Chris was still asleep when the system beeped. He yawned and stretched.

"Omo, allow me sleep na!" he spoke softly, his eyes sliding open.

[Notice: Chris You Dey Fear?]

"Taaa! Fear wetin?" he exclaimed, planting his feet on the ground. "I go show you why I be Naija boy today."

Chris completed his exercises, his body hot and drenched in sweat. Exhausted, he crumpled to the floor.

Chris clenched his fists until his knuckles whitened. *It's not going to be easy,* he thought. *But man must become strong. No matter what.*

He cleaned up and properly dressed in his robe. After chugging two cups of water, he marched towards the door.

He knelt beside the stone slab.

"Father, if you fit hear me — watch over me today in Jesus Name, Amen."

"Alright, system. I don ready," he said. He tugged the wooden door open, and a cool morning breeze brushed against his damp skin.

He ventured out into the mountain. Both suns burned high, already warming the air.

Deep into the mountains he marched, his eyes scanning everything with every step. His movements were silent like a shadow. He heard almost every sound while roaming.

Chris walked through the thick forest until he reached the northern side of the mountain.

"Today person come out to hunt, beast come dey hide," Chris whispered.

He spotted an open field up ahead and sprinted towards it.

"Arghh!"

As he sprinted, a low, thunderous grumble—deep and powerful—echoed around him.

Chris flinched, stumbling to a stop.

"I never hear that kin sound before, e no matter sha." He steeled himself. *Whatever I encounter, I will kill it.*

He pressed on, following the sound until he left the forest.

"Shit!" His eyes widened. He quickly hid behind a nearby boulder. *Wetin be that thing?*

[Grey Wolf]

[Realm: Qi Condensation Late Stage]

[Special Skill: Blood Claw]

The grey wolf was the size of a large truck. It lay still on the ground.

*How can I kill this thing now? Can my fists be enough?* Chris muttered, surveying the rocky field and the sleeping beast.

[Chris You Dey Fear?]

"No, system. I was only thinking of a way to kill the beast," Chris replied as he stepped out of the boulder's shadow. He took deep breaths.

"Oya oh! Time to prove once again why I be Naija boy."

He bolted forward, the air exploding around him. "Hwfa, pussy cat?" Chris yelled.

The wolf's eyes snapped open, its gaze meeting Chris head-on. It towered over him, its massive body blocking the sun.

"Huuuuu." The earth quaked.

Chris halted, sweat dripping down his chin as he looked up. He grinned, adrenaline surging through him. *This kind of quest is terrible, but I like am.* His fingers dug into his palms until the knuckles showed white.

[Undying Courage Activated]

[Rhythmic Combat Intuition Engaged]

The field stood in silence as man and beast stared each other down, each waiting for the other to make the first move.

"Boom!"

The air exploded like a thunderclap as the Naija youth dashed forward at the wolf.

"Arghhhh!"

The wolf roared and charged, its massive prints marking the muddy ground.

Both forces met at the center. The wolf's mouth widened, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth hungry for blood.

Chris leaped backwards instantly.

"Omo, e no go easy oh!" he sighed, covering his nose with his sleeve. "Why you dey smell like expired sardine?"

The wolf came at him relentlessly, attack after powerful attack. Chris evaded each one with precision and control.

Suddenly, the air grew thick as a gravity-like force slammed into him. He dropped to one knee, blood spilling from his nose.

*Where this attack come from?* Chris whispered.

Cracks spread across the earth like spiderwebs.

The wolf swung its tail directly at his guts. He tried to duck, but it was too late.

The next second, he was flying through the air.

"Boom!"

He crashed into the earth. The world tilted. Sound warped and his vision blurred as he struggled to his feet. Breathing hard, he fell back to one knee.

"See animal wey we dey chop like ant for Africa anyhow, dey here dey beat me like small pikin."

Chris lifted his eyes. The wolf's energy was surging through its body. He grunted, forcing himself back to his feet with clenched jaws.

The wolf charged again, the ground trembling beneath it.

Chris stood motionless, his heartbeat slowing as his mouth began to move. Not talking—humming.

The wolf's huge, sharp claws descended from above. The Naija youth danced through the attack but still sustained a deep injury to his back. The earth where the claw smashed shattered open. Huge chunks of rock and dust rose into the air.

The wolf jumped backwards, eyes blazing red, saliva dripping from its mouth.

Chris laughed. "You don tire, my guy?"

The wolf's movements began to lag. Suddenly, clouds gathered and its energy detonated. It unleashed a three-way crimson slash attack that tore through the air.

The earth fractured.

The Naija youth stood unfazed.

"Time to test this my heritage," Chris said. He stretched his hand forward, powerful Qi engulfing his palm.

"Naija Heritage: Shield Of Shege!" he screamed.

A giant hand materialized, its energy unlike anything of this world.

"BOOM!"

The ground around them shattered. Huge chunks of earth flew into the air. Dust and sand filled the sky as nearby trees were split in halves.

"Naija Heritage: Pressure Of Tinubu!" Chris screamed again.

The clouds parted as a giant brown sword appeared. Its overwhelming pressure pinned the wolf down before slicing its body cleanly into two halves.

"THUD!"

The two halves hit the ground.

"Hmmm," Chris licked the blood spilling from his mouth.

He groaned as he stood up.

"Void Storage!" he whispered. He stored the wolf's body.

"Onto the next prey," he muttered, legs already marching forward.

He returned to the cave as the two suns were setting. He sealed the door, shut it tight, and powered up his insect lamp.

"E no easy, at all." He eased onto the stone slab.
