The zombies' small bodies and agile speed allow them to easily pass through obstacles, fully demonstrating their advantages in close combat sneak attacks.

The people in the gathering point had lost all the courage to mount anymore resistance. Faced with the tide of zombies, they could only retreat with all their might, wailing and screaming for help.

The massacre was going on, and in an instant, the three survivors were surrounded by zombies.

The youngest and strongest man among them immediately swung the iron rod in his hand, beat back a zombie, and then quickly hid behind the other two.

The other two guys who had no time to react were swarmed and knocked down by the surging zombies. They were pressed to the ground, with the zombies taking pounds of flesh out of their bodies.

"Aaaargh……" The oldest man didn't even have time to finish screaming before his neck was bitten off by the zombies. With a bloody and shrill scream, he was dragged into the dark night by the zombies.

Another survivor was still struggling frantically, waving the crude weapon in his hand to fight off the zombies, but there were too many of them. Five or six zombies attacked his neck, shoulders, hands and feet at the same time, and even his stomach was bitten.

The severe pain caused the man to let out a sharp scream. He was no longer able to resist and soon became the second person to be knocked down.

The zombies tore his arms apart, and their foul mouths bit into his wounds frantically. The loss of a large amount of blood made him wail wildly. He had no choice but to turn his eyes to Wallace behind him for help, making the most miserable pleas. “Help, help me… ah, it hurts!”

"Sorry, I can't save you!" Facing his companions' cries for help, Wallace's face became extremely distant. He indifferently shifted his gaze and looked towards the area where the zombies were most concentrated. His heart sank when he saw the scene

The entire gathering point had been completely overrun by zombies. A large number of them were rushing frantically into every passage. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before every corner of the first floor of the warehouse would be occupied by zombies. By then, there wouldn't even be a place free to step on.

"Damn it, why are there so many zombies coming out together? This is completely different from before!" Wallace was a little dumbfounded. Even with his powerful fighting ability as a deviant, he couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart and couldn't think of any strategy to fight these undead.

Just as his expression kept changing and he was thinking about whether or not to get rid of these burdens and escape alone, he caught a glimpse of a tongue of fire from the area behind a section of the warehouse, which suddenly hit the floor heavily.

After the banging sound, the mouth of the bottle filled with gasoline immediately shattered, forming a large ball of fire on the ground.

As the gasoline spread, the flames licked rapidly, igniting several zombies in an instant and forcing back a few of the zombies that were about to rush in front of the other survivors.

Who’s setting the fire? Wallace asked himself, and he subconsciously looked behind him at the place where the gasoline bottle was thrown from. Soon he saw Ryan, who he assigned to the back door, standing on a high ground and constantly throwing gasoline bottles at this side.

These bottles looked inconspicuous, but they were filled with gasoline. After being thrown repeatedly in quick succession, they drew parabolas in the air and finally fell in the area where the zombies were most concentrated, shattering wildly.

A strong smell of gasoline emanated from every exploded bottle, and when ignited by the flames, it instantly formed thick tongues of fire, completely igniting the many zombies that had squeezed their way in.

Although zombies have no sense of pain, they have a natural fear of fire. When they saw a large amount of flames burning, they began to roar angrily and actually retreated on their own initiative.

Not only did this guy guard the back door, but he even had the energy to come here to help? Wallace looked at Ryan, who was like cyborg soldier and easily forced back the zombies' attack. His face was extremely gloomy, and he thought to himself. It seems that he really has some skill.

He had deliberately sent Ryan to guard the back door in order to use the zombies coming from the back door to eliminate the guy who challenged his authority. But surprisingly, not only did he not die, but he came up with such a solution in desperation and came to the front to intervene in the battle here.

That at least showed that Ryan’s current abilities were by no means as simple as they appear on the surface.

Wallace was in a bad mood because Ryan's various actions seemed to pose a threat to his authority. But he still had that elegant smile on his face. He pushed through the survivors behind him and walked towards where Ryan threw the gasoline bottle and shouted, "Good work, Ryan. That's a brilliant idea."

Facing Wallace's verbal praise, Ryan's expression was indifferent. He shook his head and replied nonchalantly, "We need to leave now. The gasoline won't last long. Soon these zombies will come again."

Wallace knew the fire could only drive away the zombies for a short time. It would eventually burn out, and the zombies outside would inevitably take action again. "Okay, everyone, back to the second floor and guard the staircase."

At this critical juncture, Wallace no longer cared about Ryan's attitude. He quickly waved his hand and asked the survivors to follow him to the second floor.

At this time, Ryan also threw the last bottle of gasoline at the entrance of the stairs and quickly evacuated the first floor with the survivors.

Behind him, was Yasmin with a dull expression, as if she had suffered some psychological blow. She just followed the team silently without saying a word from beginning to end.

Soon, the crowd retreated collectively to the second floor, holding on to the only staircase. Looking at the zombies struggling and stepping back in the flames. Everyone's face was filled with joy of surviving a disaster.

It was not easy. In the first attack of the zombies, they suffered at least ten casualties. Although they managed to kill quite a few of the undead, the number of survivors also decreased accordingly.

There were only two-thirds of the people left, and facing nearly a hundred zombies, they were almost ready to be slaughtered. If Ryan had not rushed out in time and used gasoline and fire to drive back the tide, the number of casualties would probably have increased further.

The battle was too brutal. These ordinary survivors had no way to deal with the zombies and could only place their hopes on Wallace and Ryan. After all, one of them was a deviant and the other had just helped everyone avoid a disaster. They were the only reliable people here.

But Ryan had no time for praise. "Don't waste your energy. The fire won't stop the zombies for long. There will be a second attack soon."

Although these words were cruel, everyone knew that what Ryan said was true.

Even Wallace, who always looked down on Ryan, took the initiative to walk towards him at this time, cleared his throat and asked, "Do you have any good ideas?"

Gusts of cold wind swept across the island, instantly covering it with white snow. Buildings on the island were covered in white, and small unmanned robots were slowly moving forward against the wind and snow, pushing small buckets to clear the snow from the roads again and again. The engineers inspected the power station's power supply system and found that they had not anticipated the snowstorm from the beginning. They had preemptively buried all the power lines, running the circuits through underground pipes to minimize the impact of the snowstorm. To protect the circuits, they buried the lines more than a meter deep, which was safe enough."I really dislike this damn snowstorm. It's been blowing for a week straight, and we haven't seen any results yet." The engineer looked out the window at the scenery that was now completely covered in snow, making them feel nauseous. They could still see completed buildings in the snow, but none of them were currently inhabited."I'm still a li

"Darling, it's snowing." Ye Lingxi woke up early in the morning and saw Ryan standing on the balcony, watching the snow fall on her lover. Ye Lingxi gently took a coat and came to her lover's side. She saw that her lover was wearing a thin nightgown and staring blankly at the snow scene, seemingly lost in thought. Ye Lingxi gently draped the coat over Ryan's shoulders. "Honey, why did you come out? It's chilly outside, come back inside quickly." Jiang Zi felt her lover's movements and turned around to see Ye Lingxi shivering from the cold. She then realized that Ye Lingxi had also run out in her pajamas. Startled, Jiang Zi hugged her lover and rushed into the room. "Hehe, darling." When Ye Lingxi saw her lover, Ryan, hurriedly hugging her and crawling into the quilt to warm her up, Ye Lingxi suddenly kissed Ryan. Ryan was stunned, which made Ye Lingxi laugh out loud, and she didn't forget to pinch Ryan's nose with her finger. Ye Lingxi and Ryan played around on the bed for a while

On the construction site, giant robotic arms were used to smash down dilapidated buildings one after another. Bulldozers pushed various building debris into a huge sea pit. A dozen huge flattening sledgehammers fell heavily from the sky, smashing onto the building debris in the sea pit. Each heavy fall raised a large cloud of dust. The tracks rolled over the ground, making a cracking sound. One giant flattener after another flattened round after round of marine construction waste. Workers waved their batons to direct the engineering vehicles working in the pit. At the same time, not far away, brand new buildings rose from the ground. To meet the requirement of building enough buildings in the shortest possible time, there were already more than 60,000 workers on the construction site. Building enough residential houses in a short period of time was a highly challenging task. A large number of technicians and management team leaders with blueprints were anxious to catch up with the t

In order to determine the location of the mutated beasts, the Sky Dome UAV dropped more than a dozen micro-drones. The micro-drones conducted low-altitude reconnaissance, but the results were not as expected. The micro-reconnaissance drones did not find any mutated beasts. The Sky Dome drone crew was skeptical that the mutated beasts had disappeared again. A special Sky Dome drone, with several reconnaissance pods mounted on its wings, each with its own exclusive reconnaissance mode, conducted reconnaissance of the ground again and again. Even with the combined reconnaissance of multiple modes, they could not see a

  • 735. In The Heat of Battle

One after another, large self-propelled tracked engineering vehicles slowly moved forward in the factory. When the technical engineers saw the huge engineering vehicles in front of them, they could hardly believe that Haidong Island had produced so many heavy engineering vehicles in just a few days. The super-heavy crane in front of them could lift more than 3,000 tons of weight, which was a small monster among machines."Be careful, a little to the right, yes! Keep going, forward." A flatbed transport ship with a displacement of more than 4,000 tons was docked in the port. If it weren't for the convenience of landing, they could have chosen a transport ship with a larger displacement, but then the ship would not be able to dock because the hull would be too deep and it would hit the bottom.Tracked engineering vehicles slowly drove onto the flatbed transport ship. In order to transport enough engineering vehicles at once and make the most of the space in the flatbed ship's hold, the

One large military transport plane after another flew over the airport. Even the passenger planes that used to fly there were nowhere to be seen. The guides in the air traffic control tower began to guide the transport planes to land slowly on the airport runway. The transport plane lowered its wheels, making a huge friction sound the moment it touched the runway. Thanks to the pilot's superb skills, the large transport plane was brought under control. The pilots breathed a sigh of relief. The runway at Haidong Island Airport has a maximum runway length of only about 4,000 meters. If the landing had failed, they would not have had a chance to go around the plane. "Aircraft 2086, please proceed to landing position number six immediately according to the guidance lights." The pilot of the large transport aircraft 2086 looked at the guidance lights on the runway and slowly drove toward landing position number six. As transport aircraft 2086 was withdrawing from the runway, another
