Dustin stood in the middle of the boutique, looking as calm as a still lake.

He didn't fret. He didn't shake. He just stood there with his hands in his pockets.

"Dustin, please," Serena whispered, her voice trembling. "Just apologize. You don't know what you’re doing."

Lizzy nodded quickly, her face pale. "She’s right, Dustin. Just say you’re sorry. Henry’s family can destroy you in a second!"

Henry, still rubbing his wrist on the floor, looked up with a cruel smile. "Hear that, village boy? My father is coming, and you’ll regret you miserable life today if you still refuse to be stubborn.

If you kneel right now and plead for your life, I might let you crawl away. If not, I’ll make sure you never walk again I promise you."

Dustin looked down at him and smiled hard, he didn’t even flinch, he stayed composed and relaxed as if he knows it all.

“How dare you smile?” Henry said in disbelief and surprised.

"Is he mentally ill?" Rachel mocked.

"He thinks he’s a king in those ten-dollar shoes!" a bystander snickered.

"The village boy has a big ego," Henry laughed through his pain.

"I can't wait to see him cry." "He’s dreaming! Someone wake him up before he gets killed!" Lizzy added, shaking her head.

The heavy glass doors swung open. The air in the room seemed to vanish.

A horizontal line of men in black suits marched in, creating a human wall. They stood at attention, clearing a wide path.

Then, Mr. Wilson stepped inside. He moved with the power of a man who owned the world.

Henry’s eyes lit up. "It’s over for you now!" he hissed at Dustin.

He rised to his feet and rushed toward his father like a crying child.

Mr. Wilson frowned. "What is happening here? Why is this place a mess?"

"Father!" Henry shouted. He pointed at Dustin. "That village boy bullied me! He tried to break my hand. He insulted our family. You have to punish him!"

Mr. Wilson’s face turned angry. "Who would dare hurt my son in my own store?" He turned his head sharply toward the person Henry was pointing at.

Then, he stopped breathing, it looked as if he has seen a ghost.

He saw Dustin. To everyone else, Dustin was a nobody. But to Mr. Wilson, Dustin was the God of War.

Mr. Wilson was only there to welcome him. He was shocked. He was so shocked why his son could call a God of war a village boy, he still can’t comprehend.

Everyone waited for the explosion. They expected Mr. Wilson to call the guards. Instead, the great Commander Wilson took a deep breath and immediately bowed low.

"I am so sorry," Wilson whispered, his voice shaking.

A collective gasp filled the store.

"What’s happening?" a woman whispered.

"Why is the Commander bowing to a peasant?" another asked. "Is this a joke?"

Henry got confused. "Father! What are you doing? He’s the one who beat me! Why are you bowing to this useless bastard? He’s just some nuts village boy!"

Mr. Wilson looked up. His eyes were full of rage. "Shut up! Do you know who he is?”

Dustin gave him a sharp look. He shook his head. Do not tell them who I am.

Mr. Wilson gulped. He could not reveal the secret. "He is... he is the man who saved my life! He is my savior! Do not ever say a bad word to him again!"

Serena saw that things were changing. She stepped forward. "Mr. Wilson, Henry started this. He called us names. He tried to kick us out because we did not bow to him."

"And he tried to grab Serena!" Lizzy added. She wanted to be on the winning side.

Rachel screamed, "They are lying! They were rude to us first!"

Mr. Wilson looked at the shop staff. He looked very scary. "Tell me the truth. If you lie, I will fire you right now."

The staff member trembled. "It was Master Henry, sir. He was making fun of them. He tried to grab the lady first."

Mr. Wilson turned to his son.

"How dare you?" Mr. Wilson roared. "You chase away customers because they don't greet you? And you bring this useless girl to cause trouble?"

"Father!" Henry cried. "You are choosing this trash over me?"

SLAP!

The sound was very loud. Henry’s face went red.

"He is not trash!" Mr. Wilson yelled. "He is a better man than you."

He pointed at the floor.

"Now, get on your knees," Mr. Wilson commanded. "Apologize to him right now and the ladies too or you are not my son anymore."

Lizzy and Rachel watched in horror. The table hadn't just turned; it had been flipped over. Dustin wasn’t the one on his knees, Henry would be the one to crawl. And now, it was happening.

The room was a chaos of shouting and finger-pointing. Serena groaned, pressing her palms against her temples. The bright hospital lights made her vision swim."Enough!" Serena’s voice was weak, but it cut through the noise. "I have a massive headache. Can you all just keep it quiet for one minute?"The room fell silent. Mrs. Morgan rushed to the bedside, smoothing Serena’s hair. "Of course, darling. We’re just trying to make sure this... this peasant doesn't take credit for Ferdinand’s hard work."Serena looked at Dustin, then at Ferdinand. Her memory was hazy, like looking through a foggy window. "Dustin... I remember him coming into the room. I remember his voice. If Ferdinand called his father for backup too, then I’m grateful to both of you."She stopped there. She didn't mention the cold shiver that ran down her spine when she looked at Ferdinand. She hadn't forgotten the night at the party months ago when Ferdinand had trapped her in the hallway, his breath smelling of whiskey,

The air in the living room was thick enough to choke on. Every eye was pinned to the phone resting on the table. It vibrated, buzzing predator in the silence.Ring. Ring. Ring.No one moved. It was so silenced that no one wanted to interrupt. Ferdinand reached out, his fingers trembling slightly as he swiped to redial. He pressed the phone to his ear, his jaw tight."Still nothing?" Mrs. Morgan whispered, leaning in as if her proximity could force the signal through.Ferdinand pulled the phone away, staring at the darkened screen with a look of frustration. "The line... it just went dead. My father's phone must have run out of battery. He’s been in back-to-back meetings with the ministry all day.""How convenient," Dustin said, his voice dripping with irony. "What a miraculous coincidence. The man who supposedly sent a private army to save Serena suddenly has a dead battery the second we need proof. It’s almost poetic."Ferdinand’s head snapped toward him, eyes flashing. "What would

Mrs. Earnshaw screamed, stumbling out of the car. She rushed at him, her face twisted in a mask of terror and rage. "What are you doing here, you useless boy? Where is my daughter? Where is Serena?"Mrs. Morgan followed close behind, but she stopped dead when she looked at the pavement. "Blood..." she whispered, pointing at the dark, wet stains splattered across the marble steps. "Oh God, there’s blood everywhere! Dustin, what did you do? Where is she?" She panicked.Dustin didn't move. His voice was flat, devoid of the panic they were feeling. "Serena is safe. The Red Eagle squad arrived just in time. They h

Not even if the building is on fire."The guards walked out and locked the heavy door. Mr. Roland looked down at Serena and smirked. "You are finally mine," he whispered. He p

The next morning, the sun hit the bedroom floor, but Serena was already gone. Dustin rubbed his eyes and walked into the living room. Mrs. Earnshaw and her friend, Mrs. Morgan, were sitting on the sofa. They were drinking tea and looking at him with disgust."Good morning," Dustin said politely.Mrs. Earnshaw didn't greet him back. Instead, she put her tea down with a loud force like she’s willing to brake the mug in response to her rage and anger. "Look at you. You look like a beggar who stayed the night. How much longer do you plan to ruin my daughter’s life?"Mrs. Morgan laughed. "He is probably waiting for a handout. Look at those clothes. Even my gardener dresses better."Mrs. Earnshaw pulled a checkbook from her bag. She wrote a number and tossed the paper on the table. "Here. Ten million dollars. Take it and leave Serena forever. Go back to your village and buy a farm or whatever you feel like, that should be enough for a like standard like you."Dustin looked at the chec
