After finishing breakfast, Darren left the apartment and hailed a taxi. The driver pulled over, and Darren opened the back door before getting inside.

"Where are you headed?" the driver asked.

"Somewhere called the Tower."

The moment the driver heard the name, his expression changed. Without saying another word, he stepped on the gas and drove away.

Darren stared after the taxi in confusion.

"What was that about?"

He shrugged and raised his hand to hail another taxi.

Adrian was the first person to answer the woman's question. He leaned back in his chair and looked at Darren with a confident smile.“What if he is not bluffing?” Adrian repeated, almost as if the question amused him. “There is no need to worry about that.”The woman looked at him. “And why are you so certain?”Adrian smiled.“Because I went to the same school as this loser. I have known Darren Hilton for years. Nobody in this room knows him better than I do.”Darren remained completely silent.Adrian pointed at him.“I can tell when he is bluffing. I could probably tell even if I were asleep. Darren does not have any trick hidden up his sleeves. He is only trying to play mind games with all of you because he knows he is screwed.”One of the men around the table nodded in agreement.“That makes sense.”Another member laughed. “Exactly. He knows he cannot fight all these armed guards, so he is trying to frighten us.”Adrian nodded confidently.“That is exactly what he is doing. He know

Adrian continued clapping for a few seconds before he finally stopped. His eyes remained fixed on Darren, and the mocking smile on his face grew wider.“Who would have thought that a day would come when the pride of the Hilton family would be standing at our mercy?” Adrian asked with a laugh. “The change of power is real, Darren. You should look around and understand what is happening.”He spread his arms as though he wanted Darren to admire the room.“Club 12 is already on the edge of controlling this entire city. We have money, influence, businesses, connections, and powerful people working with us. Meanwhile, you are standing here with nothing.”Adrian pointed at Darren.“You are about to be completely wiped out of existence.”Darren looked at him for a few seconds before answering in a flat tone. “It does not surprise me that you are among these losers.”Adrian's smile froze.Darren continued, “I did not expect anything better from you.”Adrian's face immediately changed.“What di

  • CHAPTER 422

The woman seated at the head of the table slowly leaned forward. She was dressed in an elegant black suit, and unlike the other members of the group, she carried herself with the kind of authority that made it obvious she was the leader of Club 12.Her eyes moved from Henry to Darren.“Henry Murphy,” she said coldly, “we sent you to bring Eddie Murphy’s head. Who is this young man you have brought here?”Henry remained silent for a moment before a sly smile appeared on his face. The woman’s expression became colder.“Did you forget that this meeting is supposed to be secret? Nobody is supposed to know about Club 12, and nobody who is not a member is supposed to know about this place.”“I did not forget,” Henry replied with a small smile. “I know exactly how important this meeting is.”“Then explain yourself.”Henry slowly turned toward Darren.“I could not bring Eddie.”Several members immediately frowned. “You could not bring him?” one of the men asked angrily.Henry shook his head.

  • CHAPTER 421

Henry had barely been pulled out of the overturned car when he stumbled forward and turned to face Darren. Although he was clearly shaken by everything that had happened, he tried to hide his fear behind anger.“You have no idea what you are doing,” Henry growled. “If Club 12 finds out that you dared to lay your hands on me, they will—”He did not get the chance to finish.Darren's hand moved across his face.Slap! The impact was so powerful that Henry's entire body spun around before he crashed face-first onto the pavement. For a moment, Henry remained on the ground in disbelief. He had been threatened before, insulted before, and even attacked before, but he had never expected Darren to slap him so casually.Darren walked over, grabbed him by the clothes, and pulled him back to his feet.Henry looked at him angrily.“You—”Another slap landed across his face.Slap!Henry staggered sideways.Darren grabbed him again before he could fall.“I gave you two hours,” Darren said coldly. “

  • CHAPTER 420

Henry, who was already under pressure to take Eddie's head to Club 12, looked at the one man standing in his way and then glanced at the more than twenty men behind him. Instead of showing fear, a dark grin appeared on his face.He knew Darren was strong. He had already heard from Jethro how Darren had defeated him and the men who had gone after Eddie earlier. However, Henry believed that Darren's strength would not be enough to deal with more than twenty men at once.Besides, Darren had become a serious nuisance since the matter concerning Eddie began. He had interfered several times, beaten his men, and now had the courage to stand in his way again.Henry quietly whispered, “So be it.”He snapped his fingers and pointed directly at Darren.“Take him out.”The order immediately changed the atmosphere. The roughly ten motorcyclists who had been waiting nearby started their engines and charged toward Darren. To them, Darren was only one man. They could not understand why their boss

Henry stared at Darren for several seconds before a cold grin slowly appeared on his face. He had expected to find the Hilton mansion waiting for him when he returned with more men, but instead, the young man had come out to meet him halfway. He shook his head with amusement.“I have not even reached your house yet, and look who has already come to meet me.”Darren said nothing.Henry took a few steps forward and looked at him with a smug expression. “Tell me, Darren. Did you come here to beg me not to burn your house to the ground?”Darren continued staring at him without saying a word.Henry laughed.“Or perhaps you have finally come to your senses and realized that you cannot protect Eddie from me.”He paused before continuing.“I will give you one chance. Bring Eddie to me and hand him over peacefully. If you do that, I might consider sparing you and the rest of your old grandfather.”Darren remained completely calm.Henry’s smile widened.“You should think carefully before makin
