“Dean Anders? Is that really you?”
Dean turned toward the voice and immediately recognized the woman stepping up the grand entrance steps. It was Mila Evans, Maya Hanson’s blonde, sharp-tongued best friend. Beside her stood Marcus Polland, her wealthy, middle-aged boyfriend, holding her loosely around the waist. “Dean, what on earth are you doing here?” Mila asked, her eyes widening in disbelief as she took in his faded sportswear. “Why would someone like you be at the Mapleland Sales Center?” Mila was accompanying Marcus for a morning of house hunting, dressed to attract attention in beige stockings and a fitted slate-gray pleated skirt. She leaned into Marcus, brazenly allowing him to wrap a hand around her hips. Dean raised an eyebrow, his expression entirely unbothered. “What’s the issue? Am I not allowed to walk here? Does your family own Mapleland now?” Dean had never tolerated Mila. She was a hypocritical, status-obsessed instigator, the exact influence that had driven Maya further away from him. Surprised by his blunt response, Mila’s smile vanished into a scowl. “What is wrong with you? You’ve never dared to speak to me like that before. Are you bitter because Maya dumped you?” She was visibly taken aback. The Dean she knew was always timid, accommodating, and desperate to please. But the man standing before her now had a cold, distant look in his eyes that she had never seen. “Bitter?” Dean sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. “Not in the slightest. I’m here to look at properties and buy a house, so if you’re done blocking the entrance, step aside.” Look at properties? Marcus Polland burst into a booming, mocking laugh. “Buy a house here? Kid, I’ve heard all about you from Mila. You couldn’t even afford to buy your girlfriend a decent outfit, and you have the nerve to claim you’re buying a property in Mapleland?” Mila chuckled softly, shaking her head at what she saw as complete delusion. Marcus’s expression hardened as he pointed a finger directly at Dean’s face. “You’re clearly here to cause trouble. Security! Where the hell is Mapleland’s security?! Get this nuisance out of here immediately!” Marcus was here today to impress Mila with a lavish property purchase and spend time with her, but dealing with someone he viewed as an eyesore ruined his mood. Having heard endless stories from Mila about Maya’s broke ex-boyfriend, he felt an overwhelming urge to put the kid in his place. At his shout, a squad of Mapleland security guards hurried over. “What seems to be the problem, Boss Marcus?” the head guard asked eagerly. “Did some mouthy kid bother you? Let us handle it.” “Who’d be stupid enough to annoy Boss Marcus?” another guard chimed in. “Must have lost his mind! Trying to cause trouble for Boss Marcus in Sky City, does he not want to live here anymore?!” Seven or eight burly guards formed a tight circle, bowing deferentially toward Marcus. Marcus owned a prominent local nightclub and frequently treated the Mapleland security staff to free drinks and high-end dinners, making him a prized VIP in their eyes. Puffing his chest out at the guards’ deference, Marcus pointed directly at Dean. “It’s this pauper right here. He’s loitering around the main entrance, making ridiculous claims and ruining my house-hunting mood. Throw him out on his rear!” Dean simply rolled his eyes at the display. “Ah,” the head guard grunted, looking at Dean with undisguised contempt. “So that’s how it is. A penniless kid coming to make a scene at Mapleland. Get moving! If you make Boss Marcus lose his temper, you won’t like what happens next.” Mapleland Real Estate served the upper crust of Sky City, people who tossed around hundreds of thousands of dollars without blinking. A broke college student causing a disruption was something neither the guards nor the sales management would tolerate. “Hold it right there,” Dean said coldly, raising a single hand to check their advance. “Who said I’m here to make a scene? I came here to buy a house. Do yourselves a favor and call your general manager over. I don’t have time to waste arguing with door guards.” By now, Dean’s patience was wearing thin. He had ten million dollars sitting in his checking account so there was zero reason to cower before a nightclub owner and a few overzealous guards. Mila’s scowl deepened. “Dean, have you completely lost your mind? Do you even know where you’re standing?! This isn’t some cheap street market where you can throw a tantrum. Do you want to get beaten half to death?!” Dean met her gaze with deadpan indifference. “I’m not dying anytime soon.” Mila scoffed loudly, raising her voice so the surrounding crowd could hear. “A single bathroom in these villas costs hundreds of thousands of dollars! Just a bathroom! Are you trying to turn yourself into the biggest laughingstock in Sky City by calling the manager over?” She sighed dramatically, shaking her head. “I honestly don’t know what goes on in your head. No wonder Maya finally threw you away for Felix. You’re persistent, desperate, and completely embarrassing. No woman will ever respect a man who acts like this.” In her mind, Dean couldn’t even afford the square footage of a Mapleland utility closet, let alone summon the sales manager to buy a villa. “And who gave you the authority to question my decisions?” Dean countered, his tone turning dangerously quiet. “Do I look like a child who needs your permission to spend my own money? Why on earth would I need advice from you?” Ignoring her completely, Dean turned toward the main sales floor and called out sharply, “Where is the manager for the Sky City Landscape Villa division?! Step out, I’m purchasing a property today, cash in full!” “Who?! Who is paying in full?!” Dean’s voice echoed clearly across the marble showroom floor, startling a sharp-suited middle-aged man standing near the VIP offices. In a high-end development like Landscape Villa, anyone claiming they were ready to skip a mortgage and pay the full balance up front was a client no manager could afford to ignore.Latest Chapter
Chapter 12
“Babe?”Dean stopped in his tracks, staring at Lori with an incredulous expression. He was totally bewildered, ‘cause under normal circumstances, Lori would barely give him the time of day. Why the sudden surge of overwhelming enthusiasm? Did she knock her head against a streetlight on her way to class? However, Dean was no fool. A single glance at Felix standing nearby with a massive bouquet and a ring box made the entire situation painfully obvious. He was being used as a human shield.Further back in the crowd, Maya’s brow furrowed tightly as her face twisted with contempt. “Dean?” she spat. “Since when did he start dating Lori?”Beside her, Mila’s expression shifted rapidly, a wave of complex anxiety washing over her.Taking in the sudden turn of events, one of Felix’s henchmen immediately stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. “Boss Felix, it looks like this broke brat hasn’t learned his lesson yet. Should we go over and break his legs?”Felix narrowed his eyes dangerously. Wat
Chapter 11
After his lecture ended, Dean walked out of the hall and immediately noticed a massive crowd gathered in the main courtyard, buzzing with commotion. It clearly involved Lori and Felix, but with so many students jostling for a view, Dean couldn’t see what was happening in the center of the action.Scanning the area, his eyes caught Maya standing nearby, glaring at the center of the scene with a furious, bitter expression. Beside her stood Mila. The moment Dean’s gaze crossed Mila’s, he casually looked away, indifferent to whether she had already told Maya about his seven-million-dollar spending spree at Mapleland. It didn’t matter anymore. Maya was strictly in his past now, an embarrassing, foolish mistake he preferred to erase entirely.Watching Dean’s calm, detached demeanor, Mila bit her lip, debating whether to approach him. But considering they had never been friends, she had no idea how to even open a conversation.‘Should I warn him about Marcus’s brothers coming after him?’ S
Chapter 10
The next morning, as dawn broke across Sky City, Dean rose from his sleep.Today was a scheduled lecture day at Sky University. It had been nearly two weeks since he last stepped foot on campus, and he wasn’t sure if his professors would dock points from his attendance record. Although skipping class wasn’t uncommon among students, Dean found the reason for his prolonged absence, chasing after Maya Hanson, rather embarrassing in hindsight.Regardless, today felt like the true beginning of a new life. He would no longer allow himself to be walked over or humiliated by anyone. The Supreme Tycoon System was clearly about more than just spending money ‘cause with the physical gift of Absolute Dominance, it was obvious the system was paving his way to complete authority, and the thought made him excited. He had no idea why he was chosen, but he intended to use every advantage to completely rewrite his destiny.Taking his seat in the lecture hall, Dean pulled out his textbook and began re

Inside an elegant private room at the Night Owl, the air was thick with the scent of expensive perfume and foreign liquor.Several gorgeously dressed women sat across the plush leather sofas, their revealing dresses and colorful stockings striking under the flickering lights. They exuded a mature charm, throwing flirtatious glances and teasing winks toward Marcus.Sitting off to the side, Mila looked noticeably out of her depth. Dressed in her short skirt, she couldn’t compete with the worldly charm of the women who frequented the Night Owl. To them, she was just an amateur. Marcus had only pursued her because he had grown bored of the club regulars and wanted a fresh, naive distraction.Mila knew deep down she was nothing more than a temporary trophy to Marcus, which was precisely why she had always been so bitter and envious of Maya’s steady relationship with Dean.It had been so easy to manipulate Maya. All Mila had to do was flaunt the lavish gifts, high-end dinners, and lifesty

“What are you doing?! What do you think you’re doing?!” Marcus roared, his voice cracking with rage as the guards closed in. “My name is Marcus Polland! If you dare lay a finger on me, I’ll make sure you can’t survive in Sky City!”Beside him, Mila was trembling in terror. She desperately grabbed Marcus’s arm, her eyes wide with panic. “Honey... can you ask them to stop? I’m scared! These guards look vicious!”Marcus glared at the security team, a flash of genuine fear darting through his eyes. He really didn't expect the guards to actually follow through on the manager’s command.“Mr. Polland, we apologize for the inconvenience, but our hands are tied,” the head guard said neutrally, stepping into his path. “The manager gave direct orders, and we have to comply.”“No... wait! I am Marcus Polland!” he spat, backing away. “I’m a heavyweight in this city! Are you guards blind?! How dare you mess with me?! How dare you mess with a tycoon like me?!”Mila screeched, glaring back at Dean in

Everyone in the showroom was rendered completely speechless by the shocking turn of events.‘Good lord... seven million dollars. Was it really that easy to spend that much money?!’“D-Did... did it actually clear?!” The manager stood frozen, his eyes bulging as he stared at the terminal screen.A sudden chill ran down his spine, followed by a violent wave of heart palpitations. He had come terrifyingly close to kicking out a genuine multi-millionaire, and all over an arrogant, middle-aged nightclub owner like Marcus Polland.“S-Sir, please... please hold onto your card safely,” the manager stammered, his hands trembling as he reverently handed the black card back with a nervous, overly eager smile. He couldn’t care less what Dean was wearing, ‘cause looking at him now, Dean was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.Dean nodded coolly, taking the card and slipping it back into his pocket.Beside them, Mila stood frozen in total shock, her mind completely blank, while Marcus Polla
