The rumor that Arabella had slept around spread, earning her scorn.

Meanwhile, Spencer had arrived at one of the most famous boxing venues in the USA. It was a place where top professional boxers trained and fought.

When he entered, an R&B track thumped, announcing Spencer and his bodyguards. All eyes fixed on him.

“You finally came.” Owen, the arena owner, greeted him. His smile was so wide it almost reached his eyes.

“I came to fight one of the God of War’s men,” Spencer declared, chin lifted.

“I know. Abner called me.”

“Has my opponent arrived?” Spencer scanned the room coldly.

“He’s right behind you.”

Spencer turned instinctively when he heard the voice. “You?” He was a bit stunned. “Did Abner send the wrong person?” Spencer taunted.

“Why? Are you scared?” Thayer replied coolly. His eyes smoldered with hatred.

“Scared?” Spencer’s laugh echoed. “What would I be afraid of facing a low-ranked soldier like you?”

Spencer stripped off his expensive tuxedo, revealing the taut muscles under his shirt.

“Let’s fight. I can’t wait to break your neck.” Spencer cracked his knuckles and sneered arrogantly.

“Too bad — I’m the one who’ll kill you first.”

“Let’s see about that. If I lose, I’ll give you one million dollars. But if you lose, you must divorce Arabella,” Spencer demanded confidently. “I’m sure you already know what we did in my apartment. She was delicious.”

“Bastard!” Thayer’s anger exploded. “How dare you trap her! I swear I’ll cut out your tongue if you don’t bow and admit your wrongdoing to Arabella!”

“Wrongdoing?” Thayer laughed darkly. “I did nothing wrong, dude. Arabella seduced me to sleep with her so she could get a job in my company—”

Bugh!

Spencer was hurled back, crashing into people nearby. His nose broke, blood pouring out.

“What did you do?!” Owen shouted. “You cheated!”

“No one insults my family and lives!” Thayer lunged at Spencer with murderous intent.

But Owen and his men reacted quickly to block Thayer and protect Spencer. “You think you can hurt Spencer like that? You’ll have to get through us first!”

“Gladly.” Thayer crushed their bones with a single blow, sending them sprawling to the floor.

Spencer trembled in fear watching. “You… you can’t attack me. The fight should be in the ring.” His voice stammered. “The God of War will kill you because you cheated!”

“To hell with that!” Thayer grabbed Spencer by the collar, forced him to his feet, and punched his jaw again until he flew backward.

Thayer beat Spencer brutally, giving him no chance to fight back.

“Wait… wait a minute—” Before Spencer could finish, Thayer kept hammering him until he was battered. No one in the room dared to intervene; Thayer was too strong.

Satisfied, Thayer delivered one final blow to Spencer’s face to finish him — Spencer went unconscious. Thayer felt content seeing Spencer beaten to a pulp — bruised and covered in blood.

Owen was stunned but dared not interfere. He would die if he provoked Thayer’s wrath.

‘Who is he really?’

“If you ever dare harm my family, I swear I will kill you!”

Spencer was already out cold and could not hear Thayer.

Thayer left after saying that.

Meanwhile, Peter immediately called the Lennox family.

---

“Damn it!” Hendrix shouted. “How dare Thayer beat Spencer into a coma over a rumor!”

The Lennox family was shocked.

“As a result, the inauguration event we planned must be postponed,” Henry growled. “Including the project Spencer promised.”

“That means we also failed to meet the God of War.” Ivy was furious.

“Damn! How dare that low-ranking soldier ruin our business.” Jonas was livid.

Hendrix looked at Kane. “You know what to do!”

“Of course, Dad.” Kane acted immediately. He called the police to arrest Thayer. He even went with several officers to apprehend him at his home.

“Kane? What are you doing here?” Vivian trembled a little, excited. Had Hendrix changed his mind and decided to take them back to the mansion?

“Where is Thayer?”

“I don’t know. Why are you looking for him?”

“Don’t hide him.”

“Why would I hide him, huh?” Vivian snapped in self-defense. “If you came just to insult me, leave!”

“Arrest this nagging woman.” Kane ordered, and two officers quickly handcuffed her.

“What is this? Why are you suddenly arresting me? What did I do?” Vivian struggled.

“You’ll know soon enough. Take her.”

The officers dragged Vivian into a police car along with Theodore.

“Grandpa, Grandma!” Melody cried as she chased after them. But Kane grabbed her quickly.

“You’re coming with me now.” Kane roughly picked up the little girl and put her in his luxury car.

“Where are the policemen taking Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle?!” Melody cried.

“That’s none of your business.”

Once at the mansion, Kane handed Melody to Hendrix.

“I couldn’t find Thayer. He must be hiding. But he won’t be able to hide long once he realizes Melody is with us. We can use the child to lure him out,” Kane reported.

“Actually what is going on, Grandpa? Why are Grandpa Theo and Grandma Vivian arrested? What did they do wrong?” Melody sobbed.

“They deserve it. It’s all your father’s fault. Your father assaulted someone and now they had to be jailed,” Hendrix snapped.

Melody was shocked and shook her head hard. “My father isn’t a bad person.”

“But that’s the reality!” Hendrix yelled, losing patience.

Melody fell silent, frightened.

Meanwhile, Thayer returned home and found Arabella crying.

“What’s wrong, dear?”

“Melody and my parents suddenly disappeared. I called them, but their phones are still at home. The door was open when I came back. I think they were kidnapped by robbers.”

Thayer growled angrily, then immediately called Abner and ordered him to track down his daughter and in-laws.

“I already called my friend. He’ll look for them. Calm down; they’ll be found soon.”

“Is your friend reliable?”

“Of course.”

“What a joke.” Kane suddenly appeared out of nowhere. “Thayer’s friend can’t possibly track down your parents.”

“Uncle? Why are you here?”

“Your parents are in jail,” Kane answered tersely.

Arabella went pale. Tears streamed down her face. “What did they do wrong?”

Kane gave Thayer a sneering glance. “Ask your thug husband that.”

Arabella looked at Thayer with tearful eyes. “What happened? What did you do?”

“Thayer hurt Spencer until he went into a coma. Now the police had to arrest your parents for trying to hide Thayer’s crime.”

Arabella was stunned. “Is that true?” She stared at her husband in disappointment.

“It’s true,” Thayer said loudly, without shame.

“Why did you do it?” Arabella cried in disbelief.

“I did it to teach Spencer a lesson for smearing your name.”

“Don’t you know who Spencer is?” Kane snapped, irritated that Thayer showed no remorse or fear.

“I don’t care. He deserved it.”

“Now the police are here to arrest you, Thayer.”

Behind Kane, several officers emerged and handcuffed Thayer and Arabella.

“Release Arabella. She’s innocent.”

“She’s also arrested for spreading false news. You think Spencer would flirt with your wife. You’ve also ruined the Lennox family’s important event. Now you and your wife must face the consequences!”

Arabella and Thayer were dragged toward the police car.

At the police station, they were placed in a dark interrogation room with their hands cuffed.

“This is all your fault! Since you came, our lives have fallen apart!” Vivian cried.

“You don’t have to worry, Mom. We’ll be free soon,” Thayer promised.

Thayer touched Stella’s trembling shoulder. “Don’t worry. I was your grandfather’s soldier. I was with him when he took his last breath.”Stella’s eyes widened. Tears streamed down her face. She missed her grandfather so much. If Morris were still alive, his family, the Colsons, would never dare to kick her out.“It’s late. You should go home. I’ll take you there.” Thayer guided Stella to a taxi and escorted her to her apartment.Thayer froze at the sight of Stella’s shabby apartment, even though Morris had left a massive inheritance for his children, grandchildren, and in-laws.“You’re right. I am the granddaughter of former General Morris Colson,” Stella admitted as they arrived at her apartment door. She lowered her head sadly, remembering the beautiful moments with her grandfather.“I know General Morris left a lot behind. Why are you living in this rundown apartment?”“My family seized all of Grandfather’s wealth, leaving nothing for me or my own family,” Stella explained. “That’

Abner entered the mansion sales agency. Everyone bowed respectfully as he passed by.“Can I help you, Sir?” The blonde woman smiled politely at Abner, purposely unbuttoning the top of her shirt to show off her cleavage.“I want to buy a mansion,” Abner said flatly, completely uninterested in her attempt to seduce him.The woman quickly showed him several mansion photos. “All of these are located in strategic, private, and beautiful areas.”Abner glanced at them, took a few pictures, and sent them to Thayer.[Buy the most expensive one. It has more advantages.]“So, which one do you want, Sir?”“I’ll take this one.” Abner pulled out Thayer’s black card and handed it over. The metallic clink made the woman’s eyes light up. If Abner was this rich, the General must be even wealthier.“I’ll take you there to check the property myself,” the woman offered eagerly.“That won’t be necessary. The owner will come to see it personally later.”“You mean…” Katy hesitated.“Yes. The General will com
