THE NEW CEO OF J.S CORPORATIONS

"I think it's time we remove John from his position," one of the board members said, and the others nodded in agreement. John shot a look of disgust at Missy, who had her head down, before turning to George, who was on the verge of tears.

"That audio is fake," John said calmly. "This is a setup."

"Enough, John!" Scott said, his voice rising in anger. "You don't have the right to say anything!"

"You will not speak to me that way!" John yelled, his voice echoing through the room, making Missy flinch. The tension in the room was palpable, and the other board members shifted uneasily in their seats.

John turned to look at Missy for what he was about to say.

"Missy," John called at her, his voice gentle but insistent. He turned to face her, and she slowly lifted her head, her eyes red and damp with tears. "Please," he pleaded. "Tell the board the truth. They won't believe me and it's obviously clear why, but they might believe you."

Missy sniffed and swallowed hard, her body shaking with emotion. "I can't lie," she whispered. "The audio recording is..." She paused, glancing at John, then looked back at the board members. "It's real," she said, her voice breaking.

John's eyes widened, and a look of horror spread across his face. Monica, on the other hand, was smiling, a satisfied gleam in her eyes. Missy shifted her gaze away from John, unable to meet his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Smith," she said, her voice shaking. "I didn't want to betray you, but he said he would fire me if I didn't help him. I needed my job to take care of my family, so I did it. I've been helping him take money from the company for years now. But then I just couldn't do it anymore, and I told Mrs. Monica about everything. I told her that I didn't want to be a part of it anymore, and she said she would help me."

Mrs. Monica interrupted, a smug look on her face. "I told her that the only way out was to come forward and expose everything. And I'm so glad she did."

John looked from Missy to Mrs. Monica, a feeling of dread settling in his stomach. "What have you done?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "You've ruined me!"

“Mr John, I'll ask you to remain silent. You have said just enough now don't speak!” One of the board members said.

The room was silent for a moment, the tension thick and heavy. Missy stood there, her hands trembling, her eyes welling with tears. Finally, one of the board members cleared his throat. "Thank you for your honesty, Missy," he said, his voice grave.

"We need to get to the bottom of this," another of the board members said. "We need to hear from everyone involved, and we need to do it now."

"What about the company?" another board member asked. "We can't afford to be distracted by this right now."

"We can't afford not to," the board member from before replied. "This could be a threat to the integrity of the company."

The board members exchanged glances, their faces a mix of confusion and disbelief. Monica cleared her throat before she began.

"I believe I'm more than capable of handling the affairs of the company in the meantime," she said, a smug smile on her face. "And I think it's time we put this matter to a vote, don't you?" she added, looking around the room.

The board members remained silent, but their expressions seemed to suggest that they agreed with her.

"All in favor of removing John as the CEO of James Corporation, please raise your hand," Monica said, raising her own hand in the air.

Slowly but surely, the other board members followed suit, until finally only one hand was left down - John's. He looked around the room, his eyes wide and his mouth agape. Even Scott voted him out!

"The votes have been counted," Monica said, a triumphant look on her face. "It's official. John Smith is no longer the CEO of J.S Corporations!"

The room was silent, save for the sound of John's ragged breathing. He felt as if the ground had been pulled out from under him. How could this be happening? He'd worked so hard to get where he was, and now it was all being taken away from him. He felt sick to his stomach, and his vision started to blur.

"Mr Smith?" George said, his voice breaking into his thoughts. "Are you okay?"

John didn't answer, he just stood there, frozen in place. He couldn't move, couldn't think, couldn't even breathe. It was as if the world had stopped spinning and he was the only one who was still in motion.

"John is fine," Monica responded, her voice stern. "Now, let's move on to the next item of business."

She turned to address the rest of the board members. "All in favor of appointing Monica Ray as the new CEO of J.S. Corporation, please raise your hands."

The board members' eyes widened in surprise at what they heard and immediately they turned to face John.

“Monica…Ray?” He managed to ask with pain in his voice.

“All in favor, please raise your hands.”

John's eyes widened as he watched the other board members slowly raise their hands, one by one. Only two hands remained down: John's and Scott's. John felt a pang of relief, knowing that at least Scott hadn't betrayed him completely.

Monica looked around the room, a satisfied smile on her face. "The votes have been counted," she said. "It's official. Monica Ray is the new CEO of J.S. Corporations.”

John couldn't believe what he was hearing. How could this be happening? He had worked so hard to build this company from the ground up, and now it was being taken away from him. He felt like he was being torn apart, his heart and soul ripped from his body.

Her announcement was met with a round of applause from the board members. They congratulated her and she thanked them, a sense of victory in her voice. She stood up and walked over to John's empty chair, a confident swagger in her step. She sat down and looked around the room, her gaze fixed and determined.

"I promise that under my leadership, J.S. Corporation will be the best it can be, and I will not use the company's resources for personal gain," she said, her voice strong and clear.

As she spoke, John silently gathered his folders and slipped them into his briefcase. He looked around the room, his eyes empty, his face devoid of expression.

As Monica spoke, he turned and left the room, closing the door quietly behind him. He walked down the hall, his footsteps echoing in the silence. The victory that Monica had just experienced felt hollow and empty. She had won, but at what cost?

As John walked away, he felt a deep sense of loss and betrayal. He had given his all to J.S. Corporation, and now he was being pushed out, his reputation in tatters. He wondered what the future held for him.

“Let's talk about the agenda for today's meeting,” Monica said. “I believe we should discuss the potential seizure of John's assets, including money in his bank accounts and property in various locations around the country. This would help to repay the funds that were allegedly stolen from the company. What do you all think? Should we put it to a vote?”
