I want to leave this body, Terry thought. I want to just float out the same way I came in. And that's what he did, detached himself like a wet Band-Aid, flopping to the ground beside a suddenly exhausted Jimmy.
Jimmy's lungs were pumped to bursting, and his legs shook like reeds, "Oh! You have not only broken my mother's favorite chair, but now you have made me break our television. What have you gotten me into, Terry?"
"It's okay, Jimmy," Terry mumbled to pacify his near-to-tears friend.
"You know, for a second there..." Jimmy puffed. "For a second there, I was scared and thought I was dying."
"It's kinda eerie to me as well."
"So, why are you back, Terry?"
"You won't believe it?"
"Try me."
"I'm back to capture some earthbound demons and then send them back to Ghoul."
Jimmy snorted. He had believed Terry came to haunt those who killed him, and anything besides that wasn't welcome in his ear.
"What about Bobby and his gang of hyenas?"
"Well," Terry said. "I may pay them a visit since I'm here."
Jimmy smiled broadly. Nothing made him happier than hearing Bobby and Co will be punished for their crime.
"And about the demons, how did you plan to do that?"
"I have no idea," Terry answered back, "I was expecting a kind of hologram to help me with that."
Jimmy blinked and inhaled deeply. Is it possible for his mind to have conjured up this whole scenario? A sort of prolonged hallucination. Quite doubtful.
"Can we pay Bobby a visit while I wait for my hologram?"
A smile appeared on Jimmy's face. "Terrific. What's the plan?"
"I will think of something along the way. Did you have any idea where he may be?"
"School just resumed today, so I believe he will still be at home," Jimmy answered back and then pulled himself from the floor. "I suck in these old clothes. Spare me a minute, Terry."
"Sure, buddy."
Jimmy was out of sight instantly, and Terry was seen trying to familiarize himself with his new abilities. It was strange to him also. All those body snatching and unbelievable power that surges through him. So, whether or not he made contact with something was apparently up to him. A mental sort of thing. Very Kung Fu. If you wish it, it shall be. He likes it.
Terry also discovered that everything had a bit of life in it. Even the old armchair had a few memories floating around inside its timber and foam. Most of them involved various bottoms and the functions thereof. Terry instantly decided against occupying any furniture in the future.
Out of something to do while he waited for Jimmy, Terry pilfered a chocolate mousse from the fridge and scooped it out with his fingers. Disgusting, certainly, but delicious.
And that was fine, just as long as he was concentrating on the mousse. The second he stopped thinking about it, the sloppy goo began to float out through the walls of his stomach. Once they'd cleared his aura, gravity took hold and the dessert splatted onto the floor.
Terry grimaced. Look like he'd never be hungry again. But he'd never be stuffed either.
Jimmy inched down the stairs, eyes squinted for focus.
"Hello, ghost. Are you still there?"
Terry sat up on the sofa. " Why did you want to kill yourself?"
Jimmy froze, one foot halfway between steps. "Who told you that?"
"The sofa," Terry said simply.
Jimmy scanned his face for sarcasm but found none. Why should there be? Anything was possible. He stepped heavily to the foot of the stairs, lowering himself, grimacing into his easy chair. Terry could almost hear his bone cracking.
"I testify against Bobby and Co. And since then, they have made my life a misery. So, I decided to put an end to it tonight."
Bobby Shit had solved the broken remote problem. Not that the television's remote control was broken, but it might as well be for all the chance there was of Bobby dipping into his cigarette money for new batteries.
Anyway, he'd solved the remote problem. The problem is: what do you do when your remote's broken and you want to change channels?
You could get up out of the armchair. But that was a bit extreme. Bad enough that you had to raise yourself for food and bathroom breaks, without exerting yourself every time the advertisement came on.
You could befriend some local kid and get them to lie in front of the television. But the problem there is that kids nowadays are notoriously unreliable, and their parents had an annoying habit of wanting them back just when Bobby needed channel change the most.
Bobby reluctantly decided that it was up to him.
He would have to rise above his distaste for mental exercise and devise a plan. Something ingenious to dazzle his critics.
His first thought was to use his toes, but they were pudgy and inaccurate. Besides, the sweat caused the buttons to stuck.
The second idea was a masterpiece of simplicity. Bobby dragged the armchair over to the television. Close to perfect except for a few bugs. Placing the screen in front of him meant that he still had to lean forward to manipulate the now slightly sticky buttons, placing it to the side caused a shift in his viewing position and a resultant pain in the neck muscles. Such a conundrum. Was he to be denied his only pleasure?
At last, with a craftiness born of twenty years of lying around, Bobby hit upon the solution. He lumbered up to the bedroom and wrenched the wardrobe's door from its hinges. He then propped the mirror side before the chair and angled it slightly to reflect the television screen at his side. Ingenious.
Now, the speakers were playing directly into his ears, and the convex nature of the mirror meant that for all intent and purposes, he now had a thirty-two-inch screen. Oh! Beautiful. Now, if only he had a bottle of gin...
Blue and Shrek hovered across the room to Bobby, who was blissfully unaware of all this supernatural intrusion.
"All we need to do is possess him and then siphon off some of his life force," Blue informed his comrade. " I am sure you still remember where it is. A bright orange button just below the eyeballs."
"Sure... sure. I still remember. Right. So let's do it," Shrek paused. "One more thing. I want him to see me."
"Whatever for?"
Shrek raised his hairy hands. "Because what's the point of being a demon if I can't scare anybody?"
Blue nodded. He understood perfectly. He was, after all, a demon like Shrek.

ORACLE DEMAND
"Druid had possessed Tulip and he was on his way towards Shrek," Ale informed Kaul when he caught sight of him at the gate leading into the church. "Why will Druid be looking for Shrek?" Kaul asked."To kill him of course. We are both aware of the ancient feud between the two demons."Kaul nodded his head, Ale was right. Druid can only search for Shrek for only one reason. "This must not happen. Shrek is very important to my plan and must not be harmed."Tulip was aware of this. As much as he dislikes Shrek, his importance to Kaul's plan is the reason why he hasn't ordered his execution."I want you to lead some demons in pursuit of Druid. Protect Shrek and bring him down here, arrest Druid, and exterminate him if he resists your arrest. ""It will be done, Ale-san."Ale floated out of Kaul's presence with a satisfied grin. At last, he will be getting rid of Druid. Even though Kaul was unaware of Ale's expression, he stared at his second in command as he floated out of sight, shru
A PLEASANT SURPRISE
Jimmy gave a loud yarn as he drove into the middle section of Gotham City. He hadn't slept for twenty-five hours, and this deprivation had started having its toil on him. Holo's speech soon brought him out of his reverie state. "Shrek's location has been discovered, he is just a few kilometers away from us.""Can I download the app you are using to track him?" Jimmy asked.Holo gave a dry cackling and said, "Impossible for human technology to hack into demons' website, Jimmy. Just follow my direction and we will be with him soon."Jimmy followed his precise description and an hour later, he was seen parking the car in front of a blue-painted gate with a relieved smile."My GPS picked that Bobby is somewhere inside this building. Come on, guys, Let's get down and go search for him."The human, the ghost, and the body of light soon alighted from the car, walked towards the partly opened gate, and then wobbled into the interior section of the fence.Far off was a white and blue painted
A COMPLETE BED OF ROSE
Special agent Rest Roland was having a nap inside his office when his phone rang. He picked it up, accepted the call, and then waited until a voice boomed out. "Hey, mate. What's up with you?""Nothing much bro. I just kind of fall in love with office work nowadays .""You are crazy. It will bore you to death in few days," a loud cackling was heard, and the man resumed his speech, "Have you heard about your boy?"Roland had several boys, he wasn't certain of the one Fred was talking about. But then, a beep was heard from his phone and a message appeared. Roland gawked at the screen of his phone as a face popped up, he shook his head and muttered, "The face looks familiar but I can't pinpoint where we have met. Who is he?""Tulip. I'm not surprised you didn't remember him.""Tulip!" Roland's eyes would have escaped out of their sockets if a large dark sunshade wasn't covering them. "Kidding me, huh?""Come on, mate. Look at him very well.""He looks like Tulip'a older fashion. What ha
TIME IS FLEETING
Judas knew Robert D'Angelo, nobody in or around Eldo City that didn't know him. Most jack of all trades were masters of none, Robert was an exception. He was excelling in all.Apart from being the founder and CEO of The Geisha mobile manufacturing industry, Robert inherited an oil well, so he was into selling crude and refined oil. He had an agro-allied industry, a pharmaceutical company, and to cap it all, he was a well-known pastor of one of these new-age churches and also a philanthropist. He was an influential man of God. "Your demons will have a tough time before they can be able to possess this man," Judas warned Kaul when he was informed of the mission.Kaul snorted back. No human is impossible for demons to use or possess, is just a matter of time. Time! Human time is fleeting. Just like their body, their memory, zeal, motivation, and discipline seemed to be reducing as they neared the end of their time. And this was the right time for the demons to increase their temptation
TO TAKE OVER THE EARTH
"According to Daemon, Bobby boarded a train going to Gotham City," Jimmy said, spreading his palms and then resuming his speech, "and the question is, what on earth did he go there for?"Terry shrugged in response. Jimmy rolled his eyes and cried out, "Stop shrugging, Jerry. We need something more than Daemon's information. Gotham City has a large landscape and is populated with almost half a million inhabitants.""And so?""And so! We aren't knocking from one house to another, are we?"Terry answered in a determined voice, "We are going to Gotham City, and if it takes us to knock on each door in that city to find Bobby, then that's what we are doing."The trio were silent for a while. They were on the main road that leads out of Eldo City to Gotham City. While both the human and the ghost leaned over the car's body, Holo was seen floating around them. "You are crazy," Jimmy muttered at last. He then turned towards Holo and asked, "What do you have to say concerning this goose chase
WRATHFUL STARES
Betty's countenance was more of shock than fear when she cried out, "Ouch! What the fuck are you doing?" She saw the blade when it was about to dip into her flesh, and despite all her efforts to avoid the impact, the result still left her with a big gash at her back, a few inches from her backbone. A gash that now drools with blood and hurts like hell. This was what she earned for being slow and stupid. Linda has a snarl on her face, and with her knife drooling with blood, she looks like a teenager from a kid-slashing movie. Only that Linda is not a teenager. How can she be, when she cloaked thirty years some days ago? And besides, this is not a movie. "I'm doing what the evil spirit failed to do," she cried out, stepped forward, and then slashed the blade at Betty's face. But Betty had anticipated her moves and quickly stepped back. "I intentionally gave you the wrong Jar, bitch. I want the demon to kill you for bounding him to a body...now you left me no choice than -. And how t
