Everyone was stunned and wowed by the ingenious strategy, of Damon. No one saw it coming, as many thought he would just buy drinks like Ernie did in a bid to show off.

Aria was impressed as well, and it gave her a little hope that they would win this bet after seeing how resourceful Damon was. Xavier realized their account was down by another $100k, which actually went to Damon. Their total spent was now at $300k; they had $1.2 million left.

Xavier, now fully confident, clapped Ernie on the shoulder. “Alright, Ernie! Let’s show him how it’s done!” He turned to the club manager, who was still hovering nearby, his eyes wide with anticipation. “Manager! We want to book the entire club for the rest of the night. How much?”

The manager’s eyes lit up. “For the entire night, sir? That would be… five hundred thousand dollars.”

“Done!” Xavier declared, pulling out his phone. “Transferring $500,000 now, and once it clears, I want Damon Newton and his… entourage… out of my club. Unless he’s willing to rent it from me, say, $100,000 for every twenty minutes he spends here.”

A collective cheer erupted from the crowd. This was brilliant. Not only would it put them ahead, but they could recover their money within an hour while simultaneously exhausting Damon’s funds. It was a clever play, one that outsmarted the play Damon had made earlier.

Damon, his smile unwavering, raised a hand. “I’ll bid $600,000,” he announced, his voice clear and strong.

Ernie scoffed. “$700,000!”

Damon didn’t hesitate. “$800,000!”

Xavier’s eyes narrowed. He looked at Ernie. Their combined funds, even with the girls’  and their friends' contribution, were dwindling. They had $1.2 million, and they’d just spent $500k. They had $700k left.

“One million!” Xavier declared, his voice strained, a desperate edge to it. This left them with only $200,000. All they had to do was win this bid, and it would all come back, plus they'd get to win the bet.

The atmosphere in the club was thick with tension. Everyone held their breath, secretly praying Damon would drop out. Xavier and Ernie, despite their outward bravado, were silently begging for him to stop.

Meanwhile, Damon couldn’t even bid more because he had nothing more to spend. He had already exhausted the funds the system gave to him and yet, he hadn’t accomplished the aim.

He knew there would be consequences for failing the task the system gave him, especially since he had already spent all the money given to him so he could do the very deed. With that, he decided to end it all and announced.

“I’m not bidding on your club, Xavier,” Damon said, his voice echoing through the suddenly silent club. “I’m buying it, the entire property, and I’m banning you, Ernie, Jane, Beatrice, Chloe, Daphne, and all your friends from ever setting foot in it again.”

A collective gasp spread across the room. Buying the club? This was a blow they couldn’t possibly compete with. The sheer audacity of it left everyone speechless. How rich was Damon? Was it a bluff? But no one wanted to risk finding out.

Aria’s former friends, who had been watching in stunned silence from Jane’s table, suddenly sprang into action. Beatrice rushed towards the manager, her face pale. “Don’t you dare sell this club to him!” she shrieked.

“If you do, my parents, and all our parents, will make your life a living hell. But if you work with us, we’ll persuade them to invest heavily in this club.”

The manager, caught between a rock and a hard place, visibly trembled. His eyes darted between Damon and the powerful, influential students; he couldn’t afford to ruin his life. “Sir,” he stammered, turning to Damon, “even if… even if I believed you could buy this property, which I don’t… I… I can’t sell it to you.”

Damon pulled out his phone, a slow, dangerous smile spreading across his face. He quickly did some research. The club was largely funded by Yorkers City Bank, which also happened to be the primary financier for most of the businesses owned by the parents of his schoolmates, including Xavier’s and Ernie’s.

“System,” Damon thought, his voice firm, “I’m ready to cash my reward ticket. I want to own the majority stake in Yorkers City Bank.”

“Excellent choice, Host,” the System applauded in his mind. “Transaction complete. You now own 79% of Yorkers City Bank.”

Immediately, Damon’s phone buzzed, then vibrated incessantly. A flurry of emails flooded his inbox, all addressing him as the new majority owner of Yorkers City Bank.

Damon looked up, his gaze sweeping over the stunned faces of Xavier, Ernie, Jane, and the former friends. “I just bought Yorkers City Bank,” he announced, his voice calm, almost conversational. “And as the majority owner, I can bankrupt this club. I can bankrupt Xavier’s parents. And I can bankrupt Ernie’s parents, too.”

Everyone stared, disbelief etched on their faces. They doubted him; they had to. What did he mean when he said he had brought a majority share in Yorkers City Bank? It was impossible.

But then, the large flat-screen TV above the bar, which had been showing a music video, suddenly cut to a news flash. A breaking news banner scrolled across the bottom: “Breaking: Unknown Business Tycoon, Damon Newton, Acquires 79% Majority Stake in Yorkers City Bank in Shock Move.”

The news anchors, their voices filled with surprise, began reporting on the sudden, unprecedented acquisition. Phones buzzed as everyone frantically went online. The news was everywhere. Major financial news outlets were already reporting on the mysterious Damon Newton.

They were all left in shock, their mouths agape. How had Damon done it? It was impossible, yet undeniable.

The club manager, his face ashen, slowly dropped to his knees before Damon, bowing his head. “Mr. Newton!” he stammered, his voice trembling. “My deepest apologies, sir! I… I made the wrong choice. Please, forgive me! I’m willing to do anything.”

Damon looked down at him, his expression unreadable. “You’re willing to do anything?”

“Yes, sir! Anything!”

“Good,” Damon said, his voice cold and commanding. “First, ban everyone who stood against me tonight from this club. Permanently.” He gestured to Xavier, Ernie, Jane, Beatrice, Chloe, and Daphne.

“And second,” he continued, his gaze fixing on Ernie, “you will ensure that Ernie Cooper and his friends fulfill the details of their bet. From this moment forward, they are Aria Golden’s school pets.”

The thumping bass of Club Moon faded to a distant hum in Damon’s mind as a translucent blue screen shimmered into existence before his eyes. It was like looking through a high-tech window into another dimension, visible only to him.“System,” Damon murmured, his voice barely a whisper, “show me what features are available.”The screen shifted, displaying a grid of icons. Nine of them, neatly arranged. Eight were grayed out, locked and only one glowed with a faint, inviting light.“What are these?” Damon asked, pointing a mental finger at the locked features. “And why are they locked?”“These are your abilities, Host,” the System’s voice resonated directly in his mind, calm and clear. “They are grouped by pages. This is page one. To unlock a feature, you must complete specific challenges or meet certain criteria. Once all features on a page are unlocked, the next page becomes accessible.”“And the next page?” Damon pressed, a flicker of impatience. “Can I see it?”“Negative, host. Prog

Xavier and Ernie stood side by side, with shared smiles and their eyes gazing out at Damon’s VIP lounge. They were enjoying themselves, as they were sure their plan was going to work. From within their circle, they see the small change in Aria’s friends’ looks. Beatrice, Chloe, and Daphne suddenly had an anxious pout, and their earlier self-confidence was replaced by nervousness. Even Aria, who looked so relaxed, deep down could not think straight and wondered if she was weighing her options correctly. She wondered if she had made a mistake, staying or even coming to this party in the first place.By this, Ernie felt a surge of pride taking over his body as he gripped his hands around his drink he had gotten at the bar. He shouted through the constant thumping of the music, his voice as clear as ever. “Hey Newton, why don’t we spice things up, a bit more?”A ripple spread through the audience. They had all been watching, waiting for the next part of this drama to happen. People stopp

The revelation hung in the air, heavy and undeniable. Aria Golden, the untouchable goddess, had just confirmed it: Damon, the pauper, was not only her boyfriend, but he had bought her the $100,000 Fendi bag. No one in the room, not even the most skeptical, could doubt her words. Aria Golden doesn’t lie; she didn’t need to.Damon, a faint and triumphant smile playing on his lips, extended a hand towards Aria. “Come on, babe,” he said, his voice soft, yet carrying clearly in the stunned silence. “Let’s head to the VIP lounge.”Aria returned his smile, her eyes sparkling with amusement and something akin to admiration. She took his hand, and together, with her friends right behind her.As Damon and his new girlfriend settled into a plush, dimly lit VIP lounge, Damon’s eyes swept over the still-stunned crowd. His gaze landed on Ernie, who was attempting to subtly blend into a group of bewildered onlookers near the bar.“Ernie!” Damon’s voice cut through the lingering silence, sharp and cl

Jane, her eyes wide with a mixture of awe and desperate excitement, practically launched herself at Aria. “Aria! Oh my god, Aria!” She shrieked, her voice high and breathless.Jane’s mind had completely wiped out the earlier conversation with Damon. All that mattered was that Aria Golden was actually here, at her birthday party. She bowed again dramatically, a deep, reverent curtsy that made her sequined dress shimmer. No one judged her, as everyone in the room knew they’d probably do the same if Aria graced their presence.Aria, however, looked at Jane with a polite, almost blank expression. She didn’t know Jane beyond the fact that this was her birthday party. She wouldn't have been here if not for the crazy bet with Damon.“I sent you a DM, Aria!” Jane gushed, straightening up, her face flushed with pride. “I hoped you’d see it and I guess you did. Oh, this is just… amazing.”Ernie Cooper, who had been sweating bullets ever since Aria walked in, saw his chance. He leaned into a gro

The murmurs about Aria Golden’s name rippled through Club Moon, growing louder, more insistent. Xavier, his face a mask of disbelief, stepped closer to Damon, his voice a low, dangerous growl. “Are you out of your mind, Damon?” Xavier spat, his eyes narrowed. “Or are you just completely ignorant of who’s who in this school? Do you honestly not know that Aria Golden is the most beautiful, the most respected, and the most adored lady in the entire university?” He let out a harsh, disbelieving laugh. “Or are you claiming to be her boyfriend now too, just like you claimed with Jane? You’re delusional, Damon. Utterly delusional!”A wave of laughter, sharp and mocking, swept through the crowd. Jane, her face still flushed with anger, chimed in.“He’s completely lost it, Xavier!” Jane cried, shaking her head. “To even imagine himself with Aria? Aria isn’t just a queen, Damon. She’s a goddess, and all of us, every single lady on this campus, we worship her as her die-hard fans!”As if on cu
