Jian Chen was destined to die—a minor villain sacrificed for a hero’s growth. But as the executioner’s blade descends, the script of reality shatters. Armed with the forbidden "Destiny Usurper System," Jian Chen refuses to be a footnote in someone else's legend. He doesn’t seek redemption; he seeks absolute dominion through theft. From plucking "Protagonist Luck" from the world's favorites to turning ancient legacies into his personal playground, he is systematically bleeding the universe's original savior dry. To Jian Chen, destiny is not a path—it is a resource to be harvested until the chosen ones are left bankrupt and forsaken. The architects of fate have finally noticed the anomaly in their masterpiece. As the stars align to erase the man who stole their miracles, Jian Chen stands at the summit of a darkening world order. But when the Heavens themselves come to collect his debt, can a throne built on stolen fate survive the wrath of its true creator?

Chapter 1 Sentenced to Hell

The first thing Garou felt wasn't light. It was the sharp, metallic tang of blood pooling in his mouth and the soul-crushing weight of a knee pressed firmly into his spine. His face was slammed against the cold, cobblestone floor of a courtyard he didn't recognize, and his ribs felt like they had been put through a hydraulic press.

"Look at me when I'm sentencing you to hell, you pathetic piece of trash!" a voice roared, vibrating with pure, unadulterated hatred.

"I... I can't... move..." Garou wheezed. The words didn't sound like his own. They were higher, more arrogant even in their desperation. "What the hell is going on? Where am I?"

"Still playing the fool, Jian Chen?" another voice sneered from the crowd. "You drugged the Inner Disciple, attempted to steal the Moonlight Elixir, and nearly killed the Sect Master’s own niece. Do you really think your family name can shield you now?"

Jian Chen? The name hit him like a lightning bolt. A tidal wave of alien memories crashed through his brain, forcing his eyes to roll back. He saw faces he didn’t know but hated. He felt the phantom touch of expensive silks and the sickening thrill of abusing servants. He was in the body of a man named Jian Chen—a notorious scumbag, a parasitic Young Master of the Azure Cloud Sect. And more importantly, he was a character in a web novel he’d finished reading just hours before his own death on Earth.

"Wait," Garou—now Jian Chen—muttered into the dirt. "Jian Chen? The one who gets his limbs hacked off in chapter five? The guy who’s just a stepping stone for the 'Son of Heaven'?"

"Keep muttering your nonsense!" The weight on his back intensified. It was a man in blue robes—Elder Su. "Today, your cultivation will be shattered. Your name will be erased. And the world will finally be rid of a cancer."

[Alert: Synchronization complete. Consciousness stability: 98%.]

A cold, digital chime echoed directly in his skull, louder and more absolute than the screaming crowd surrounding him.

[Destiny Usurper System initialized. Scanning current Host status...]

What? A system? Now?

"Are you listening to me, you waste of skin?" Elder Su barked, grabbing a handful of Jian Chen’s hair and yanking his head back. "Before I shatter your Dantian, I want to hear you beg. Beg like the street rat you've become."

"Beg?" Jian Chen spit a glob of blood onto the Elder’s pristine white boots. He didn't know where the courage came from, but seeing his death approaching triggered a survival instinct he never knew he possessed. "I wouldn't beg for water if I were on fire in the middle of a desert, old man."

"How dare you!" Elder Su’s face turned a violent shade of purple. "Even at death's door, your arrogance is limitless!"

[Warning: Host's life-thread is dangerously frayed. Destiny point: Terminal.]

[Host: Jian Chen (Garou)]

[Role: Minor Antagonist / Cannon Fodder]

[Current Fate: Execution within 180 seconds.]

"Eighteen- what? Stop talking and help me!" Jian Chen screamed internally.

[System Logic: You are currently a villain destined to die for the protagonist’s rise. To survive, you must strip the favorites of the heavens of their blessings. Will you accept the Path of the Usurper?]

"Yes! Hell yes! Just get this bastard's knee off my back!"

[Integration confirmed. Granting Temporary Power-Surge: "Sinner’s Remnant."]

Suddenly, a freezing chill replaced the fire in his veins. Jian Chen felt a strange, dark energy coil at the base of his spine. It wasn't the pure, golden Qi he read about in novels; it was something jagged, heavy, and ravenous. He felt the grip of the guards on his arms weaken, and the air around him grew heavy.

"Hey, Elder Su," Jian Chen whispered, his voice dripping with a new, dangerous edge. "Did you really think the ' Moonlight Elixir' was the only thing I took from your study?"

Elder Su paused, his hand hovering over Jian Chen’s belly. "What? What are you talking about?"

"The scroll," Jian Chen lied through his teeth, gambling on the character traits of Elder Su he remembered from the book—a greedy, paranoid old fool. "The one with the 'Broken Star' seal. I didn't drug the girl for fun. I drugged her because she walked in while I was copying it."

The Elder’s eyes went wide. His grip on Jian Chen’s hair loosened. "You... you couldn't have. That’s in the forbidden archive!"

"Then check your pocket, old man. Or maybe the space ring hidden in your inner sleeve," Jian Chen hissed. He didn't have the scroll, but he knew from the novel that Elder Su was a traitor who actually possessed forbidden techniques he hadn't shared with the sect. He was bluffing, but a cornered rat has no choice.

"Silence!" Elder Su roared, but there was a flicker of genuine fear in his voice now. He looked at the surrounding disciples. "Take him to the inner dungeon! The execution is delayed! We need to... interrogate him more thoroughly."

"You heard him!" a guard shouted. "Pick him up!"

Jian Chen was hauled to his feet, his knees buckling, but a manic grin began to form on his bloodied face. He had bought time. Three minutes had just become a few hours.

"Wait," a sharp voice cut through the air. "Uncle, you cannot delay this. He is a monster."

A young woman stepped forward. She was beautiful, but her eyes were cold, reflecting the sunlight off the long sword at her hip. Liu Ning—the Sect Master's niece. The very one the 'original' Jian Chen had supposedly attacked.

"He didn't attack you, did he, Ning'er?" Jian Chen said, his eyes narrowing. "Tell them what you were really doing in that garden. Tell them why your dress was stained with the 'Demon-Slaying Incense' that only your secret lover possesses."

"Shut up!" she screamed, her face pale. "I'll kill you myself!"

"You'll try," Jian Chen taunted. "But then you'll never find the recording jade I stashed in the lotus pond. Imagine what your 'Son of Heaven' suitor will think when he sees his goddess groveling for forbidden herbs."

The courtyard went silent. This wasn't the Jian Chen they knew. The Jian Chen they knew would be crying and pissing his pants by now. This man was different. He looked like he was having a great time at his own funeral.

[Protagonist Halo Detected: Nearby. Lin Fan is approaching. Chance of interception: 100%.]

[Mission: Usurp the 'First Miracle'. Strip the protagonist’s luck before he arrives.]

[Opportunity: Elder Su is hiding the 'Void-Stealing Script' in his left sleeve. Take it.]

"Host, I'm just a guy who wakes up in a bad mood," Jian Chen muttered under his breath. "But for this? I can be the worst nightmare these people have ever seen."

"Move, scum!" The guard shoved him forward, leading him toward the dungeon stairs.

As they walked past Elder Su, Jian Chen leaned in, the dark energy of the "Sinner’s Remnant" boosting his dexterity. In a split second, a blur of motion too fast for the average disciple to see, his fingers dipped into the Elder’s loose robes. He felt the cold texture of a jade slip. He didn't pull it out; he let the System absorb it directly into its internal storage.

[Scan Complete: 'Void-Stealing Script' acquired.]

[Target: Elder Su (Minor Cliché Pawn).]

[Status: Destiny Drained. Elder Su's survival probability dropped by 40%.]

Jian Chen laughed. It was a harsh, rattling sound that made the guards shiver. He could feel it—the shift in reality. The script of the world was changing. The lines meant for him were being crossed out, replaced by his own ink. The "Fate" everyone talked about in this world was nothing more than a bank account, and he had just learned the password.

"You think this is funny?" the guard hissed, hitting him with the butt of a spear. "You're going to rot in the Dark Abyss."

"The abyss is just a hole," Jian Chen replied, blood leaking from his nose as he smiled. "But do you know what the best part about being at the bottom of a hole is? There's nowhere left to go but up. And I’m going to climb over all your corpses to get there."

As they reached the heavy, reinforced iron gates of the dungeon, the atmosphere suddenly changed. A blinding light descended from the heavens, and the sound of a thousand cranes chirping echoed in the distance. The disciples bowed their heads instinctively. The crowd whispered the name like a prayer.

"Lin Fan! Brother Lin Fan is back from his mission!"

"The Son of Heaven... the savior of our sect!"

Jian Chen stopped at the threshold of his cell. He looked back through the narrow bars of the gate. A youth in gold and white robes was landing on a sword made of pure spiritual energy. He looked perfect. He looked untouchable. He looked like the universe's favorite child.

[Target: Lin Fan (Protagonist - Level: Universal Core).]

[Halo Intensity: Extreme. You currently have a 0.0001% chance of winning in a fair fight.]

"Who said anything about playing fair?" Jian Chen whispered. "I've already got his teacher's most precious secret in my pocket. Let's see how much light he has when I finish dousing all his candles."

"What was that?" the guard yelled, throwing Jian Chen into the dark, damp cell.

Jian Chen landed hard, the straw on the floor doing nothing to cushion the impact. He heard the lock click into place. The footsteps faded away, leaving him in absolute silence, save for the hum of the system in his brain.

"System," he said, his voice flat. "Show me the path. Tell me who I need to break first to get out of this cage."

[Generating First Strategic Move... Analyzing Sect Hierarchies... Done.]

[The Protagonist’s path begins with a meeting between Lin Fan and Elder Su tonight. Lin Fan is meant to receive a mysterious token that opens the Southern Heavens. If you steal that meeting, you steal his future.]

"A token, huh?" Jian Chen leaned his head against the stone wall, a shadow stretching over his eyes. "And I'm assuming that to do that, I have to become something far worse than the 'Jian Chen' they remember."

[Indeed, Host. To survive destiny, you must consume it. To kill a hero, you must become a disaster.]

Jian Chen closed his eyes, visualizing the face of the perfect Lin Fan standing in the sun while he rotted in the dirt. A cold, hollow feeling expanded in his chest. It wasn't sadness. It was the thrill of the hunt. The original Garou back on Earth was a loser, a man who worked himself to death for others. Not anymore. Not in this life.

Jian Chen opened his eyes, and they weren't the eyes of a weak young master anymore. They were dark, cold, and calculating. He stood up slowly, ignored the snapping of his bones, and gripped the rusted iron bars of his cell.

"Hey, guard!" Jian Chen shouted, his voice echoing through the hollow stone corridors of the dungeon. "Come here for a second! I've got a secret that's going to make you richer than the Sect Master himself!"

"Shut up, you dog!" a voice replied from the distance, followed by the clinking of keys. "Wait... did you say rich?"

Jian Chen licked his lips. "Rich enough to buy your way into the Inner Court without taking an exam. Come here, closer. I don't want the ghosts listening."

The footsteps returned, faster this time. The greedy fool was walking right into the web. Jian Chen could feel the "Sinner’s Remnant" energy tingling in his palms. The first piece of the game was coming, and he wasn't going to let a single drop of blood go to waste.

"If you’re lying to me, Jian Chen, I’ll pull your tongue out with pliers," the guard said, leaning his face right up against the bars.

"Trust me," Jian Chen whispered, his hand shooting out through the gap in the bars like a striking viper, his fingers crushing the guard’s throat with supernatural force. "I'm a man of my word... and I promise, you won't feel a thing after the first minute."

As the guard’s eyes went wide and he struggled for air, the System chimed one last time for the day.

[Protagonist Minor Resource 'Gullible Guard' hijacked. Fate Shift in progress. Warning: Lin Fan feels a disturbance in the flow of destiny. He is looking for you.]

Jian Chen snapped the guard’s neck with a dry 'crack' and began fishing for the keys. He looked up at the ceiling, sensing the heavy presence of the Son of Heaven high above him.

"Let him look," Jian Chen smiled, the iron keys finally in his hand. "Let him see what happens when the sacrificial pawn decides it’s the King’s turn to die."

“Do you think I’m kidding, kid?” Jian Chen whispered into the darkness. “By tomorrow, this entire mountain will belong to a monster.”
