After obtaining the pentagonal seal, Wu Long did not head straight to the prison. Instead, he sought a secluded place and swiftly soared away from the palace toward his residence.

Unease and suspicion briefly clouded Mao Tung and the others when Wu Long left. They feared that he might betray their presence and report them to the authorities. But the moment Wu Long returned with a bright smile on his face, everyone’s tension melted into relief.

“I’ve got the seal. But I must return immediately before Emperor Guo Yin grows suspicious,” Wu Long said hastily.

“Very well, hand it to me,” replied Mao Tung, reaching for the seal as Wu Long passed it to him.

For a few long seconds, the leader of the Demon Warrior Tribe stared silently at the pentagonal seal resting in his hand. His mind analyzed the energy embedded within it—the unique power Emperor Guo Yin had used to create it.

“You think your attack is flawless? Maybe it works against others, but not against me!” Li Jie’s voice rang through the battlefield, sharp and unwavering. “As long as the sun still shines above, I can always find where your true body hides!” Demon King Guo Yin froze for a brief second, his monstrous gaze lifting toward the blazing sun. Then, instinctively, he looked down—and his eyes widened in disbelief as he saw the faint trace of his own shadow on the scorched earth. “So that’s it…” he murmured darkly. “Yes,” Li Jie interrupted, his tone laced with scorn. “That’s the flaw in your invisible technique. How could you be so foolish as to forget the most obvious weakness—your shadow?” “Damn it!” Guo Yin growled, his jaw tightening. “I underestimated him!” In all his countless battles, never once had anyone discovered the secret behind his unseen assaults. Yet this young human—this mortal—had don

Unbeknownst to King Guo Yin, Li Jie’s earlier display of power was nothing more than a distraction—a calculated ploy meant to draw the Demon King’s focus so that Zhu Feng and his forces could storm the palace unhindered. “But they possess powerful figures among their ranks, Mahaguru,” complained Emperor Guo Yin, his voice laced with unease. Mahaguru’s piercing eyes glinted with sharpness. “And what does that make me, Your Majesty? Tell me, who among them wields power greater than mine?” His tone rose slightly, filled with restrained irritation. “I… I apologize, Mahaguru. It’s not that I doubt your strength,” the emperor stammered, “but they…” “Enough, Your Majesty!” Mahaguru’s words sliced through the air like a blade. “If Your Majesty lacks the confidence to win this war, then your throne will soon crumble beneath your feet.” Guo Yin fell silent. He dared not argue further, fearing that the mightiest being of the Demon Realm—his own advisor—might abandon him in anger. Yet deep down, he knew his concerns were not without reason.
