The Winner, At Last!

Linnie was becoming quite restless and lonely just sitting in the living room and waiting. It was as though she was waiting for a bomb to drop. It had been more than an hour now since Luther and Laxus went into the study room for their presentations, and Abby also made herself scarce, so it was just Linnie.

She had watched a boring show from the TV, dozed off for a second, allowed her mind to wander into diverse territories, and now, she was wishing that she was elsewhere but here.

Linnie looked around, and again, she realized the amount of luxury that Abby had grown up in, unlike her. It made Linnie angrier and jealous, and even more so, that Abby had the attention of both men; Luther and Laxus. She was just like a statute that no one even had an interest in, and she had managed to snag Laxus’s attention, but the same Abby had stolen the moment away from her.

“I hate her!” Linnie groaned internally, so much so that she wished that something horrible would happen to Abby.
