“There's no way that good for nothing has 1.5 million saved up, right?” Ava asked as she stared at William.

He had just made a bid, catching her as well as Lucas off guard as they thought of him as a poor man who needed Celia to survive.

Celia however, remarked. “Well, he was once a well-known medical practitioner, so it's no surprise that he has a bit of money saved up.”

“That's true.” Lucas nodded in agreement. “Which means he is most likely utilizing everything he has.”

“How foolish. Instead of him to save himself, he is thinking about saving children.” Ava said in a mocking tone. “I'm sure he is only trying to do this to entice Miss Smith.”

Celia snorted. “Heh, if that's his plan, then he is beyond foolish.”

“I agree. The Smith family is a wealthy family capable of buying whatever they want whenever they want. Does he think that a meager 1.5 can make an impression on the heiress of such a reputable family?”
