Smith choked up and asked, “Can he still wake up?”

The doctor said, “The dose of the sedation that we had injected him with is very small. If there is nothing unexpected, he should be waking up in another hour or so. Your family can go in to accompany him and spend time with him.”

Smith nodded with flushed red eyes. The doctor patted his shoulder and said comfortingly, “You can go in now. I won't bother your family here any longer. Just press the call bell if there’s anything, and I will come over immediately.”

“Okay.”
