We are doomed

Ulric's point of view

'DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!' Kept echoing in the cave as we all stood in pitch darkness. Someone was screaming from afar. What just happened?

"So guys, I will love to commend you guys for a job well done, you all took the storm by the head and I am quite surprised by some, like Andrew. Who would have thought that Andrew the great Andrew will help? That's surprising but all the same thanks for being a help in needful time," Teach Carolina said.

We were standing in front of the said cave, by the front of the door where its stones appear different from the rest of the body. I was just taken away by the pattern of the stones on the wall of the cave, it looked like it was drawn or carved by someone or some people.

"Hey!" Andrew called out to me, hitting me by the side.

"What?" I snapped, he just pulled me from my world.

"Are you even listening?" Jack asked me as I stared at a particular pattern on the wall. It was so mesmerizing, the pattern was all linked to one another.

"What are you so caught up with?" I heard Andrew say.

"Aren't you guys seeing what I'm seeing?" I asked them.

"What are you seeing that everyone is blind to?" Jack interjected.

"Aren't you guys seeing the pattern?" I asked, pointing at the cave

"How is this pattern going to help our situation?" Jack asked.

"Just listen to Teach Carolina in case whatever she says might become useful for us," Andrew commanded.

"What are you ears for?" I asked him.

"Just listen!" Jack also added.

"So guys, I have someone for you, he is the guardian of this beautiful cave and the last descendant of the Cavil and he has something to say. Let's welcome Cavil Rocil," she said and an old man appeared out of nowhere. He was dressed in some traditional way, it's supposed to be unique in a way but it gives me the creep, he looked at each and everyone of us in the eyes before saying;

"DO. NOT. TOUCH. ANYTHING!"

"I mean every letter and sound of what I just said, good luck!" He added. If you weren't looking at him you wouldn't know that it was an old man who just spoke. He appeared mysteriously, said his first statements mysteriously and has an unusual voice for an old man. Wow! Just wow!

He turned to face the wall, I heard him mumble something before touching the wall and the wall or door slide up.

"Cool!" I muttered.

"The door will stay like this throughout your stay, so don't bother trying to close the door when night falls," he added before walking away.

"I have a question," someone shouting from the west part of my side. We looked around but the man was nowhere to be found and just again, he has mysteriously disappeared. Then all eyes were on Teach Carolina.

"It's okay guys, you can definitely submit your questions to me, I know where to meet him and will relay your questions to him and get your answers to you," Teach Carolina said, taming the murmuring going on around the students. That old man was weird and so is this cave.

"You guys will do something for me, take our bags and get them inside then just look around. If you have any question for the great guardian, you can stay behind and ask me… tell me rather and I will quickly get to the great guardian and get back to you but don't touch anything like the great guardian said," Teach instructed us.

"Do you guys have a question?" I asked them as we walked towards our bags.

"Of course… I do," Jack said, smiling.

"What's that?" I asked him.

"Am I supposed to tell you or Teach Carolina?" He said, looking towards Teach Carolina, who was surrounded by four to five students. What were they asking? What is there to ask about? The old man or 'the great guardian', mimicking Teach Carolina, already said the needful which was clear like whatever is clear, glass?

"Just say it, I will help you construct it," I said to him.

"Construct it? What do you think I am? A five? Or what? I go to school, man!" Jack said, looking a bit offended by my utterance. I have a weird feeling that his question will be as senseless as Maria Joe's hairstyle.

"Whatever! Just state your question," I urged him.

"Does he have daughters? Or where does he find his babes?" He said as he picked his bag up and started walking into the cave.

"I knew it, I knew your questions would be senseless. Didn't you hear Teach Carolina call him the last descendant of the Cavil?" I said to him before taking in my surroundings.

"That doesn't mean a things dude!" I heard faintly from Jack. Something wonderful has caught my attention and I am in it's spell.

Wow! I should have known that the interior of this cave would be captivating when the pattern on the exterior was mesmerizing. A mysterious cave guarded by a mysterious guardian. There should be wonderful facts to gather about this cave.

"Hey, are you even listening?" I heard someone say, hitting me harder on the shoulder.

"Can't you call my attention without hitting me?" I snapped.

"Of course I can, only if you will listen," he resorted.

"I am listening, Jack!" I snapped unnecessarily and walked away to continue my admiration of the cave. Looking towards the very far end opposite the door was an entrance which looks like some tunnel or something.

"Where could that lead to?" I questioned myself as I felt this unusual urge to check it out.

"What the heck?" I said to myself as I snapped out of the trancelike state I was falling into. I turned back to face the entrance door and briefly saw Teach Carolina walking away.

"Where is she going to?" I asked Adam, who was standing close by staring at some unclear pictures.

"Who?" He asked mindlessly.

"Teach Carolina," I informed him.

"Weren't you listening to her?" He asked, staring at me like I just said the abominable words. But wait! Wasn't I listening? Where is my mind going to? This is unusual!

"Well, she is going to see the great guardian concerning those you have one or two questions for him and she mentioned not to leave this place or go anywhere out of curiosity, under no circumstances are we to," he explained to me while I just stood staring at the wall unable to control myself and give him a reply.

"Hey, Ulric! Hey, man! Are you here? Are you listening to me in any way?" I heard a voice said faintly after tapping me on the shoulder lightly, repeatedly.

Something is definitely wrong with this place, I had better get my bag and race out of this place. I walked hurrily towards my bag when everything changed.

There was a terrible trembling, that shocked everywhere, even to the foundation of the cave and the weather changed quickly, terribly. There was a loud horrifying thunderstorm, as I stared at the sky from my position unable to do a thing, it darkened within the brink of an eye.

Then I could see the door fasten down, we were shut down, causing a horrifying noise that scared everyone, I guess.

"What was that?" Someone yelled in the dark.

"One of the Ey girls had touched the carved picture on the wall!"

"The door, guys!"

"It's not opening!" Another yelled as it echoed continuously.

"Why won't my flashlight on?" Andrew said to no one in particular.

There was whistling in the air and everywhere became cold.

"Oh my! Oh my! Can someone please get a his or her flash on?" That was more of a command than a plead to my ears.

"Mine is not responding, it won't on," a voice said, Maya?

"Neither will mine!"

"And mine!" Sobbing.

"None is working! This weird place has sucked out all the energies of our flashlight." Lucy said. "Even my phone isn't working," she added.

"Beautiful! This should be fascinating," someone said excitedly, that should be Mia, I guess.

"Just shut up," someone shushed her quietly, that was definitely Amy!

"Did you guys feel that?" Someone alarmed, bare minute before something swept round my legs. Eww! Who told me to wear shorts? Geez!

I could feel people screaming in the background but I just wasn't in their midst. I shouldn't have…

There was light, dark light but we weren't in the beautiful cave where we were standing few minutes ago anymore but some wide field with trees… forest trees… no, the woods in front, I forcefully turned myself around to look at the mess I caused myself.

The entrance door have been replaced with a dense branch like fence and the walls, the room has also expanded in all sides. The other door that was standing alone in the middle of the cave at the far end was replaced with the woods which spread out into the fences. And it was calling out for me, pulling me like a magnet.

"She isn't moving," someone alarmed pulling me out of my trance.

"Who?" Andrew asked.

"One of the Ey girls!"

"The one who touched the wall!" One announced.

"We have a name dude!"

"All… I can… say is… WE ARE DOOMED!" I finally voiced out.
