?”Andrew tried to adapt his eyes to the local light.“You're in your new home. Now this is first class”Andrew managed to adapt his eyes to the brightness of the place and realized that he was in a kind of very poorly maintained room where some men were playing poker and drinking beers. There was also a lot of smoke in the air, but Andrew couldn't be certain what they were smoking because the smoke was coloured. There were also the two men with ponytails who had picked Andrew up at the airport, and it was very likely they were the ones who had knocked him out.(Luckily I didn't die from that blow, but I'm glad nothing bad happened to me. How is it possible that they managed to kidnap me? Now, what do I do? I feel like I don't have my phone here,

  • 108: LET'S TAKE THEM

“Where is he?” she asked Andrew's mother, the first man to enter the house.Andrew's mother just pointed to the kitchen. She didn't know whom they were looking for, but she was sure it wasn't her.“STEP! STEP!” they walked quickly into the kitchen. And they analyzed the situation.“It's good that they arrived. Let's take the people from here. They call themselves Boss's parents. Let's find out and ask for an answer”The man spoke and after picking up the pan, he took out one of the brownies, and threw it in the face of Andrew's stepfather.“Now eat that sh*t! You were acting very smart"“Splash!” the Brownie splattered across Andrew's stepfather's face like it was sh*t. And that man left while Andrew's mother and stepfather were routed to one of the area's operations headquarters. The brownies were completely eaten. And inside that barracks, one of the men who looked like the boss had a walkie-talkie in his hand and was looking at Andrew's mother and stepfather as if he were a policem

  • 107: BROWNIES SERVE AS PAYMENT

In Andrew's old house, things remained the same. His mother was always upset about everything and she was always talking nonsense. And since there was no Andrew now, she limited herself to threatening her husband.“Go take out the garbage before I decide to throw your breakfast down the drain”“But I'm resting. I can't even do that at the weekend?”“I won't speak again. When I leave the kitchen, let you know there's no more breakfast for you”Andrew's stepdad got up and went to the kitchen to take out the black organic garbage bag and take it to the bin closest to the house. There were some of the past men who belonged to the factions and were organizing themselves to start making the monthly collections. Andrew's stepdad threw out the garbage and ran into the house, because he wanted to avoid being stopped by those people. He let his wife handle matters like that. Before closing the door, he was still peeking to see the movements that followed outside. He wanted to make sure no one h

  • 106: THAT’S TOLOMBIA

Andrew received a lot of that information about shootings between different factions of drug dealers, about the wars that the government had to stop drug trafficking, about human trafficking, about the countless lives that were lost due to poverty and the high level of prostitution.“Wow! I didn't know the weather there was so heavy”“And it will be worse for a foreigner, believe that. So don't trust anyone. If you want, enjoy and watch one of those videos you wanted to see about the country”“It's no use, I know it will be very family-friendly. Something to attract tourists”“Alright. Now you're speaking my language. I'm going to take advantage and upload some melee information, as well as some ways to handle your weapon. Always remember that I can only go through the basics in stages. Because your brain couldn't handle receiving everything at once. The human mind is selective”“Could you explain a little more to this boy who is a bit layman?”“The word is stupid, but it's normal for

  • 105: HOW YOU GO TO TOLOMBIA?

Andrew this time was going to an airport to use a commercial plane. He would travel first class, but the experience was still new to him. He had never left the country, not even for a walk. Upon arriving at the airport, it was as if they already knew he was going to arrive. Some men in unmarked suits who looked like they were from the secret services saw his car arrive and approached the luggage rack to take his bags.Andrew gave his car instructions for it to return to its parking spot inside his base of operations and after all the doors closed the car moved alone along the road outside that gigantic airport of international flights, towards the base of operations.“Sir Andrew, accompany us. We have your passport. We will check in in person and proceed outside the passenger control.”“I trust you to guide me” Andrew accompanied those who carried their bags to doors that were without queues. The detectors were specific to first-class personnel. And by the looks of it, Andrew was the
