Chapter 11

Jesicca frowned as her manager suddenly snapped at her after she had just answered the call. Of course, she felt even more dizzy. 

"What's going on? Why is everything messed up like this?" Her manager Dev's voice came back. "Why did your account suddenly disappear? Even scandals about you have appeared on the internet. There are a lot of bad videos about you. You should have behaved yourself. What a fool." The man continued to ramble on without pausing to give Jessica time to speak. 

Jessica massaged her aching head. She was already very dizzy with the disappearance of her account. She couldn't even access her other social media accounts. And this really made her head hurt a lot. But Dev's words made her head throb even more.

Jessica held back her tears. "Why do you have to say so many bad things to me? I should be the one who is angry because I am the one who is being harmed here." Jessica replied to Dev's words before the man went back to talking. "I don't even know how my account suddenly disappeared. I have a feeling that someone is trying to hijack it." Jessica assumed for herself. 

She had a huge following. Even her name was well-known out there. She had gotten several big contracts from brands, and people might have been so jealous of her that someone had hijacked her account. 

"You're such a fool. I'm sure this is your carelessness. Even a lot of bad things about you have spread widely. And the news has been trending this." Dev continued to speak in a loud voice. 

Jessica was still massaging her head. Hoping that the massage would ease the pain in her head. She still wanted to be angry with Dev because he wasn't calling to give her a solution. He was insulting her. 

"Shut up!" Jessica snapped. She had had enough of her manager's remarks. "As a manager, you should be able to help me get my account back. Instead of talking a lot of nonsense like this." Jessica was assertive. If she had seen him before her, she would have pushed him away and punched him in the mouth for daring to speak unkindly to her. 

"But because of all of you, our company suffered a huge loss. There are many advertisers who have withdrawn from working with us. Do you know how much we're losing right now? And all because of your scandal." Dev said again very loudly. There was even a loud banging on the table. 

At this moment, Dev thought of something. "Wait, this usually never happens before. Did you offend someone big this time? Or are you in conflict with someone?" Dev's question seemed to urge her. 

Hearing the question from Dev made Jessica look at Joshua sitting in a chair not far from her. The man still looked very calm. For now, Jessica just had a problem with Joshua, but it was doubtful that Joshua was the big man that Dev said. 

Jessica's gaze flicked up and down to stare at Dev's unremarkable appearance. He even ate at a simple café that the big guys wouldn't do. She clutched her head. Of course, even though he had threatened her, Jessica wasn't sure if it was all Joshua's doing. But she was sure that all of this was just a coincidence. 

"I'm pretty sure it can't be because that guy seems so ordinary." Jessica muttered in her heart. Then she looked away from Joshua before he would glance at her. 

"I'm pretty sure that you did offend someone. You are that kind of woman." Dev was angry with her again. "You have to apologize to that person or this problem will only get bigger." Dev emphasized. 

There was no answer from Jessica, but Dev spoke again, "I don't want to know. You have to apologize immediately, or you will be completely ruined." After stating that, Dev immediately turned off the phone call.

"Shit!" Jessica cursed when she didn't have time to give Dev an answer. But now she looked terrified. She was squeezing her own fingers while her eyes were fixed on Joshua. 

Jessica got up from where she was. She walked over to Joshua and stood right next to his body. While the man gave her a glance, he ignored Jessica, who was beside him. 

"Is all this because of you?" Jessica asked that with a slight bend in her body at the table. She stared at Joshua with a piercing gaze. Although in her heart, she didn't seem so sure if all of this was because of Joshua.

Meanwhile, Jeff seemed confused by what Jessica was doing. "What did she do?" Jeff spoke softly and looked at Jessica with a frown. He felt confused as to why Jessica was questioning Joshua. Even Jeff couldn't believe it was all the young man's doing. 

Joshua looked at her with cold eyes. "Aren't you underestimating me?" Joshua grinned faintly. He looked away and spoke, "You've been giving me a lot of insults and talking as if you were the most powerful woman in the world." Joshua said that very calmly. But every word that came out of his mouth seemed to emphasize Jessica.

Suddenly, Jessica, who heard it, widened her eyes. So this was really all that guy's doing? She didn't even know what Joshua had done. She remembered that Joshua had contacted someone by name, and after a few minutes, her account had disappeared. 

Jessica swallowed her own saliva with apparent difficulty. She looked at Joshua nervously and said, "Please don't lose my account. We can talk this through." Jessica looked at him in panic. She had no idea that Joshua was the one who had lost her account so easily. 

Joshua gave her a cold stare. "It's too late. And you'll have nothing left until after this, you'll be banished immediately." Joshua's words scared Jessica even more. Then he said, "Your career is over."  Joshua gave an affirmation.

Jessica was even more scared. She immediately put her hands together in front of Joshua and said, "Please, give me back my account." Jessica knew this would be difficult for Joshua to grant, so she immediately prostrated at Joshua's feet. "I will do anything for you. I'll even learn better not to do stupid things like that." Jessica looked up. She even hesitantly touched Joshua's feet, hoping that this would melt Joshua a little. 

"It's too late. I don't need this anymore." Joshua shifted his feet until Jessica's grip slipped from his hand. "You'd better leave this place right now."

Jessica has yet to get up from under Joshua's feet. In fact, she lowered her head even more. She did all that to get her position back again. Of course, Jessica didn't want to lose that fame instantly. 

Meanwhile, Amy approached Joshua. She spoke, "I know you are a good man, so let him get another chance." Amy persuaded Joshua a little.

Joshua exhaled his breath. He thought a little about Amy's words. Then Joshua's gaze went back to Jessica, and he said, "Well, I'll give you a chance, but you have to apologize to the cafe owner." Joshua said that firmly. 

Jessica looked at Amy and James. She had not done this before but had to do something very low to get her account back. 

Jessica nodded her head. She quickly got up from under Joshua's feet and grabbed her two friends' hands. "We must apologize immediately."  Jessica gave the order to her two friends. 

By now, the three were facing each other with James and Amy. Then there was Jessica saying, "I'm sorry." Jessica said it very flatly. But it was not enough to make Joshua feel satisfied. 

"Do it right," Joshua emphasized that to them. They immediately bent down and prostrated themselves at Amy and James' feet. 

"Sir, please forgive us. I really regret what I've done here." Jessica also put her hands together in front of her chest. She showed a pitiable face to draw sympathy from the two. 

"I have forgiven you. And everything will be fine." Amy gave a soft reply. 

The three left immediately after getting Amy and James' apologies before Joshua would do anything to them. In fact, they left at a fast pace and looked very scared to see Joshua. 

Meanwhile, Joshua walked up to Amy and James as the three left. Then Joshua said, "Why did you forgive those people so easily?" Joshua asked that with a cold look in his eyes. Then he said again, "You should be able to make them suffer more and I can do it for you."
