Marvin unfolded the sheet of paper slowly, and his sharp gaze never left Jessica. The faint rustling of the paper echoed in the room.

“First,” he began, his voice was cold and deliberate, “I want you to return my Diamond Royale credit card. Second, I demand ultimate control over the four companies you own in Neovalle. Third, I need a direct link to the Tarejo Investment Group. And lastly,” he paused for dramatic effect, leaning forward, “I want compensation of ten billion dollars for all the trouble you’ve caused me over the past few weeks.”

Jessica’s ghostly form flickered as she gasped, her glowing eyes widened in disbelief. “You are not serious! That is an outrageous request!” she snapped, her voice came trembling with frustration. “I will never be able to meet such demands!”

Marvin smirked, unbothered by her outburst. Slowly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the small, metallic device. It glinted in the warm light as he held it up for her to see.

“This device,” he said, w

Jessica’s hands trembled as she stared at the contract. Her mind raced for a way out, but every option seemed impossible. Slowly, she lifted her gaze to Marvin, whose icy stare bore into her.“Please, Marvin,” she said, with voice that cracked under the weight of desperation. “Be considerate. Handing over the four companies my family owns here in Neovalle would ruin my life and everything my family worked so hard to build here. I’ll return your credit card. I’ll even link you with the Tarejo Investment Group. But please… don’t take the companies. And the ten billion… that’s far too much! Can’t you reduce it?”Marvin’s expression didn’t soften. Instead, his eyes narrowed, and he leaned back in his chair, twirling the small device in his hand. “Oh, you want me to be considerate, huh?” he said coldly. “Tell me, Jessica, were you considerate when you ordered the attack that killed my mother?”Jessica’s mouth opened, but no words came out. Marvin heard the faint hum of Luminar in his head, steady and calm, as though unaffected by the chaos around him.“It is possible,” the voice of his synaptic echo replied. “You could perform a telekinetic maneuver to disarm the gunmen or use telepathy to cloud their minds and turn them against Jessica. However…” Luminar paused before continuing, “…you haven’t mastered enough meditation to give you the focus required for such a feat.”Marvin clenched his fists, as anger boiled inside him. “I could try,” he muttered in his mind.“Even if you attempt it Mr Marvin, there is just a fifteen percent chance you will be able to pull it off,” Luminar stated bluntly.Jessica’s voice suddenly pierced through his concentration. “Oh, Marvin, Marvin, my very good ex-partner,” she said, her tone was mocking and venomous. “Did you ever think you could outsmart a woman like me, who has known you for years?”She paused, letting her words sink in. • THE UNDERESTIMATED HEIR   A LOST CHANCE

Three days later, Marvin drove a small, beat-up scooter through the busy streets of Neovalle. The city buzzed with life, and its towering skyscrapers gleamed under the bright sun. His scooter weaved through traffic like a shadow, almost invisible among the larger vehicles. On his back was a box marked “Delivery,” and on his chest which had the logo and colours of the Zypher conglomerate, he wore a plastic tag that read, “Delivery Personnel.”Marvin wore simple clothing—a plain white shirt and dark pants—but he had chosen a cologne that left a trail of rich, sophisticated scent as he passed. For good measure, he had added a fake mustache, thick and neatly combed, disguising his face. It was hard to connect the calm, commanding man from three nights ago with this quiet delivery driver. The scooter slowed as Marvin approached the heart of Neovalle’s business district. His eyes widened slightly as he looked up at the towering structure ahead of him: the headquarters of the Zyphers. T

We’re divided into two strong factions.”He raised two fingers to make his point.“One side—your side—believes you fought bravely. You embarrassed them… and you made enemies.”Marvin’s brows furrowed.“But… why would they see me as a threat?” he asked. “I’m based here in Neovalle. I run a solar based tech company. My focus is innovation. I don’t even want anything in Westwood. Even when I finally get to hold the Astralyte… my goals haven’t changed.
