Malik moved cautiously through the bank's vault area, his big fan gripped tightly in hand. The dim emergency lights hanging overhead, as he walked down the hallway. At the end of the corridor, he spotted a heavy security door standing slightly ajar.

"Found something," he muttered into his comm. "One of the vault rooms is open. Safety deposit boxes look like they've been forced open. I'm checking it out."

"Stay alert," Marwan's voice crackled back. "Ghouls don't care about money. There's something else going on here."

Malik smirked. "Maybe it's a ghoul with expensive tastes."

He pushed the door open wider and stepped inside. The room was in complete disarray - metal safety deposit boxes torn apart, their contents scattered across the floor. What caught his attention most were the deep claw marks scoring the steel walls.

"This wasn't any ordinary robbery-"

A loud clang echoed through the vault as the heavy door slammed shut behind him.

The ghoul appeared, dressed exactly like the detainee, the drug dealer they caught. The moment he stepped into the cell, Ali’s sharp eyes caught the unnatural hue of his skin and the eerie glow in his eyes. Without hesitation, Ali raised his sword, his grip tightening as he prepared to strike. But before he could swing, Laith grabbed his arm, stopping him mid-motion. "What are you doing?" Laith demanded, his voice sharp. "Can’t you see this is a ghoul, not a human?" Ali responded."Wait a minute," Laith insisted, his gaze locked onto the creature. "Something’s wrong." The ghoul’s lips twisted into a grotesque smile. Before either of them could react further, it lunged, claws slashing through the air. But Ali and Laith were faster, they sidestepped with practiced ease, countering in unison. A swift strike to the legs brought the ghoul down, and within moments, they had it pinned and bound.Panting slightly, Ali shot Laith a look. "Next time, we strike first and ask questions lat

  • Chapter 188, A Crises At The Police Station.

Ali was very proud of Fadi and what he’d done. Thanks to him, they’d caught the traitor, which meant they’d have some peace from the Ghouls’ invasions, or at least for a while. They knew Waleed the despicable would eventually find another way, such as the labs where they were being developed, or worse, the bee hives that spawned them in the first place. A single Ghoul Queen Bee in the country would be a disaster on its own. That was why Hazim had been so busy lately, making frequent trips to Jenin and Tulkarm to investigate the Ghoul hives and secret labs. That's why Laith and Hazim had gotten into such a bad fight that Laith showed up at Ali’s place bruised and upset. "Who hit you?" Ali asked. "My brother," Laith muttered. "You must’ve pissed him off," Ali said. "No, he’s just hot-headed," Laith replied. "Honestly, he’s been patient with you," Ali pointed out. "He gave you a whole year before college just so you could figure things out. You must’ve come up with some stup

Fadi set up his own surveillance cameras separate from the Center’s official ones to monitor the suspect himself. At home, reviewing footage after his shift ended and the suspect’s shift began, he saw exactly what he’d expected: the moment the man entered, the center's cameras froze, showing a looped image to hide his activities. The suspect plugged a flash drive into the System, downloaded files, then pocketed the drive and left. Fadi immediately sent the hidden footage to Hadi. "This is our proof," he said. _____ The next morning, Hadi and Hazim stormed into the Barrier Development Center, their boots echoing against the polished floors as technicians scrambled out of their way. Mohsen Abu Ajwa barely had time to look up from his workstation before Hadi's hand clamped down on his shoulder. "Mohsen Abu Ajwa," Hadi said, his voice low and dangerous. "You're under arrest." Mohsen's face paled. "W-What is this? There must be some mistake!" Hazim held up the surveillance foot

They stayed with one of Hitham’s contacts, a local who agreed to help, knowing most of the area’s residents. They showed people Yazan’s photo, asking if anyone had seen a stranger matching his description. After asking a few people, they learned that someone fitting Yazan’s description had arrived in the area posing as a new schoolteacher but had suddenly disappeared. They asked for his name and had children describe him, the details matched Yazan perfectly. Malik suggested they return to headquarters, believing they’d wasted enough time since Yazan had clearly fled. But Hazim had doubts. On their first day there, he noticed a young Bedouin man who looked out of place, he didn't look or act like the locals.Hazim leaned forward, his fingers drumming against the worn wooden table. "This stranger you mentioned - tell me more about

Ali lay in his hospital bed when his aunt arrived to check on him, bringing along her daughter, the one his aunt insisted he was engaged to, despite the mutual dislike between her and Ali. His aunt fussed over him, saying, "We came as soon as we heard! Your cousin was so worried, she insisted on seeing you!" It was painfully obvious her daughter had been dragged along against her will. She didn't glance his way and was bust texting someone, she only gave a nod after her mother nudged her. Ali forced a polite smile. "Thank you for visiting, Auntie and Muna." His mother entered shortly after, exchanging greetings with his aunt. His aunt immediately launched into her usual theatrics. "Poor boy, always in the hospital! So brilliant, top of his class, an engineer now, yet here he is every other week. Don't you worry about him? How can you let him do such dangerous things?" Ali was too tired to deal with family drama, he had enough and said. "Auntie, either wish me well or let me rest
