Chapter 005- Everything seems to be okay!

Kira looked frightened as she sat on the couch. Although she was the trillionaire Bernard Smith's daughter, nothing prevented her from falling in love with the person she liked.

As she sat on the couch, her mind was racing with worries and fears. She felt like the weight of the world was on her shoulders, and she didn't know how to shake it off. Her fiance walked into the room and noticed her troubled expression.

"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, sitting down beside her.

She paused for a moment, debating whether or not to open up to him. She didn't want to burden him with her problems, but she also didn't want to keep them bottled up inside. Eventually, she decided to put on a brave face and pretend that everything was okay.

"Oh, nothing," she said with a forced smile. "Just lost in thought."

Welbeck looked at her skeptically but didn't press the issue. Instead, he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close. She leaned into him, grateful for his comforting presence.

But even as she tried to relax in his arms, her mind continued to race. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, and she didn't know how to fix it. She wished she could confide in her fiance, but she didn't want to burden him with her worries.

So she sat there, lost in her thoughts, while Welbeck held her close. And even though she didn't say anything, he could sense that something was wrong. He made a mental note to check on her later and make sure she was okay.

For now, all he could do was hold her and try to ease her worries. And even though she didn't say anything, he knew that his love and support were enough to help her through whatever was troubling her.

Welbeck looked at Keira again, sensing that something was still bothering her. He knew that she was still holding something back, and he didn't want to let her suffer in silence. He gently placed his hand on hers and said, "I can tell that there's still something on your mind. Please, tell me what's bothering you."

Welbeck said.

She hesitated for a moment but then decided to open up to him. "It's just that my mom still has doubts about you," she said softly. "She's worried that we're moving too fast and that maybe we don't know each other well enough yet."

The man felt a pang of hurt and disappointment. He had hoped that his fiance's family would accept him and support their relationship. But he knew that he couldn't let this setback derail their future together.

"I understand why your mom might have doubts," he said, trying to keep his tone calm and reassuring. "But I want you to know that I love you, and I'm committed to making this work. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to earn her trust and prove that I'm the right guy for you."

Keira looked at him with tears in her eyes, touched by his words. She realized that she had underestimated his love and dedication to their relationship. She felt a surge of gratitude and affection for him, knowing that he was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

"Thank you for understanding," she said, leaning in to kiss him. "I love you too, and I know that we can get through this together."

The man smiled, feeling a sense of relief and hope. He knew that they had a long road ahead of them, but he was confident that they could overcome any obstacle as long as they had each other. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close, grateful for the love and support they shared.

He took her hand in his and said, "Don't worry at all. I know how to let your mom understand my real background."

His fiance looked at him, surprised and curious. "What do you mean?" she asked.

Welbeck took a deep breath and began to explain. "I know that your mom is concerned about our relationship and wants to make sure that I'm the right guy for you. But I also know that she doesn't know much about my background or where I come from."

He continued, "I want to sit down with her and have an honest conversation about who I am, where I grew up, and what my family is like. I want her to see that I'm a good person who loves and cares for you and that I'm committed to making our relationship work."

Keira listened intently, feeling a sense of relief that he had a plan to address her mother's concerns. She knew that her mom was a tough judge of character, but she also trusted her fiance and knew that he was a good person.

"Thank you for being willing to do that," she said, squeezing his hand. "I know it won't be easy, but I appreciate your willingness to try."

Welbeck smiled, feeling a sense of determination and resolve. He knew that winning over her mother wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to do whatever it took to prove his love and dedication to his fiance.

"Don't worry," he said, pulling her into a hug. "I've got this. We'll make her understand, and we'll come out stronger on the other side."

They had been dating for almost three years now, and he knew that things were getting serious. He had to meet her parents again, but he was nervous about the upcoming second meeting. He wanted to make a good impression and show them that he was serious about their daughter.

He assured Keira and told her he was going to meet her parents again.

As he got ready for the meeting, he couldn't help but feel anxious. He had spent hours rehearsing what he was going to say in the previous days before the client came, how he was going to act, and what he was going to wear. He wanted to make sure that everything was perfect.

Finally, the day of the meeting has arrived. He drove over to Keira's parents' house, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. When he arrived, he was greeted warmly by Keira's father, who hugged him and welcomed him inside.

As they sat down to chat, Welbeck tried to relax and be himself. He talked about his job, his hobbies, and his family, hoping to make a good impression. He also asked Keira's parents questions about themselves, trying to show genuine interest in their lives. He was eager to know the main reason for her mom not accepting him

As the evening wore on, Welbeck began to feel more comfortable. He laughed and joked with Keira's father, feeling like he was starting to connect with him more. He shared some personal stories and experiences, hoping to show them that he was a good match for their daughter.

Mrs. Smith was still not touched by his words.

Welbeck concentrated on what his father-in-law said and acted not to have seen Madam Smith's attitude.

Finally, it was time to go home. Welbeck said goodbye to Mr. Smith and thanked him for having him over. As he walked out of his car, he couldn't help but feel relieved. He had survived the second meeting, and he felt like he had made a good impression.

Looking back on the second meeting, Welbeck realized that he didn't need to be so nervous. He just needed to be himself and show Keira's parents that he was a good person who loved and cared for their daughter.

Welbeck was feeling better today than the last time, with excitement and a heart filled with joy, he drove his car slowly in trafficking and headed towards his office

As Welbeck arrived at his workplace, he could hear his colleagues discussing the recent activities of various NGOs. He walked over to join the conversation, curious to hear what they had to say.

One of his colleagues, Hannah, was particularly passionate about the work of NGOs. She talked about the various projects they were working on, from promoting education to providing healthcare to underprivileged communities.

Welbeck listened intently, fascinated by the impact that NGOs were having on the world. He had always been interested in social issues, but he had never really considered the role that NGOs played in addressing them.

As the conversation continued, he began to ask questions about how NGOs were funded and how they measured their impact. He was impressed by the level of detail and transparency that NGOs used to report their work, and he could see how this helped build trust with donors and supporters.

His other colleagues chimed in with their own experiences of working with NGOs, sharing stories of the challenges and rewards of this type of work. Some of them had volunteered with NGOs in the past, while others had donated money to support their causes.

As the conversation wound down, he felt inspired by the work of NGOs and the impact they were having on the world. He made a mental note to research some of the NGOs discussed and learn more about their missions and work.

As he settled into his work for the day, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to work with such passionate and engaged colleagues. He realized that he was surrounded by people who cared deeply about making a difference in the world, and he felt proud to be a part of this community.

He got back home with a smiling face which made Keira sense that all was well today.

"I think you must be very tired and stressed out".

Keria said, trying to be curious and get the gist of how her fiance's day went today.

Welbeck looked at her and smiled.

"All is well".

He said and went to hug Keira.

"I need some rest after my meal, a tiring day today".

He said and went upstairs whilst Keira entered the kitchen with happiness to prepare his favorite meal.

It was a crisp autumn evening in the city, the kind of night that felt refreshing after a long, humid summer. Keira started with her meal preparation. Welbeck was having his bath and was eager to relax and unwind with her. As soon as she entered their apartment, the aroma of spices and garlic wafted through the air, tantalizing Keria’s senses and making her mouth water.

Welbeck quickly came from the room and was standing in the kitchen wearing his favorite apron, a quirky gift from Keira, stirring a pot on the stove. He looked up as she walked in and his face lit up with a smile.

"Hey babe, how was work?" She asked, turning down the flame and coming over to give him a quick kiss.

"It was busy, but I'm just glad to be home. What's cooking?" Keira asked, inhaling deeply and trying to guess the ingredients.

"I wanted to get something up there and you're done with your bath?".

"I wanted to surprise you I want to prepare the meal today".

He said.

" I'm preparing chicken curry, your favorite, " he added, proudly gesturing towards the stove.

Keira's heart swelled at Welbeck’s thoughtfulness. He knew how much she loved contemporary food and had been dying to try a new recipe at home. As Welbeck played the curry and rice, Keira got glasses and a bottle of wine, then they headed outside to their porch, a favorite spot of theirs.

The wind was picking up as they settled into their chairs, the cool breeze making Keira shiver slightly. Welbeck took off his apron, placed it around her shoulders, and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, "Don't want my girl to get cold now, do I?"

Keira leaned into his embrace, feeling incredibly content. She looked out at the cityscape, the twinkling lights of buildings in the distance. It was magical.

The delicious scent of curry mingled with the scent of autumn leaves as they ate, savoring each bite and enjoying the peacefulness of their moment together. The conversation flowed easily, just like it always did between them, making them feel like everything else in the world just fell away.

As they talked and laughed, Keira's eyes traveled over to the sky. The moon was out, and the stars were visible, shining brightly in the deep navy blue sky.

It was a perfect moment, one that Keira knew she would remember forever. She looked over at Welbeck, watching the way the wind blew his hair across his forehead, feeling a rush of fondness and love.

"You know, I'm so lucky to have you," she said, taking a sip of wine.

"I'm the lucky one, Em. You're everything to me," he replied, smiling warmly.

They shared another moment of silence, relishing the cool night air and the light sound of leaves rustling in the wind.

"Let's go for a walk," Welbeck suggested, standing up. "Maybe the cold breeze will be refreshing."

Keira couldn't help but grin. Welbeck always knew how to make her feel better, even without trying. They put their plates away, grabbed their Welbeckets, and walked out of their apartment complex, hand in hand.

Their walk was uneventful, but Keira found pleasure in the small things. The way Welbeck's hand felt gently wrapped around hers, the sound of their footfalls on the pavement, the cool breeze that brushed her hair.

They returned to their porch, and smiled at each other, both with bright rosy cheeks. They each wrapped their hands around a steaming cup of hot cocoa, letting the sweet liquid warm them up.

The night was quiet once again. In silence, they leaned back on their chairs. They held hands under the warmth of a cozy blanket as they gazed up at the stars, smiling at each other. She stayed there for quite some time, feeling grateful for the love and gentle moments she shared with Welbeck.

The night felt magical, just like the love that they shared. Keira knew that she would remember this moment always. Sometimes, it's not about grand gestures, but about the simple pleasures in life, like cooking a delicious meal, enjoying the autumn breeze, and being with the person you love.

They had spent a great day together and Welbeck felt so good when Keira didn't ask about how his meeting with her parents went.

He was just waiting for the day and everything was going to be a surprise to her.
