“Dad... wake up...”

A little boy’s trembling voice echoed in Elias’s ears. The child was crying uncontrollably, his fear raw and desperate.

Before Elias could find the source of the voice, his vision was violently pulled away.

A living room appeared before him.

Daniel Suryanata sat collapsed on the floor, clutching his hair with both hands as though an invisible weight was crushing his chest. His breathing came in ragged gasps. Across from him, Melissa held their sobbing son tightly.

“Dad... we're not leaving our home, are we?”

Daniel raised his head, His lips moved, No words came out.

Bang!

The front door swung open, Several officers stepped inside carrying folders marked with the seal of the Attorney General's Office.

“Mr. Daniel Suryanata.”

“We are here to deliver the temporary

asset seizure order during the ongoing investigation.”

Daniel stared blankly ahead, It was as if he had lost the ability to hear. Outside the mansion, Luxury cars were being loaded onto tow trucks one after another. Neighbors gathered outside the gates Their respectful gazes had disappeared.

Only curiosity, And contempt remained Melissa rushed toward one of the officers.

“Please!”

“My son's education!”

“Our health insurance!”

“All of our accounts have been frozen! We can't even withdraw money for daily necessities!”

The officer lowered his head apologetically “I'm sorry, ma'am.”

“All accounts connected to the investigation will remain frozen until further notice.”

The words struck like a judge's gavel, Melissa slowly sank to her knees. Their son cried even harder, Daniel...

Remaining frozen, For the first time in his life, He truly understood what it meant to lose everything, But the vision was not over. It shifted again, An elderly man stood before a piece of farmland. His hands trembled as he received the land certificate that had been stolen from him decades ago, Tears streamed down his face.

“Thank God...”

“This was my late wife's inheritance...”

The scene changed, A former employee embraced his wife tightly, His name had been cleared, His rights had been restored, His children would no longer live as the family of a thief.

Another vision, A young woman cried in her mother's arms. The position stolen from her through false accusations had finally been returned.

One...

Two...

Three...

Seven faces appeared one after another, Elias didn't know their names, but he understood. These were the people who had spent years paying the price for Daniel's greed. Tonight Balance was finally being restored.

Bang!

The Book of Debts slammed shut, Elias jolted awake. His breathing turned ragged, Cold sweat rolled down his temples. Only seconds had passed, Yet the visions had felt completely real, Slowly The black book opened once more. Only one page remained, Daniel Suryanata's page.

The crimson words covering it gradually faded away.

Then disappeared.

Three new lines appeared.

Debtor: Daniel Suryanata

Status: PAID

Moral Debt: Fully Settled

Elias stared silently, It was over. His first audit had truly ended. Footsteps echoed through the library, He didn't need to turn around, He already knew who it was.

“Congratulations.” The Keeper's calm voice broke the silence.

“Your first debtor has settled every moral debt.”

Elias finally looked up.

“The visions...”

“Were they real?”

The Keeper nodded.

“They were never illusions.”

“They were proof.”

“Proof that balance has been restored.”

Before Elias could ask another question, The Book of Debts trembled, New words appeared beneath Daniel's record. Commission F*e Successfully Processed

Then another line, 12 SIN

Elias frowned.

“SIN?”

The Keeper smiled faintly “That is your first commission as an Auditor.”

Elias stared at the words for a long moment, 12 SIN.

“That isn't money.”

The Keeper answered before Elias could ask “No.”

“Then what is it?”

“Turn to the next page.”

The Book trembled softly, The blank page unfolded. A dark circle slowly expanded until it transformed into a glowing interface.

AUDITOR EXCHANGE

Auditor: Elias Pratama

Balance: 12 SIN

Auditor Rights

Starting Capital Special Access Information Locked...

“An exchange?”

“Not a store.”

The Keeper answered.

“It is where an Auditor spends SIN.”

“There isn't anything here.”

“Because you don't need anything yet.”

Elias frowned.

“What does that mean?”

“The Book never gives you what you want.”

“It only grants what you need.”

Silence filled the room.

“Every SIN has value,” the Keeper continued “But its value is never fixed.”

“For someone starving...”

“One SIN may become a meal.”

“For someone who has lost a career...”

“One SIN may become an opportunity.”

“For an Auditor...”

“SIN is the resource that allows the work to continue.”

Understanding slowly dawned on Elias, SIN wasn't currency. It was potential.

“Can I use it now?”

“You can.”

“But don't.”

“Why?”

“It is your first commission.”

“Every SIN is earned at an extraordinary price.”

The Keeper pointed toward Daniel's completed page.“One man lost everything he built.”

“Seven victims regained their lives.”

“And you...”

“Received twelve SIN.”

“Do you think that's cheap?”

Elias remained silent, No. Those twelve SIN had been purchased through the collapse of an entire life.

“Use them only when absolutely necessary,” the Keeper said quietly.

“The greater the exchange...”

“The greater the responsibility that follows.”

The Book suddenly closed.

Bang!

Its silver scale emblem glowed softly.

“The Book is resting,” said the Keeper.

“Resting?”

“Every completed audit grants you time.”

“Time to rebuild your own life.”

“But don't misunderstand.”

“A pause...”

“Does not mean your duty has ended.”

The Keeper stepped closer.

“Daniel was only your first debtor.”

“As long as people continue building their happiness upon another person's suffering...”

“The Book of Debts will continue choosing names.”

“And if I refuse?”

The Keeper smiled “Can you still ask that question?”

Elias lowered his eyes, He already knew the answer, Since accepting the Book That choice no longer belonged to him.

“What you may choose,” the Keeper said,

“Is how you live between each audit.”

Three days later...

The city carried on as though nothing had happened, People rushed to work, They laughed, Complained, Lived, None of them knew that one man's life had changed forever. Elias stood beneath the afternoon sky. The heavy clouds had finally begun to part, warm sunlight spilled between the skyscrapers. It had been a long time since warmth felt this comforting.

He started walking, His steps were light.

Not because his problems had disappeared, because they had only just begun. He still had to clear his name, Find the mastermind behind the conspiracy. And reclaim everything stolen from him.

But this time he would no longer walk as a victim. Several meters ahead A black luxury sedan stopped outside a café.

A well-dressed man stepped out and opened the passenger door, A graceful woman emerged, Her long hair flowed gently in the wind. A cream-colored dress swayed softly.

Clara.

Elias stopped, Only for a second. His expression remained calm, No anger, No bitterness, No regret. Only the quiet acknowledgment of someone who had once belonged to his past. And Clara suddenly froze.

“E... Elias?” Her voice barely escaped.

The man beside her frowned.

“Clara?”

She couldn't answer, Her eyes remained fixed on Elias. For three days she had followed every news report about him.

His dismissal, The fraud accusations The destruction of his entire life. Every headline deepened her guilt, Now he stood before her. But what shattered her heart wasn't his appearance. It was his eyes, They were calm, Unreachable, There was no pain, No hope, No longing. As though she were nothing more than a stranger passing by.

“Elias...” she whispered.

He finally stopped, Looked at her. Then gave a small polite nod. “Hello, Clara.”

Nothing else, That simple greeting became a wall neither of them could cross. The man beside Clara stepped forward.

“Dear...”

“Who is he?”

Clara lowered her head, For the first time, She didn't know how to answer. She watched Elias disappear into the crowd, Each step carried him farther away, Only weeks ago He had spoken about buying a small house after their wedding. Now The distance between them felt immeasurable.

“Clara.” The man beside her asked again,

“Who is he?”

She bit her lip, Then quietly answered, “He... was my fiancé.”

The man stared in shock.

“Your fiancé?”

“Not anymore...”

“We never had the chance to officially end it.”

Silence fell, Meanwhile Elias's phone vibrated, An unknown number.

He answered.

“Hello.”

An older man's voice came through.

“Is this Elias Pratama?”

“Yes.”

“Thank goodness.”

“I've finally reached you.”

“Who is this?”

“My name is Arman.”

“Your father and I were once business partners.”

Elias stopped walking “I heard what happened.”

“And I don't believe for a second that you stole company funds.”

His heartbeat quickened, For the first time since everything collapsed, Someone believed him.

“I'd like to meet you.”

“Not over the phone.”

“If you have time...”

“Come see me tomorrow morning.”

“Where?”

Arman gave him an address, Before ending the call, he spoke softly. “Your father once helped me when everyone else abandoned me.”

“I never had the chance to repay that kindness.”

“If you'll allow me...”

“Let me help you stand again.”

The call ended.

Elias stared at the dark screen for several seconds, The afternoon breeze returned, A faint smile finally appeared on his face. Perhaps, For the first time since his world had fallen apart. Fate had opened a new path.  And Inside his bag The Book of Debts trembled ever so slightly. As if it already knew, The true journey of the Divine Auditor had only just begun.

It was six in the morning, Elias had not slept. Since the previous night, the final warning from the Book of Debts had been turning over and over in his mind. Do not trust every piece of information that has been given to you. And one name had appeared right after that message: Arman Pratama.Elias sat in his office chair, staring at his laptop screen. On the desk before him lay three things: the Book of Debts, the black folder retrieved from Warehouse 17, and an old photograph showing Hartono standing beside Arman. They felt like scattered pieces of a puzzle that had not yet found their proper place. Still, Elias refused to draw conclusions based only on a system warning. Arman had stood by him when no one else would. He had given Elias work. He had given him a chance. He had even made certain that his father’s belongings were safely delivered into Elias’s hands. If Arman was indeed hiding something… Elias needed to understand why first. He would not accuse him without proof. He clo

Rain fell as Elias left the port district. The night sky looked dark and heavy. Water streaked the windshield, while streetlights blurred into long, trembling lines of light. His hands gripped the steering wheel, but his mind was far away. The black folder he had retrieved from Warehouse Seventeen lay on the passenger seat beside him. He glanced at it several times. The golden scale emblem on the cover felt increasingly familiar — not because of its shape, but because it had appeared too many times. First in the Book of Debts, then in the black leather journal left by Hartono, and now in this folder his father had hidden away for years. Three objects. One symbol. It could not be mere coincidence. It was nearly eleven at night when Elias arrived at his apartment. The living room light was still on. He opened the door quietly and found his mother asleep on the sofa, her light blue scarf still wrapped around her neck. Elias paused guilt washed over him. He had left without saying where h

Yet one question kept weighing on him if his father had known betrayal was coming… why hadn't he stopped it long agoBack at his apartment, the living room light was still on. His mother sat on the sofa, knitting a pale blue scarf. The moment she saw him walk in, her face lit up."Have you eaten?" Elias smiled gently. "Yes, Mom." "That's a lie. I know that look on your face you haven't eaten a thing."Elias chuckled softly. "I know exactly where to go." Elias’s voice broke the silence in Arman’s study. Carefully, he refolded his father’s letter and slipped it back into the brown folder. His gaze was far steadier now than it had been only minutes before.Arman watched him closely. "Which place did Hartono mean?" Elias shook his head slowly. "Not the office. Not our home. Nor any place connected to Arunika Capital.""Then where?" Elias gave a faint, knowing smile. "The very place where Father first taught me what trust truly means." Arman fell silent for a moment. Then, as though recalling something long buried, the corners of his mouth lifted. "That old shop…" Elias nodded. "Yes. It is the one place Rafael would never think to look." One hour later A black sedan pulled up before an old street on the city’s outskirts. The buildings here still stood much as they had decades ago—faded paint, weathered wooden signs, and great, spreading trees that shaded the sidewalk, lending the whole area a warmth tha

"There is something I should have given you five years ago." Arman’s voice still echoed in Elias’s ears as the older man slid an aged brown folder across the desk toward him, in the upper right corner, written in familiar handwriting, was a name he knew all too well. Hartono Pratama. Elias’s fingers froze on the folder’s cover. His chest tightened with a feeling he could scarcely name. Since his father’s passing, nearly all of his belongings had changed hands. Some had been seized along with the family assets, others vanished entirely when Rafael took control of Arunika Capital. But this folder he had never seen it before."This belonged to Father?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.Arman nodded slowly. "Hartono entrusted it to me just a few months before he passed away." Elias looked up, a faint frown creasing his brow "Why only now?"The older man sighed deeply before leaning back in his chair. "Because it was your father’s wish."The room fell into silence."He said,
