Leonard relaxed into his chair with the phone placed against his ears. "I am going to end you if you don't let the boy be. He belongs to me!" He said with anger, gritting his teeth.

"Belongs to you? The boy is a Carter by blood. How dare you ask me to leave what belongs to me alone!" Clark's voice was visibly heard over the line.

"Why are you calling me, Leonard? You called first; there must be something you want from me." Clark added.

"Do I need to ask? I know what you are doing. And it would be better if you let the old man go." Leonard said with anger.

"Let him go? The last time I checked, we both made all of this happen. You want to be the kingpin in the city, and you would do anything and use any means to make it happen. Hell, you even married your daughter to him. Did you tell him the true reason why you did?" Clark's voice boomed yet again.

There was silence between the callers. Each one of them trying to choose his next words carefully.

The city sprawled before them, a jagged collage of glinting towers, back alleys, and hidden eyes. Anna stared out the tinted window, her reflection faint against the glass. She barely recognized herself. The sleek dress clung to her curves, her damp hair now drying in soft waves, and that chain—Alessia’s—sat cold between her collarbones, as if mocking her place in all this. Jason hadn’t said a word since their exchange. The tension in the car could slice steel. Skull sat up front, watching the GPS while Raven occasionally glanced into the rearview mirror, his usual sharp tongue subdued. Something about this trip had changed the air, made it heavier. Jason wasn’t just visiting family. He was going into hostile territory—and taking her with him as proof. A message in human form. Anna tightened her fingers around the silver pendant again. The car slowed as they approached the city’s outer district—an old estate, once regal, now encased in iron fences, guarded by armed men i

" I don't you should go." Raven said looking at Jason who was now getting dressed. " And why is that?" Jason looked back to meet his gaze. " You do know the Carter are also my family as much as the Walkers are. I need to know why I am being summoned." Raven looked at Skull. " Can you tell him this is a bad idea?" " I don't think Mr Jaosn should be leaving the house now especially when Niko is out there trying o claim your life." Skull advised. " That is why you both are following me. We need to recruitote men too. If Niko is after my life then I need to be well guarded." Jason said staring at the both of them. " What about her? What should we do?" Raven asked. " She goes everywhere I go. I am not letting her out of my sight. And did you what I asked of you?" Jason turned to looked at Raven. " Yes. I made a few calls and I was about to find out that one of he top officials let him go after he offers them millions of dollars. Who wouldn't say no to money." Raven said with

The bullet shattered the glass, slicing through the tension like a blade. Everyone dropped instantly—Skull yanked Anna down behind the couch, Jason threw himself to the ground, dragging Raven down with him."Sniper!" Raven shouted, crawling toward the far side of the room. "Everyone stay down!"Jason’s eyes narrowed. His instincts, honed over years of surviving betrayal and bloodshed, screamed that this wasn’t random. It was a warning.Another shot rang out, this time embedding itself in the wooden frame of the door. The aim wasn’t to kill. Not yet."Back exit," Jason barked, crawling low. “Skull—take Anna!”"I'm not leaving without answers!" Anna shouted, struggling against Skull’s grip."You want answers? Stay alive!" Skull hissed.Jason peeked through a sliver in the blinds. A faint shimmer in the trees told him exactly where the shooter was. " I think Niko just got some really backing now." he murmured to himself "He's got his elite teams," Jason muttered."What did I say?" Skul

Jason looked at Skull and wasn't sure of what he was suppose to say. " We were just thinking about about calling you." Raven said walking forwards from behind Jason. But Skull was too daze to talk to either Jason or Raven. Rather his eyes was fixed on Anna who was now looking back at him scared." I thought she is..." Skull stuttered a bit." Dead? That was what I thought you when I saw the pictures before I had to come down here." Jason said closing the door behind him." If she is not Alessia, then who is she?" He asked looking at her face. " This is Anna. I believe she must have been cloned to play the role of my dead wife. Obviously she was used as a bait to have me brought down here." Jaosn said looking at Skull." You still haven't told us why you are here." Raven said again staring at him. " What about the blood?"The room was tensed and a bit suffocatiolng. The look on Skull said it all." He has it." Skull said slowly with his head bowed." Who has it? What do you mean?" Jaso

" Talk to me Raven." Jaosn said looking at his face. " What do we have here?" The room was silent for a bit. " I am not sure, Mr Jason. I think this is military." Raven said finally. " What do you mean, Military?" Jason asked looking at Anna who seems to be on edge. " I think Miss Anna here was cloned." Raven said looking at Jason's face. " Cloned? You mean I am some kind of robot?" Anna asked dropping to the chair behind her. " I am sorry to break this to you, Miss Anna but that is the only thing I can come up with. You are not twin because Mrs Alessia Carter died a long time ago. I think if you are then we would have known. You coming out now to hunt Mr Jason showed that whoever wanted to hurt him waited for this moment." Raven said finally. The room was heavy with tension. Jason looked at Anna and doesn't know what to what to say. " Are you saying that I a living someone else life? Someone dead?" Anna asked. " I think we need to calm out neveres here." Ja

Raven stepped out of the car, his instincts kicking in like a fire alarm in the quiet rhythm of the afternoon. The sun had dimmed slightly behind a stretch of clouds, casting the alley and café entrance in a mellow grey. But it wasn’t the weather that made his chest tighten—it was the SUV. Matte black, with tinted windows that reflected nothing but menace. He slipped his shades on, scanning the vehicle without turning his head. He’d been in this game long enough to know what a stakeout looked like. And that SUV didn’t belong to a nosy journalist or an overprotective boss. No. That was military-grade tint. Modified plates. Engine still running.Raven’s jaw clenched as he slowly circled to the back of the café, pretending to light a cigarette. He tilted his head, catching movement behind the driver’s side window—barely a flicker of a figure. He tapped the small comms device in his ear, disguised as a Bluetooth earpiece.“Marco,” he murmured.A moment later, the older man’s voice cr
