Li Jie and the others were surprised to find that Wei Zi was already waiting for their arrival. They suspected that Queen Yue Qi had leaked their plan to Wei Zi.

The three of them walked, following Wei Zi’s steps toward a private chamber reserved for the royal family.

Before they entered the room, Wei Zi looked around carefully to ensure that no one was watching them.

"Come on, get in!" he urged.

The four of them entered the room and firmly shut the door behind them.

"So, you’ve finally arrived," said Queen Yue Qi as she emerged from another door within the chamber. The beautiful woman gave them a warm smile. For a moment, her gaze lingered on Li Jie before she moved toward a chair.

"Our respects, Your Majesty," said Wei Zi on behalf of the others. The four of them bowed their heads in respect.

"Sit down."

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

An awkward silence briefly filled the air after they had all

Karman’s gaze fixed on the massive crater left by their last collision—its edges jagged and wide, soil and rock scattered in every direction, and thick clouds of dust hanging heavy in the air to obscure all vision beyond a few paces. The very mountain top had been scarred by their battle, the earth itself bearing witness to the immense power they wielded.Meanwhile, Aji felt his eyes burning with a searing pain, warm blood beginning to trickle slowly from the corners, tracing dark paths down his cheeks. Yet he paid it no mind as he drew deeply upon his inner energy—this time holding nothing back. Crimson light blazed not just from the Dragon Earth Sword in his hand, but from every inch of his body, wrapping him in an aura of pure fire that made him seem more spirit than man.Though pain shot through his hands with every movement, Karman knew he had no choice but to stand his ground. He watched as the brilliant red figure of his opponent moved swiftly toward him, each step leaving a tr

  • THE FALL OF THE TERRIFYING MASK

Karman met Aji’s advance head-on, his movements growing swifter with each passing moment as he pressed his younger opponent back across the mountain summit. Time and again, Aji’s strikes came crashing toward him—only to be turned aside with effortless precision, as if Karman were swatting away nothing more than flies. After exchanging dozens of blows, Aji was forced to retreat once more, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he struggled to keep pace. Karman’s speed was increasing exponentially with every passing second, and it was all Aji could do to avoid being overwhelmed by the relentless assault.“I still cannot fathom how my four brothers fell at your hands,” Karman hissed, appearing directly before Aji in a blur of movement. His fists were wreathed in dark energy that crackled like black thunder, and his voice rang with cold fury. “But I will ensure their deaths are avenged this very night!”“SKULL SPIRIT PUNCH!”The blow struck true, sending Aji hurtling backward through the ai

  • THE TROUBLESOME FOE

“Does my reason matter to you?” Aji let out a soft chuckle, his eyes briefly flickering toward the thick pine tree where Ratih remained hidden. The mountain night was so dark, so heavy with shadow, that Karman did not notice the glance—nor did he sense the presence of another soul on the summit.“I will ask you one more time, cur! Tell me why you killed my four brothers!” Karman roared, his voice shaking the very air around them. His masked face was turned fully toward Aji, and even through the twisted features of his disguise, the intensity of his rage was unmistakable.Aji drew a long, slow breath, letting the cool mountain air fill his lungs before he spoke. “Those four men stood in my path. When they refused to let me pass—and chose to attack instead—I had no choice but to defend myself. Death was simply the consequence of their actions.”“This mountain and all lands beyond are forbidden territory,” Karman shot back immediately, his stance rigid with self-righteous fury. “It was t

  • THE TERRIFYING MASKED FIGURE

Aji narrowed his eyes, squinting to make out the dark form standing seven meters before him. The mountain night still held its grip on the summit, and shadows clung to the figure like a second skin—but after a few heartbeats, he realized the darkness was not just from the night. The man wore a mask carved into a grotesque, terrifying visage, its features twisted into a permanent snarl that seemed to leer at him from beneath the hood of his black robes.“Seems you might need to have your eyes checked, young man,” Aji replied, his voice laced with mocking amusement. He stood relaxed, his hands resting casually at his sides—as if facing a high-ranking member of the most feared dark sect in the realm was nothing more than a chance encounter on a quiet road.“Filth! My eyes are perfectly fine!” Karman roared, his voice booming across the clearing with enough force to make the dead leaves scatter across the ground. The insult stung deep—he was the deputy leader of the Black Skull Sect, reve

  • THE NEXT BATTLE

Without warning, a cataclysmic wave of searing energy exploded outward from where Aji stood, hurling the four surrounding figures through the air like discarded rags. By some small miracle, they managed to rally their inner strength at the last moment, erecting a thin barrier of protective energy to shield themselves from the heat that would have reduced their bodies to dust in mere seconds.Even so, they could not escape the force of the blast. Each warrior crashed into the thick trunk of a pine tree, their impacts shaking the forest with dull, resounding thuds.“Damnation! We had no idea he possessed such power!” one of them groaned, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth as internal injuries began to take their toll. His body convulsed with pain as he pushed himself away from the splintered tree trunk, his back screaming in agony from where it had struck the unyielding wood. His three companions staggered to join him, their faces hidden behind masks but their body language be

  • THE NIGHT-SPLITTING DISKS

“Their movements are impossibly fast…” Aji muttered under his breath, his muscles burning with exertion as he parried yet another flurry of strikes. He had faced overwhelming odds countless times in his life—battling bandits in moonless forests, confronting rogue nobles with armies at their backs—but never before had he encountered an enemy whose tactics were so perfectly coordinated. The way they wove long-range disk attacks between close-quarters sword strikes was nothing short of terrifying, leaving him with barely a moment to breathe, let alone plan his countermoves. In the deep darkness of the mountain night, lit only by the dying embers of their campfire, Aji could not fully evade a powerful kick that slammed into his ribs, sending him staggering backward. He planted his right foot firmly in the soft earth, grinding his heels into the ground to halt his retreat, his jaw clenched against the sharp pain that shot through his side.“How can they see so clearly in this blackness?” h
