4. The Mysterious Woman

Chapter Four

*Doom Dosh Boom*

Xander Kings hits Ashton in the face with so much strength and without hesitating, the punch he sent to Ashthon was so powerful that Ashton fell down to the ground and his nose started bleeding and shouting in pain.

“Argh! You scumbag!”

Xander looked down at Ashton with no regrets, he has always wanted to do this but they are always in the university premises but this place is not on campus and at this point Xander didn’t care about the consequences of his actions. He was fed up and he acted on impulse which made him feel good and powerful.

“What are you idiots doing , get him!” Shouted Ashton to his drunk friend while covering his bloody face.

Ashton’s friend tried to fight Xander but the 3 young men couldn’t beat Xander because they were too drunk to fight. Besides, Xander is very strong due to his athletic training and exercise. Xander beat Ashton’s friends till they all fell to the ground, one of them even passed out.

Ashton was so embarrassed because everyone in the party was witnessing what happened and it’s a blow to his ego.

“You whores!Stop recording that or I will break your phones !” Shouted Ashthon to Bianca and Suzy while Karen just kept quite looking at the two men in front of her, Karen was so impressed by Xander’s fighting skills but she hide it and made sure her body language or expression on her face doesn’t shows it, she’s scared that Ashthon will find out and deal with him.

The people gathered at the party kept looking between Xander and Ashton wondering about what’s going to happen next,no one has ever stood up to the school's golden boy and absolutely no one dares to beat Ashthon up especially when the person is very poor.

“I am going to have you expelled from this university by the time I am done with you!” Threatened Ashthon but Xander ignored him, turned around to take his leave and trek back home when he felt the bouncers picking him up.

“Oh no! Stop this ! where are you taking me to?”Shouted Xander trying to fight him away from the grips of the bouncers but they were too heavy ,big and very strong. Nobody among the students was willing to help him.

Ashton and his men took Xander to a more secluded part of the Villa and beat him up till he couldn’t stand on his feet anymore. Xander tried to fight back but the bouncers were too strong for me and he passed out , falling to the ground when a painful punch landed on his stomach.

“What are we going to do with his body Boss?” The bouncers asked Ashton

“Is he dead ?“ Ashton asked , feeling good about himself and his wicked acts.One of the bouncers bent down and checked Xander’s pulse before confirming that he is alive and only unconscious.

“Then go and discard his body, I’m very sure he has learn his lessons and he will never embarrass me the way he did today” said Ashton and the bouncers nodded her head and pulled Xander’s limp body to a car before driving away with him.

“Where is Xander?” Asked Karen the moment she sighted Ashton coming out from the secluded part of his Villa

“Be a little good girl and ask no questions besides I’m too busy thinking of which sports car to gift you” said Ashton to Karen who nodded her head and kept quiet even though she strongly feels that something us wrong with Xander Kings but he is not her boyfriend or friend so she discard the feeling and followed Ashton back to the party where they drank, dance and partied all night.

On the other hand, the ruthless bouncers took Xander’s unconscious body and dumped him into the dirty river ,leaving him to die there. But Xander was lucky that there was an old beggar watching the whole thing and immediately the bouncers left , the old beggar ran into the river and swam with the whole of his heart despite his frail aging body to go save Xander.

After a few minutes of intense struggling and swimming, the man dragged Xander’s stron, wet and soaked body out of the river. The old man performed CPR on Xander till he coughed out the water in his throatand opened his eyes.

“Where am I?” Asked Xander looking around the dirty surroundings with confusion before his eyes. settled on the old man.

“Some scary looking hefty men brought your body and threw it into the River and I swam to goo and saved you immediately they left” said the only man, his body is now shaking because of the cold weather and his body is wet.

Xander Kings remembered everything that happened between him and Ashton, he wished that the old man didn’t save him and he died because how is he going to face the student in school after the continuous embarrassing he witness besides he had a feeling he will get expelled since he already had 2 warning strikes and he went ahead to fight with Asthon and his wealthy yet weak friends.

“Thank you so much Sir, I will never forget your kindness and I will repay someday but as for Ashton and his friends , I will make sure they pay for everything they did to me. One day it will be my turn to be at the top and I will exert vengeance “ vowed Xander, he has no idea how he is going to make it in life but he promised himself to work hard , he has had enough of the bully and insult.

Xander looked at the poor beggar and brought out the last wet and crumbled 20 dollar note in his pocket and gave it to the old man.

“I know this is little but that’s the last money I have. Please use it to buy a warm pepper soup and take it so that you will not get sick because of the cold” said Xander to the old man offering him the money.

“Thank you , thank you . This means a lot to me young man”. Said the old beggar with tears in his eyes, that's when Xander realised that there are so many people suffering out there with no food to eat but the kids back at school flaunt thousands and millions of dollars as if it means nothing.

Xander left the beggars tent and started walking aimlessly in the cold night. His body is shivering and he badly needs to go home to change his clothes but he has no money for a taxi or Uber. In Fact he discovered that he has no coins to get on a train and the university is still far away.

“What sin have I committed in my past life to deserve this humiliation and suffering ?” Whispered Xander. The only thing he has is his ring and Karen called it a fake gemstone but Xander held onto it with the hope that the ring will lead him to his family someday.

*Ahem Ahem Ahem*

Xander started coughing loudly when the cold got too much. He doesn’t have a phone to call his friend Zion or Erik for help so he went to the nearest small bar that was still open. Xander asked for the bar's telephone and he dialed ion and Erik phone numbers but none of them picked up the phone so he decided to call 911 ,at least they will treat his cold for free he thought to himself.

“Hello , this is 911. What’s your emergency?” A ladies voice answered the call.

“My name is Xander Kings , I drowned in the river and need help and medical attention ” I said

“Where is your location and we will be right there” she said, sounding concerned over the phone. I don’t know the address of the bar so I went out and checked the neon sign board before telling the lady on the phone.

“I’m at Jack and Jill’s Bar…” before I could finish talking, the lady snapped

“Are you drunk calling me ?! This is very wrong, we only deal with emergencies. You can’t just get drunk and dial 911 to rant about your miserable life. We have a real work of saving people that are truly in danger and your drunkards are making it hard for us!“ The lady snapped before hanging up without waiting for him to explain himself , he called again but the connection failed.

Devastated and frustrated, Xander went to a small corner and started ordering alcohol without caring about how he is going to pay for it, the pain is too much for him to control it.

Xander got drunk till he passed out and the bartender had woken up the next morning.

“It’s morning already ?” Xander asked, blinking his eyes because the sunlight was already too bright and high up in the sky.

“Yes Sir and there is a woman out there waiting for you” said the bartender. It felt so odd that he was treating him with respect but Xander brushed it off, his head is badly aching from the hangover and all the emotional and physical stress from yesterday.

“What about your money , how much is it ?” Xander asked not knowing how to pay it. I will help him clean the place in exchange for payment, he thought but the reply he got shocked him.

“Oh no don’t worry about it Sir,the lady outside paid for it and she has been waiting for you to wake up because she doesn’t want to disturb your sleep.You seem tired and you were snoring really loudly” said the bartender.

Xander was confused and curious about the woman waiting for him so Xander thanked the bartender and went out to see the woman that had been looking for him. He doesn’t know any family relatives and he doesn’t have a female friend or a girlfriend. So who is this woman ? He thought on his way out.
