The wavering sea crashed on his tender body as he attempted to swim through the waves that made his body sink down the water.

Gunshot could be heard and bullets were pointing at the water, aiming for the victim of it's wrath.

He gasped for air, knowing that he was bad at swimming, those quivering legs of his couldn't fight through the twirling water that rose high and landed on him.

Those targetting their bullets at him surrender with the thought that he wouldn't survive the roaring storm. Rather, they took shelter their life as the water was coming up with rage on the land.

It seems the sea needed to vent its anger on the lands, hence wallowing anything it comes across. The boy trapped in its terror began to drown, he had tears in his eyes, his hovering arms gave up trying to survive.

While he sank deep, memories began to flood his head, it was going to be his last day on earth, with no miracle of being a survivor in this sea.

Darkness crept in gradually as a young boy covered in blood could be seen on the street. He had a back bag on with a dull, unexpressive and tearful look.

Those trembling hands of his rubbed his bruised cheeks that squivered from the sting gotten from the injuries substained.

One could tell that this lad was trying his best to fight the tears that had brewed up in his eyes almost making his vision blurry.

His steps were steady and heavy but they struggling to take him away from where he was, he tighten his grip on his back bag as his ears tingled at the sound of siren blasting towards his directions.

Those legs of his has to wear off laziness as they began to walk fast away from the sight of the cops vehicles which was drawing near.

At last, he got to a place where he could watch off the blood and change his stained outfit. While he did that, his eyes were cautious of the area, so as not to be sighted by a stranger. Quickly, he dropped the bag he hung, unzipped it and brought out dangerous tools.

He began to sob when his eyes met the tools which he had to dispose and he cried;

"I'm sorry"

Once he was done over here, he raced home. His parents were surprised at how late he was from school but he claimed it was an after school lesson and since they were less attentive to this loner kid, they both his lie.

However, his mother could sense something was troubling this lad even though he was usually quiet and sad all the time, today was quite different.

His hands were shaking and he barely said a word neither did he have dinner but just hasten to his room.

As his parents, they had no time for him, but hence they hardly built a friendly relationship with him. At least, his twin sisters got their love besides, they were his step sisters and his mother would adore them more than anything just to win their love as their new mother while he was pushed against the wall.

Even though he wanted his mother to be happy in this new family which they both moved into, he still was against the fact that she abandoned him claiming he shouldn't act childish as a teenager.

His only wish was to be loved at home but that wish had to fade because he had to do things on his own. Everyone knew him as being timid, naive witty and quiet. One couldn't tell if he had ever smiled in his life because he was always having gloomy face.

This lad's life was so private that it let others thinking, due to his quiet yet kind character in school, he got bullied by peers from wealthy background.

Whenever he tries to open up, his parents never gives him a chance rather, his step father would blame him for being a bully to other kids and his mother was just the supportive wife.

For those step sisters of his, it was worst because they always call him a lunatic because he always comes back with bruises from school. Sometimes, he wished they all died so he could have his peace of mind.

What kind of parents would neglect their child? Even when bullied or perhaps it could be because one of his bully's father was actually his stepfather's boss and probably, he didn't want to lose his job due to his stepson.

Although, his mother should have shown some sympathy for her weary son but it seems that caring heart of hers had been taken away by her stepdaughters. Most times, they never showed up at his school during his presentations or when they were summoned by the principal. What consoled him was the fact that he was an adolescent now and shouldn't expect life to be go on based on his terms as it could really be disappointed.

Today was quite different as his mother had come to check on him in the room, he wasn't expecting that either. He had to behave his best in front of her but she wasn't going to buy that pretense.

"What's wrong Alex? You skipped dinner"

No response was given to her, rather he climb on to his bed, covered himself with the blanket and heaved a sigh.

She kept pressuring him with questions that he had to cover his face with blanket and said;

"Go away, it's not like you care"

His mother scoffed, walked up to his bed and pulled the blanket, annoyed that he wasn't replying her questions but sending her away.

"I'm still your mother..."

"No you're not, it's because you feel guilty that's why you're here"

Those were his words and her mild gaze fell on his swollen face. It seems like he had cried out his eyes tonight and eagerly needed to tell someone what bothered him before his head explodes from fear of the unknown but certainly not anyone from his family.

"Really? Is that what you think?"

"That's what I know, if you do care, you would have defended in front of my peers, I agree I should be able to fight for myself but most times your support could be a motivation..."

"Philip..."

"Please don't make it hard for me, just go away" he petitioned collecting the blanket from her. Deep in his heart, he desired for her to stay back and expected her to be persistent on him opening up to her. He wanted a motherly love and someone whispering that it was okay and not to be scared because they were on his side.

Those expections were cut short as she left him immediately he read those last lines. It made him disgusted and pained, truly, he would have opened up if she was stayed longer.

"She left" he muttered and began to cry. He had thought this night would be different since she came visiting on her own will but it was like every other nights when she just check up on him.
