Chapter 46

“Why do you have my phone?” Henry said and made Laura jump. The phone flew out of her hands and fell to the bed. She looked white on the face.

“I... I tried calling you but you were not picking so I saw you phone ringing” she stammered and moved to pick the phone but henry was faster. He took the phone and tucked it into his shorts. He immediately walked away. She didn’t know why he was acting all cold to her. Laura longed to have him talk about his problems to her but Henry was tight lipped. All through the afternoon as she made lunch, and Henry helped with the laundry, she tried to get him to talk but all he said, was that there was some issues with the gang but at the same time assured her that everything was alright. Laura wanted to help. She didn’t know that killing Chloe would come with its problems. She was going to help out but first she had to get Henry to start talking. If anything happened now, Henry could get suspicious of her.
