CHAPTER 102 - SHOPPING FOR DATE
The moment the mansion agent drove away, Dylan stood at the entrance of Lakeheights Mansion with the keys resting between his fingers, staring at the enormous building before him with an expression that was difficult to hide. Dylan had barely driven a few minutes away from the dealership when his phone began ringing through the McLaren's Bluetooth system.He glanced at the screen displayed on the dashboard.The call was from an unknown number.Dylan hesitated briefly before answering through the steering controls."Hello?""Good afternoon. Am I speaking with Mr. Dylan Kingston?""Yes.""My name is Sophia Bennett. I'm the property representative assigned to Lakeheights Mansion."Dylan's eyebrows rose.So the agent had finally contacted him."I was actually on my way there."There was a brief pause on the other end."You're already heading there?""Yes. I'm free now, so I thought I'd go and inspect the property.""That's perfect, Mr. Kingston. I was actually calling to arrange the handover. By the time Dylan's final lecture ended, the clock had already passed midday, and the stream of students leaving the lecture hall immediately began dispersing across the university grounds.Dylan slipped his phone into his pocket and stepped outside, but unlike most of the students heading toward the cafeteria or their hostels, he had something else on his mind.The morning's system reward had left him with several things to take care of.He needed to claim his new car.He also needed to visit Lakeheights Mansion and see exactly what kind of property the system had given him.For the moment, however, the car came first.Since he had not returned to his hostel after leaving for class, his school bag was still hanging from his shoulder, and Dylan had no intention of wasting time going back simply to drop it off.
