Nighttime.
After making sure Zeeva was sound asleep on the sofa, Zane climbed out of bed and crawled toward her. Conveniently for him, she was completely drunk.
His eyes lingered on the bandage across her forehead and the bruise staining her flawless cheek.
That old bastard… If I were fully healed, I’d beat him until he couldn’t move.
He gently brushed her hair away from her face, his gaze falling on her lips—full and irresistibly tempting. His heart immediately pounded, racing faster than a speeding car.
For the first time in his entire life, he was about to kiss a woman. Not even with Lucy—she had rejected him every single time.
Please… don’t wake up.
Holding his breath, Zane closed his eyes and leaned closer.
Smack.
He slowly opened his eyes, almost afraid to look and saw that Zeeva was still asleep.
I did it! I actually kissed her! A triumphant smile curved his lips.
But suddenly, Zeeva stirred uneasily, as if sensing the kiss she had just received. Panic shot through Zane. He quickly pulled back and rushed toward the bed before she could wake up and kill him.
“Did you just kiss me… darling?”
I’m doomed.
Before Zane could retreat, he froze. She had caught him.
Zeeva grabbed his arm and yanked him into her embrace, forcing him to topple onto the couch as she straddled him.
“What… what are you doing?” Zane stammered, his voice shaking.
Zeeva gave a sweet smile. “I missed you so much, darling.” She began unbuttoning his pajama shirt.
“Stop.” Zane’s voice was panicked, yet he didn’t resist her touch. The truth was, he wanted something mor, far beyond a simple kiss.
After all, he was a man. Who wouldn’t be tempted when a stunning woman was sitting on top of him, drunk and vulnerable? On top of that, he wanted to prove to Lucy that he could have someone far more beautiful than her.
“No!” He suddenly shoved Zeeva off, bolting out the door and locking it behind him. “Damn it!” He raked his fingers through his hair in frustration, then slumped against the wall outside. “I’ve gone insane… I almost took advantage of her.”
He couldn’t allow his frustration to turn into something unforgivable.
My legs?
That’s when Zane realized—he was standing. Tentatively, he bounced on his feet—then took a few steps. He could move freely.
[Mission Completed]
[Congratulations! Reward Granted]
“I can’t believe… this system is real.”
A wicked grin spread across Zane’s face. Now… I can finally get my revenge.
***
Morning.
“How the hell are you walking?!” Zeeva’s shocked voice echoed through the apartment.
“I... I practiced all night,” Zane replied with an awkward smile. It sounded ridiculous even to him.
“Impossible! But the doctor said—”
“Doctors aren’t God,” Zane cut her off sharply, silencing her. The last thing he needed was for her to start asking questions. “I have to go.”
“Go where?”
“Away from your life, of course.”
Zeeva froze.
“Thank you… for everything.” He gave her one last sincere smile before turning away.
“Wait. Take this…”
“What is it?”
“Money.”
“I don’t need it.”
“I know you’re broke. Just take it.”
Zane pushed the brown envelope back into her hands. “Your mother needs it more than I do.”
Zeeva stood there, stunned.
“Goodbye. Take care of yourself. If you ever need help, call me. Consider it my way of saying thanks.” Zane waved briefly before walking away.
The truth was, he made that offer because he had stolen a kiss from her… and she had healed him.
[New Mission Available: Propose to an Actress]
[Reward: $100,000,000,000]
“What?!” Zane almost screamed.
“What happened?!” Zeeva rushed after him as he reached the door, alarmed by his sudden outburst.
Zane stared at the glowing numbers in disbelief.
“Are you okay?” she asked, brows knitted.
“This… this can’t be real.” He clutched his head, a wave of panic crashing over him. “There’s no way I can complete this mission.”
“What mission?” Zeeva asked, frowning.
“I have to go!” Ignoring her, Zane stormed out of the apartment, too shocked to stay any longer.
When he finally reached his dingy apartment, he exploded. “Are you trying to kill me?! Why would you give me such an impossible mission? Do you want to humiliate me?!”
[Just do it. Fail, and you lose the system—and all the rewards you’ve received—forever.]
“Tsk! But how the hell am I supposed to get Zeeva to accept my proposal?!” Zane groaned in despair.
[Figure it out yourself.]
“Damn it!”
Kissing her had already taken every ounce of courage he had. And now… marry her?
Grabbing his head, he felt like it was about to explode. “I’m screwed! What am I supposed to do now? It’s impossible to make her fall for me. I’m broke and ugly. We’re worlds apart.”
Yet the reward was too tempting to ignore. All he had to do was propose to a famous actress—and he’d become richer than any billionaire.
An idea sparked in Zane’s mind. His hands clenched into fists, determination blazing in his eyes.
I hope this work.

Chapter 224
Zane drove his taxi across the long suspension bridge leading toward the glittering financial district, the steel cables humming faintly in the afternoon wind. Below, the river reflected the city lights like shards of broken glass. His final target was no ordinary businessman, but Silas Vane, CEO of Global Trust Bank. Silas was the “treasurer” behind the scenes who managed The Hell Corp’s massive cash flow, ensuring their funds flowed smoothly across borders without raising suspicion. If Silas switched sides, The Hell Corp would be paralyzed overnight, as all their assets would be frozen and their expansion plans would crumble instantly. However, Silas was a very cunning man. He worshipped only one thing: the numbers on his account balance. Loyalty meant nothing to him if it didn’t multiply his wealth. He was known in elite circles as a man who could sell his own shadow if the price was right.Zane arrived at Silas’s private penthouse at the top of a towering skyscraper. The building’

Zane stared at his phone screen with a sharp gaze. It was a message from his employee.“Sir, Dixon has just signed a partnership with The Hell Corp. He has invited the entire media to celebrate the ‘collapse’ of Chrizen Corp’s dominance this afternoon.”Zane let out an irritated snort. Dixon. The very mention of his name infuriated him. He was Louis’ friend. Beside him stood Hansel from
Chapter 222
Zane drove his taxi to the upscale northern district, where Vancamp Corp.’s skyscraper stood proudly with its sharp, futuristic architecture—much like the personality of its owner, Elena Vancamp.Elena was known as the “Ice Queen” of the business world. She cared nothing for drama, had no regard for old connections, and most terrifyingly, she harbored a fierce hatred for men she perceived as weak.In the main lobby, Zane was confronted by four burly security guards.“Taxi drivers are not allowed in the executive elevator area,” one of them said condescendingly.Zane did not respond angrily. He simply held up his phone, displaying a gold-colored digital code—private access granted only to the highest-ranking partners of Chrizen Corp.“Tell Elena that Christopher’s envoy is here to see her,” Zane said coldly.“Understood,” the guard replied.Moments later, the office door opened, revealing a spacious room with a breathtaking view of the city skyline. Elena sat behind a large glass desk,

Zane exited the elevator with a relaxed expression. He felt calm after acquiring the Sales Professional attribute. It made completing missions significantly easier. However, as soon as he stepped into the lobby, he was met with a crowd of reporters and men in black uniforms filling the entire space. At the center stood Hansel, the vice-CEO of The Hell Corp, arrogantly answering questions from the press.Hansel’s attention quickly shifted to Zane. He looked him up and down before grinning sarcastically.“Are you here to betray Christopher now, or did he send you to beg Jaden?” Hansel sneered. All the cameras immediately turned toward Zane, but he remained completely unfazed.“Poor Christopher. His office exploded. Is he now sending his assistant to beg Jaden Wyatt?” Hansel added mockingly. The reporters laughed along with him. Camera flashes burst directly in Zane’s face.“Listen, Zane,” Hansel said as he stepped forward. He deliberately pulled out a $100 bill and dropped it on the flo

So just give up.]Zane tightened his grip on his phone. His teeth clenched. It seemed that the owner of The Hell was watching his every move.“Bastard,” Zane muttered under his breath. He was extremely curious about the arrogant owner of The Hell, but he didn’t have time to investigate. He had to secure all his partners. The name Jaden Wyatt crossed his mind.Thirty minutes later, Zane arrived at Wyatt Corp’s headquarters. Without an appointment, he stormed inside, ignoring the secretary who was calling after him hysterically, and kicked open the door to Jaden’s office.Jaden Wyatt stood by the large window with his back to the door. Zane jogged after Avery, who was just about to enter her luxury sedan in the grand marble lobby. The polished floor reflected the glittering chandelier above, and the faint scent of expensive perfume lingered in the air.is steps felt lighter than before, almost effortless, and a strange aura seemed to emanate from his every movement—the subtle yet undeniable effect of the Sales Professional skill he had just acquired.“Avery, wait!” Zane called out, his voice firm but controlled.Avery stopped mid-step, one hand already resting on the car door handle. She inhaled sharply, her shoulders rising and falling as she fought her irritation. When she turned around, her face was visibly annoyed, her red satin dress shimmering under the lobby lights. “Zane, I told you, my decision is final. Don’t make yourself look even more pathetic.”Zane didn’t get angry. The old him might have snapped back defensively, but now he simply smiled faintly—a calm, confident smile that somehow sent a faint shive
