The rain had turned from a steady drizzle into a relentless downpour by the time Dean Anders reached the concrete overpass three blocks from the hotel.

Water soaked straight through his canvas jacket, clinging cold and heavy against his skin, but he barely felt it.

The shock had rendered him completely numb.

Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Maya standing in that hotel room, wrapped in silk, looking at him with nothing but bored disdain.

He saw Felix’s smug grin, their kiss, and the fifty-dollar bill tossed at his feet.

‘And everything you have is still nothing.’

Her words echoed in his mind, sharp like a knife twisting into his ribs.

He gripped the cold iron railing of the bridge, looking down at the blur of headlights crawling along the highway below.

He had sacrificed everything, worked back-to-back night shifts, skipped meals, swallowed his pride, just to buy her a moment of happiness.

And to her, it was all just a pathetic joke.

【Bzzzzzz—】

The unexpected noise made him snap his head up. “Huh? What was that?”

【Ding!】 A synthetic chime echoed directly inside his mind.

Dean looked around in confusion, seeing no one on the empty bridge. “Who’s there?”

【Initialization complete. Designated User: Dean Anders. Welcome to the Supreme Tycoon System】

Dean clutched his head, stunned to realize the voice was originating from within his own mind. “What the hell? Supreme Tycoon System?”

He wondered if he was finally losing his mind, but the interface responded immediately to his thoughts.

【The Supreme Tycoon System is designed to elevate the Host into the world’s ultimate elite spendthrift through luxury and dominance. Your mission is simple: leverage your wealth to provoke intense jealousy, envy, and resentment. Failure will result in System penalties.】

Dean let out a harsh, disbelieving laugh, wiping the rain and wet hair out of his face. “Is... is this actually real?”

He hesitated to trust it, but a strange surge of excitement, something he hadn’t felt in years, was already bubbling up in his chest.

【Ding! The Supreme Tycoon System is issuing start-up capital...】

【Congratulations, Host! You have successfully received $10,000,000.00 in start-up funds. Please expend the ten million dollars as soon as possible, or face System disciplinary measures.】

Dean sighed heavily, shaking his head. “Ten... ten million? Am I living in a dream world or what?”

He was soaked to the bone, broke, and completely exhausted. Suppressing the bizarre hallucination, he turned to continue his long walk toward the bus stop.

But before he could take three steps, his phone chimed.

It wasn’t his standard ringtone. It was the loud, distinct alert tone of his mobile banking app issuing an urgent high-priority notification.

Dean stopped under the dim glow of a streetlamp, pulling the phone out with numb, trembling fingers.

He tapped the glowing screen, expecting an overdrawn balance warning or an automated overdraft f*e.

The app launched, processing a brief update cycle before settling on his main screen.

Dean’s thumb froze against the glass.

The rain poured down around him, washing over the glowing screen, but the numbers didn't blur and they didn't vanish.

Seven zeroes.

Ten million dollars.

Dean dropped his hand, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird.

He wiped the screen again, refreshing the app three times, expecting an error code to pop up.

The balance remained. $10,000,314.12.

“Babe?”Dean stopped in his tracks, staring at Lori with an incredulous expression. He was totally bewildered, ‘cause under normal circumstances, Lori would barely give him the time of day. Why the sudden surge of overwhelming enthusiasm? Did she knock her head against a streetlight on her way to class? However, Dean was no fool. A single glance at Felix standing nearby with a massive bouquet and a ring box made the entire situation painfully obvious. He was being used as a human shield.Further back in the crowd, Maya’s brow furrowed tightly as her face twisted with contempt. “Dean?” she spat. “Since when did he start dating Lori?”Beside her, Mila’s expression shifted rapidly, a wave of complex anxiety washing over her.Taking in the sudden turn of events, one of Felix’s henchmen immediately stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. “Boss Felix, it looks like this broke brat hasn’t learned his lesson yet. Should we go over and break his legs?”Felix narrowed his eyes dangerously. Wat

After his lecture ended, Dean walked out of the hall and immediately noticed a massive crowd gathered in the main courtyard, buzzing with commotion. It clearly involved Lori and Felix, but with so many students jostling for a view, Dean couldn’t see what was happening in the center of the action.Scanning the area, his eyes caught Maya standing nearby, glaring at the center of the scene with a furious, bitter expression. Beside her stood Mila. The moment Dean’s gaze crossed Mila’s, he casually looked away, indifferent to whether she had already told Maya about his seven-million-dollar spending spree at Mapleland. It didn’t matter anymore. Maya was strictly in his past now, an embarrassing, foolish mistake he preferred to erase entirely.Watching Dean’s calm, detached demeanor, Mila bit her lip, debating whether to approach him. But considering they had never been friends, she had no idea how to even open a conversation.‘Should I warn him about Marcus’s brothers coming after him?’ S

The next morning, as dawn broke across Sky City, Dean rose from his sleep.Today was a scheduled lecture day at Sky University. It had been nearly two weeks since he last stepped foot on campus, and he wasn’t sure if his professors would dock points from his attendance record. Although skipping class wasn’t uncommon among students, Dean found the reason for his prolonged absence, chasing after Maya Hanson, rather embarrassing in hindsight.Regardless, today felt like the true beginning of a new life. He would no longer allow himself to be walked over or humiliated by anyone. The Supreme Tycoon System was clearly about more than just spending money ‘cause with the physical gift of Absolute Dominance, it was obvious the system was paving his way to complete authority, and the thought made him excited. He had no idea why he was chosen, but he intended to use every advantage to completely rewrite his destiny.Taking his seat in the lecture hall, Dean pulled out his textbook and began re

Inside an elegant private room at the Night Owl, the air was thick with the scent of expensive perfume and foreign liquor.Several gorgeously dressed women sat across the plush leather sofas, their revealing dresses and colorful stockings striking under the flickering lights. They exuded a mature charm, throwing flirtatious glances and teasing winks toward Marcus.Sitting off to the side, Mila looked noticeably out of her depth. Dressed in her short skirt, she couldn’t compete with the worldly charm of the women who frequented the Night Owl. To them, she was just an amateur. Marcus had only pursued her because he had grown bored of the club regulars and wanted a fresh, naive distraction.Mila knew deep down she was nothing more than a temporary trophy to Marcus, which was precisely why she had always been so bitter and envious of Maya’s steady relationship with Dean.It had been so easy to manipulate Maya. All Mila had to do was flaunt the lavish gifts, high-end dinners, and lifesty

“What are you doing?! What do you think you’re doing?!” Marcus roared, his voice cracking with rage as the guards closed in. “My name is Marcus Polland! If you dare lay a finger on me, I’ll make sure you can’t survive in Sky City!”Beside him, Mila was trembling in terror. She desperately grabbed Marcus’s arm, her eyes wide with panic. “Honey... can you ask them to stop? I’m scared! These guards look vicious!”Marcus glared at the security team, a flash of genuine fear darting through his eyes. He really didn't expect the guards to actually follow through on the manager’s command.“Mr. Polland, we apologize for the inconvenience, but our hands are tied,” the head guard said neutrally, stepping into his path. “The manager gave direct orders, and we have to comply.”“No... wait! I am Marcus Polland!” he spat, backing away. “I’m a heavyweight in this city! Are you guards blind?! How dare you mess with me?! How dare you mess with a tycoon like me?!”Mila screeched, glaring back at Dean in

Everyone in the showroom was rendered completely speechless by the shocking turn of events.‘Good lord... seven million dollars. Was it really that easy to spend that much money?!’“D-Did... did it actually clear?!” The manager stood frozen, his eyes bulging as he stared at the terminal screen.A sudden chill ran down his spine, followed by a violent wave of heart palpitations. He had come terrifyingly close to kicking out a genuine multi-millionaire, and all over an arrogant, middle-aged nightclub owner like Marcus Polland.“S-Sir, please... please hold onto your card safely,” the manager stammered, his hands trembling as he reverently handed the black card back with a nervous, overly eager smile. He couldn’t care less what Dean was wearing, ‘cause looking at him now, Dean was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.Dean nodded coolly, taking the card and slipping it back into his pocket.Beside them, Mila stood frozen in total shock, her mind completely blank, while Marcus Polla
