"Alright, since everyone is so interested, I'll treat everyone to a meal," Brentley said in a very calm tone.
The chubby guy's smile froze instantly upon hearing Brentley's words, and the surrounding classmates were equally shocked. No one had expected Brentley to actually agree to Colby's request! When Colby heard that Brentley Carter was really planning to treat the entire class to dinner, a flash of confusion crossed his eyes. He couldn't understand how a poor kid, who would do anything for money, suddenly seemed like a different person, willing to spend money on their class dinner. Ophelia, too, looked at Brentley with a hint of surprise. But she quickly concluded that Brentley was just bragging. How could he possibly have the money to treat everyone to dinner? Ophelia felt secretly relieved that she had already broken up with him. In her eyes, he was a good-for-nothing loser, not only broke but also boastful! "What's up with Brentley today?" Graham's face showed the same confusion. "What else could it be? Ophelia dumped him, and Colby insulted him. He's probably just trying to save face by agreeing to this," Tyree replied slowly. He then added, "But treating everyone to dinner would only cost a couple hundred bucks. We could help him cover it if needed." "Yeah, I just got my allowance," Graham nodded lightly, showing his understanding of Brentley's situation. "Hey, Brentley, what's gotten into you today? Not only are you going to the party, but now you're also treating everyone to dinner. Is this for real or what?" Farrah shouted at Brentley with a tone full of disdain. "Yeah, if you really treat everyone to dinner, Barrett will have to eat dirt!" Taylor chimed in. Barrett was the chubby guy who had just said he would eat dirt if Brentley actually treated everyone to dinner. "Of course it's real. It's just a meal," Brentley replied calmly. Then he turned to Barrett and asked, "So, when are you planning to eat dirt for everyone to see?" "Sure, treating us to a meal is fine, but what exactly are you planning to treat us to? You're not thinking of taking us to a street food stall, are you?" Barrett shouted at Brentley, his tone a bit awkward. "Brentley is finally treating everyone to a meal. I doubt it’s going to be street food. At the very least, it should be the Prosperity Hotel!" Colby chimed in after catching on. "The Prosperity Hotel?" Brentley couldn't help but shake his head slightly at Colby's words. "Yeah, Brentley, if you take us to the Prosperity Hotel for dinner today, I'll eat dirt in front of everyone!" Barrett quickly shouted. "Brentley, what do you say? Since you want to treat everyone, the Prosperity Hotel shouldn't be a problem, right?" Colby asked with a grin. "No problem, if that's where you all want to go, then let's go." Brentley nodded lightly. The students in the class were stunned upon hearing this, as they all knew the Prosperity Hotel was a five-star establishment. A meal for so many people would cost at least five or six thousand dollars. How could Brentley possibly afford that? "Has Brentley lost his mind? How can he agree to this?" Graham couldn't help but exclaim. If it were a regular restaurant, he and Tyree could scrape together the money for the meal. But the Prosperity Hotel? Even Graham and Tyree couldn't afford that! "Going to the Prosperity Hotel is fine, but I have one condition!" At this moment, Brentley suddenly spoke up. "What condition?" Colby asked, looking at Brentley. "The cost of our class dinner at the Prosperity Hotel today, how about you and I split it fifty-fifty?" Brentley knew that Colby was trying to make things difficult for him. If it had been the Brentley from a day ago, he wouldn't have dared to accept the challenge. But now, this amount of money was nothing to Brentley. He could use this opportunity to strike back. "Heh, how about we split it fifty-fifty?" Brentley suggested with a smirk. Colby sneered and nodded. "Alright, today’s class expenses will be split between us!" "Brother Colby, you're awesome!" "Great, we can go eat at the Prosperity Hotel!" The students in the class erupted into cheers upon hearing Colby's words. Eating at the Prosperity Hotel with so many people would cost at least five or six thousand dollars. Even splitting it in half would still be over two thousand dollars. Though Colby felt a pinch, he could afford it. He was convinced Brentley couldn’t. "Brentley, you just wait. When it’s time to pay, I want to see how you handle it!" Colby thought, a sinister smile forming on his face as he watched Brentley walk away. An hour later, the students arrived at the renowned five-star hotel in Sunshine City, the Prosperity Hotel. As they entered, their eyes widened in amazement. Most of them were ordinary folks who had never been to such a luxurious place. Graham and Tyree, however, followed closely behind Brentley with worried expressions. "Brentley, do you really have the money to treat everyone?" Tyree asked hesitantly, his voice low. "Don't worry. If I dared to come, it means I'm prepared," Brentley replied casually. "But..." Tyree started to speak again, concern evident in his voice. A beautiful woman in uniform approached Brentley and his group with a bright smile. The manager's eyes flickered with a hint of disdain when she saw Brentley, but she turned to Colby and bowed slightly, saying softly, "Sir, are you here for a meal?" "That's right, we're here to eat. Get us a bigger private room!" Colby shouted proudly. "Certainly, sir. Our hotel offers private rooms with a minimum spend of $2,500, VIP rooms with a minimum spend of $5,500, and supreme rooms with a minimum spend of $12,500. Which one would you prefer?" The manager inquired with a professional smile. Hearing this, Colby couldn't help but glance at Brentley and said softly, "Brentley, it's not every day we get to dine at the Prosperity Hotel. A standard room just wouldn't cut it. How about we go for a VIP room?" "Colby, that's too much! The VIP room has a minimum spend of $5,500!" Class president Felicity exclaimed, clearly displeased. Everyone present knew that Colby was deliberately making things difficult for Brentley. If Brentley agreed, he would have to spend a lot more money. But if he refused, he would lose face in front of everyone. "Class president, what are you saying? Since Brentley invited us to such a fancy hotel, he must not mind spending a bit more, right Brentley?" Colby said with a grin. "Do you think everyone is as rich as you?" Felicity retorted with a frown. "Brentley, what do you think? Why aren't you saying anything? Are you scared of the VIP room price? Hahaha!" Colby shouted loudly at Brentley. "I don't think there's any need for a VIP room," Brentley replied calmly. "Haha, alright, I get it. You're too poor to treat everyone to something nice. Let's just go with the standard room then!" Colby laughed, his main goal being to humiliate Brentley. He didn't actually want to spend more money himself. "Miss, please arrange a standard room for us," Colby turned and said to the manager. "Of course, I'll arrange that right away," the manager nodded quickly.

Admission
When Wynter heard Brentley personally admit that everything Ophelia and the others had said was true, she was stunned, her expression one of utter disbelief.Tabitha's face also looked terrible at this moment because she had no idea how to explain these things to Wynter."Well, since Brentley has already admitted to everything himself, I won't say much more. You guys can handle the rest on your own!" Ophelia smiled smugly at Brentley before turning on her heels and leaving without a second thought. She was looking forward to the drama that would unfold next. Humiliating Brentley in front of the girl he liked greatly satisfied her desire for revenge.Wynter stared at Brentley, her face filled with anger. After a few moments of hesitation, she bit her lip and said in a low voice, "Brentley, you're disgusting. If you're broke, why pretend to be a rich kid? Why can't you just stick to picking up trash?"Brentley looked up at Wynter but said nothing. He had originally planned to explain ev
Ridiculous Dinning
Brentley was just about to add Wynter on WeChat when he heard a girl's voice behind him. He froze for a moment, then quickly turned around to see who it was.To his surprise, it was none other than his ex-girlfriend, Ophelia, with Colby, Farrah, Taylor, and Chasel standing beside each other."Ophelia, what are you doing here?" Graham, noticing Ophelia, instantly sensed something was off and stepped forward, shouting loudly."Graham, what do you mean by that? This bar isn't owned by your family. If you guys can come here to have fun, why can't we?" Ophelia replied nonchalantly, pouting slightly."This bar may not be ours, but this booth is. We don't welcome you here, so please leave!" Graham knew Ophelia's sudden appearance had to have a purpose, so he wanted to get rid of her as quickly as possible."Graham, we're all classmates. Do you really have to be like this?" Colby said with a sly smile, squinting his eyes."Yeah, why are you so eager to kick us out? Are you feeling guilty abou
Obligations
Inside the Sunset Bar, Colby walked into the bar with Ophelia, Farrah, and Taylor, then casually found a sofa booth with a minimum spend of over $2,000 and sat down. "Brother Colby, doesn't that guy over there look familiar?" Chasel, who was sitting next to Colby, noticed Brentley not far away. "Isn't that Brentley? What's he doing here?" Taylor also spotted Brentley chatting with Wynter, a hint of confusion flashing in her beautiful eyes. "Haha, who would have thought that poor kid Brentley could afford to come here? And he even got a sofa booth like us. What's up with him lately? It's like he's a completely different person..." Chasel muttered, pouting. Colby overheard Chasel's comment and felt a wave of discomfort. He had brought his friends to Sunset Bar and booked a $2,000 minimum spend sofa booth, thinking it would give him some face. But seeing Brentley with a similar booth made him feel less special. Meanwhile, Ophelia squinted at Wynter, who was chatting happily with Bren

Brentley, Graham, Tyree, and Tabitha walked one after another into the Sunset Bar. Even though it was only a little past six in the evening, the bar was already buzzing with activity, and a large portion of the crowd consisted of students from Sunshire City University. Fashionably dressed young men and women swayed wildly to the beats of the music on the dance floor, releasing their youthful energy and hormones. It was Brentley's first time at this bar, and he was immediately astonished by the lively scene inside. Tabitha, noticing Brentley's wide-eyed reaction, couldn't help but show a disdainful expression. However, with Graham, Tyree, and her friends around, she held her tongue. "Tabitha, over here!" A girl with heavy makeup, wearing earrings, a sexy low-cut T-shirt, black high heels, and black stockings, waved at Tabitha from a short distance away. Despite her alluring outfit, her looks were rather average, not even as pretty as Tabitha, but her figure was exceptional. Her long
Unintentional Bias
"A trash picker? What do you mean by that?" Tabitha's roommate, Bonnie, asked in a puzzled tone after hearing her words."Nothing... nothing at all. Today's plans are canceled. Let's go back to the dorm!" Tabitha, still fuming from Graham's earlier words, pouted as she replied."What? Plans canceled?" The girl on the other end exclaimed in surprise and continued, "Tabitha, are you kidding me? Wynter and I already reserved a booth and ordered drinks. If you don't come, who's going to pay the bill?""You already ordered drinks?" Tabitha asked, stunned."Yeah, didn't you tell us to? You said a rich guy, your admirer, would be coming. You told us to order whatever we wanted and that he'd cover the bill when he arrived," Bonnie said, her tone exasperated.Tabitha had indeed said that to impress her roommates about how much Graham liked her. But she never expected Graham to get mad at her because of Brentley, ruining her plan to have him pay the bill."How much did you order?" Tabitha asked
Agitate
No one expected Tabitha to be so blunt. Her words made Graham, Tyree, and Brentley all feel extremely awkward."Tabitha, what are you saying?" Tyree shouted at her, his expression agitated."Why does it matter to you how I talk? Isn't this guy just a trash picker? Graham and I are going to the bar to meet my friends. What's wrong with not wanting to bring him along?" Tabitha retorted arrogantly, pouting."You..."Tyree was at a loss for words, unsure how to respond. After a moment of hesitation, he grabbed Brentley's arm and said quietly, "Brentley, let's go.""Yeah," Brentley agreed. He wasn't particularly interested in going to the bar in the first place, and seeing that Tabitha didn't seem to welcome him only strengthened his desire to leave."Brentley, Tyree, wait a minute!" Graham quickly reached out to stop them. After all, he had gathered everyone to introduce Brentley to a potential girlfriend. If Brentley left now, what would be the point?"What's that Tabitha just said? If s
