CHAPTER 8.

UGLY??

There were onlookers, and students began pulling out their phones to capture the moment. However, in Campbell campus, there seemed to be a prevailing hypocrisy among them. They would eagerly record the most dramatic moments solely for the sake of gaining social media attention, even if it meant capturing someone's suffering or even their last breath.

Amidst the commotion, Olivia couldn't help but giggle. She felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that Robert would be expelled from the cinema.

Owen, on the other hand, stumbled back in shame. He didn't fully comprehend Robert's actions, but the forceful punch had left him disoriented. He blinked rapidly, trying to regain his focus.

As Owen lifted his head, gasps reverberated through the crowd. Even Olivia, who was eagerly waiting for the manager to arrive, was taken aback by the collective surprise. It appeared that there was no manager coming to address the situation.

Most students immediately aimed their cameras at Owen's face when they noticed a smudge on his makeup.

Olivia shouted once again, her frustration evident. "Hey, where the hell is your manager?" This time, she pointed directly at the cinema attendant.

"If you don't have a manager here, then call your security!" she exclaimed, her tone filled with irritation.

The attendant approached Olivia with a calm and polite tone. "How can we assist you, ma'am?" she asked.

Olivia scoffed in disbelief. "Have you been deaf this whole time while I've been shouting? Don't be ridiculous. Go inside and find your manager for me!"

Olivia looked at the attendant, surprised to see her standing still, her gaze fixed on the crowd. Olivia's eyes widened slightly. Had the attendant just ignored her and her complaints? It seemed absurd, considering Olivia's VIP status as one of the most popular students. Or perhaps it was because of how rudely Olivia had spoken to her?

Olivia's head spun with questions as the attendant continued to stand there, straining her eyes to observe the scene where Owen and Robert were engaged.

Meanwhile, Owen had regained his composure and looked at the onlookers, whose cameras were now focused on him.

Initially, being filmed by students was nothing new to Owen. He was somewhat of a celebrity at Campbell. However, something felt different this time.

"Fuck! Owen is so fucking ugly!" the first comment flew over his head, causing him to gulp and feel the impact of the hurtful words.

"Ugly?" he thought to himself, taken aback. Throughout the past few hours, nobody had made such comments. What had changed?

His shock deepened as another person remarked, "Damn! He wears more makeup than women!"

A realization hit him like a tidal wave. It dawned on him that his makeup had become smudged, and he hadn't noticed it in time. Unbeknownst to him, this entire situation brought a soft smile and amusement to Robert, who stood nearby, finding pleasure in seeing Owen being negatively portrayed, just as Owen had done to him. Owen had made sure to upload videos of Olivia rejecting Robert on school websites and academic groups. This was Robert's way of serving Owen a taste of his own medicine.

Owen raised his eyebrows at Robert, and anger began to boil within him as he saw Robert's broad smile. It was clear that Robert was behind all of this. Owen muttered through gritted teeth, "This is really his doing."

Uncertain of his next move, Owen knew that physically confronting Robert would be very useless, Robert was like a solid rock, capable of inflicting serious harm on his face! Sending his thugs to handle Robert was also out of the question, as they were nowhere to be found in this critical moment. Owen was left feeling utterly alone and unsure of how to proceed.

Shit! Owen clenched and unclenched his fists in anger. It was too late to hide now. Numerous students had captured photos and videos of his smudged makeup, and he was now being referred to as "Ugly Owen." Robert's pettiness knew no bounds.

Everything he had tried to conceal throughout his life, all his insecurities, were now exposed for the entire school to see. Anger boiled within him as he pondered his next move. Just then, Olivia noticed a petite lady approaching the crowd.

When Olivia failed to get the lady's attention, she walked up to her, determined. "Hey, I'm talking to you," Olivia twitched her arms, trying to grab the lady's attention. Reluctantly, the lady raised her eyes, devoid of any emotions, to meet Olivia's gaze.

For a moment, Olivia felt a flicker of fear, but she summoned her courage and explained, "There's someone causing a commotion over there. He didn't purchase any tickets! He's refusing to move from my VIP seat!"

Olivia lied, hoping to coax the lady into removing Robert from the cinema.

"I need you to call security and remove this piece of trash from here!" Owen demanded as the lady walked past him.

The lady, dressed in a custom Burberry yellow outfit, exuded sophistication and beauty. Her expensive attire hinted at her immense wealth. Unbeknownst to them, she was the owner of the cinemas!

"That's the lunatic!" Olivia pointed her finger at Robert.

The lady raised her eyes to Robert, and the entire room fell into a silence as deep as a graveyard. People wondered what she would do to Robert with her intense, emotionless stare. Those who had encountered her before knew that she despised talking and favored action, often resorting to physical confrontation.

For a few moments, she scrutinized Robert without blinking, intensifying the charged atmosphere. Even Olivia wondered why the lady hadn't already thrown him out of the cinema.

Whispers and murmurs filled the air as she walked toward Robert. Owen recognized that walk all too well—she was undoubtedly going to hit  Robert.

Just then, the door swung open, and a dozen men rushed inside. The students quickly moved backward, creating space for them to approach the lady. Clad in black hoodies and trousers, and sporting dark sunglasses, the men exuded a strong, muscular presence. They resembled wrestlers and boxers, ready to take orders and act accordingly.

"Madam Ivanna, you called for us!" one of the men said.

"Who was causing a commotion in my cinema?" the lady's voice was low and hushed.

When no one answered, she looked at Olivia, who quickly pointed towards Robert.

Ivanna walked slowly towards Robert, regarding him for another moment before sneering. "You better be ready to pay for it all, or you're dead!”
