Cyrus slowly walked up the stairs, and after reaching the last step, he stood in front of the waterfall. His steps were also at the same level as the water surface of the lake. Looking from a distance, Cyrus appeared to be standing on top of the water, looking extremely mystical.
The descension of the waterfall was simply too strong and there was not a single gap between them. Let alone a Third-tier Star Warrior like him, even if it is the First-tier Star Warrior, they will find it extremely difficult to go in through the waterfall.
Cyrus knew trying to cross this waterfall with his strength was nothing less than trying to commit suicide, however, this unknown place was too dangerous. Dangers were lurking everywhere. Even if he decides not to cross the waterfall, he will encounter other dangers such as those fish monsters and the Three-headed Jaguar.
Since he would face danger everywhere, why not try to cross the waterfall?
After all, he was brought here by that cute little guy. Although it is very small, it is definitely intelligent and there must be a reason why Cyrus was led here by it.
That's why, after observing for a while, Cyrus gritted his teeth and no longer hesitated as he walked toward the waterfall.
As he had guessed before, the moment Cyrus stepped into the waterfall, he felt as if something incredibly heavy had fallen on his head and body, causing him to scream out loud in pain. He quickly retreated.
The waterfall felt like a massive rock smashing into his body. It was excruciatingly painful and even colder than the water in the pool, causing his injured body, which had just recovered, to instantly revert to its original weakened state.
"Damn!"
Cyrus's face distorted, but he soon composed himself while enduring the pain. Many wounds already appeared on his body and his skin was torn.
"I'm too weak. My body can't withstand the impact of the waterfall at all. How would I go in through this waterfall?"
There was no doubt about Cyrus's weak strength. Simply put, it is impossible for someone like him to cross the waterfall.
Cyrus rubbed his aching body and muttered: "Don't tell me I've to go back?"
After muttering, Cyrus shook his head and looked at the pool of water behind him. The pool was so cold. He endured the cold that almost froze him to death and came here with so much difficulty, how could he return?
And... where could he return?
This place was foreign to him.
"Since I can't get in through normally, I'll just rush in with force."
Deciding, Cyrus retreated two steps, clenched his teeth, and rushed towards the waterfall.
Just as he entered the waterfall, a mountain-like pressure came pressing down once again, almost forcing Cyrus to kneel.
From his childhood, there was something special about Cyrus.
Once he decides something, he will never give up. He becomes kind of stubborn. The more resistance he faces, the stronger his mind and will become.
When his mother was still alive, she was there to stop him from doing something stupid. However, she was no longer alive. There was no longer anyone to stop him now.
That's why, when the mountain-like pressure descended heavily on Cyrus's body, forcing him to almost kneel, a stubborn light flashed in his eyes as he held on relying solely on his strong will. Then he gritted his teeth and slowly started moving step by step.
His entire body was tensed as he moved forward bit by bit.
His current movement was extremely slow, even slower than a turtle.
After gritting his teeth and persevering for a long time, he was still only able to take a single step forward.
The width of the waterfall was roughly one meter. But just this one meter made Cyrus feel as if he had stopped moving, and the pressure on his body became increasingly huge, to the point that he felt like vomiting blood.
Ka-cha~
Suddenly, a sound echoed inside Cyrus's body. This was the sound of his bone breaking.
A horrible pain assaulted Cyrus, but he could not even scream due to the falling waterfall. He could not hold on any longer and was smashed flat on the ground by the heavy waterfall.
"Would I die here?"
"No! I can't die here. I've yet to fulfill the promise I made to my mom. I've to live no matter what!"
Cyrus howled madly in his heart as his eyes revealed a determined look. Gritting his teeth, he again started crawling forward.
What Cyrus forgot was that he was currently in a different world. Even if he were to die in this world, he would not die in reality and would only return back to his original world.
After a long, very long, time, Cyrus finally finished this painful journey and arrived at the last layer of waterfall from where he could see the little fellow through the water curtain.
Cyrus gritted his teeth and used the last of his strength to crawl forward.
Vaguely seeing the little fellow jumping up and down excitedly in front of his eyes, the corner of Cyrus's mouth finally revealed a trace of a smile, and then he fainted the next moment.
When he woke up again, he felt itchy on his face. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw the little fellow rubbing its furry body against his face.
Cyrus sat up but suddenly felt that his body was no longer in any pain, and his originally injured body had also recovered.
Shockingly, even the broken bone in his body completely recovered.
Cyrus was very confused and examined his body from head to toe. He discovered that not only had his body fully recovered, but he also felt that there was even more power in his body than before.
"Wh-what?"
"How did this happen?"
Feeling his own body, Cyrus revealed a confused expression on his face.
However, the next moment he thought that as long as his body was fine, it was better than being injured.
Thinking of this, Cyrus slowly stood up and looked at the waterfall behind him that had caused him so much suffering.
After a while, he turned around and started observing the surrounding area.
This was a passage that was around three meters wide and ten meters long. The entire tunnel was made of pure black stones, and although Cyrus did not know what it was, he could tell that the stones laid out on the floor were valuable.
On both sides of the wall, night pearls were embedded every meter or so, illuminating the tunnel very brightly. Cyrus can see some carvings on both sides of the wall.
On one side of the wall, there were carvings of creatures.
Cyrus saw the carving of a divine dragon soaring to the sky with a domineering and majestic aura. He also saw the carving of a phoenix being reborn from its own ashes, then spreading its wings wide while looking down on everyone. There were also some bizarre creatures, tigers with wings, and three-headed snakes. They were vivid and lifelike as if they wanted to charge out of the wall.
On the other side of the wall, there was a carving of a beautiful angel and a man standing on the summit. The most eye-catching was not the beautiful angel but the man standing on the summit. He had long hair which was fluttering as he looked up at the sky with his hands behind his back.
Cyrus stared deeply at the man on the mountain peak and suddenly felt that the man had lowered his head to look at him.
Cyrus subconsciously retreated a few steps, and when he looked at the man once again, he saw that the man was still looking up at the sky. Cyrus shook his head and felt that it must be an illusion. Maybe, he hallucinated for a moment.
Whatever it may have been, Cyrus didn't dare to stay any longer. He quickly walked forward and exited the passage.
What he didn't notice was the man looking in his direction again after he walked far. A light shone in the man's eyes before he again turned his head to look at the sky.
Walking out of the passage, a spacious hall in front of Cyrus.
The interior of the hall was extremely large, but there was not a single thing inside. If there was anything, then it was just a platform.
Nonetheless, it was no ordinary platform.
With a single glance, one could see that this stone platform in the middle of the hall was conspicuous.
A golden pearl glowing with a dazzling golden light could be seen floating quietly above the stone platform.
The walls of the hall were also inlaid with night pearls, brightening up the entire space. The golden light emitted by the stone platform was even more dazzling.
Looking at the golden pearl on the stone platform, Cyrus was surprised. He seems to hear a call. It was as if the golden pearl was calling him, wanting him to walk forward towards it.

"His ranking is still climbing! Just how far is this guy going to rise before it stops?""I'm not sure. Let's keep watching.""Fifteenth. He's now on the verge of entering the ranks of experts at Level 8 Blue Spirit Star Warrior.""How can that be? I can't help but wonder; does he truly possess such strength, or is something fishy going on?""I don't know, but cheating is highly improbable. You should know that the Golden Monument is a treasure left behind from the Age of Gods. There is no way someone could tamper with it. Not to mention him or us, even powerful Glorious Gold Star Warriors are unlikely capable of manipulating it!""Then how do you explain this? Look at him. He is clearly just a First-tier Star Warrior, yet he reached a ranking where only Level 8 Blue Spirit Star Warrior could possibly rank!""Who knows!"Everyone became nervous. Their eyes followed the name that was jumping slowly, their expressions seemingly in a daze.Behind them, under a big tree, stood two young m

"Top 200?"Wan sneered silently when he heard the crowd. As a Level 4 First-tier Star Warrior, he was able to rank 285th after erupting with all his strength. Cyrus was only a 1 First-tier Star Warrior. His name should not have even appeared on the Golden Monument, let alone rank in the Top 200.There must be something strange about his name not only appearing on the Golden Monument but also rising up constantly. While Wan was still sneering inwardly, to everyone's shock, Cyrus's name soon rose to rank 200 and was still rising upward, not showing any sign of stopping at all. Not long after that, his name crossed the 100th position as well."Top 100?""Oh my god, A Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior can actually rank in the top 100. How can this be true? My eyes must have gone blind. I'm seeing things."Everyone thought they'd gone crazy and were seeing things, not able to bring themselves to believe in their eyes.On the other hand, the Golden Monument kept flashing with a name constantl
Ch 35: The Crowd's Shock
Cyrus shifted his attention and saw three hundred names listed on the surface of the Golden Monument. The names belonged to young people who had the qualifications to participate in the Hidden Dragon Competition.Among these people, the weakest was a Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior."Are these the top ten?"Cyrus glanced at the top row of the Golden Monument. Ten names were written there in shiny golden characters. Almost everyone's eyes were fixed on them, full of respect.Cyrus curiously looked at the name ranked first. Dylan Lydall's name was purple gold. Among the 300 names, his name was the most dazzling. He was also a Level 9 Blue Spirit Star Warrior and the contestant who was most likely to win the championship.Cyrus frowned slightly and nodded. This Dylan was truly impressive. At only 28 years old, he had already reached the level of a Level 9 Blue Spirit Star Warrior. His talent was undeniable. To put this into perspective, his father, the Lord of Star City back on Earth, wa

At that moment, Cyrus understood that unless the mystery surrounding the crystal was uncovered, there would be no chance of him purchasing it from Marcus. But Cyrus wasn't ready to give up. As long as he could examine the crystal, the system might reveal its true nature and value to him. He knew he could not let go of this god-given opportunity. Although very low, there is indeed some probability of success.Determined, he asked again, "Then... can you at least let me see the crystal? I want to take a closer look."Marcus hesitated, his expression uncertain. Sensing this, Cyrus shook his head and spoke firmly, "If you want my help, you should at least show some sincerity. If you can't even let me see the crystal, why should I risk my life to help you?"What would he gain from helping them?Just a reward and a favor.Perhaps, Cyrus's background was so extraordinary that he didn't consider their favor worth anything at all."That crystal is with Chris. He took it with him to Ten Thousan

"What kind of place is Ten Thousand Abyss City?" Cyrus couldn’t help but ask.Marcus took a deep breath before replying, "I can only tell you that this city is extremely dangerous. The main reason is that it lies at the intersection of four regions of Light Wind Empire. One of these regions is our Green Wood Region.""The Hidden Dragon Competition isn't limited to the geniuses of the Green River Region in the Light Wind Empire; it's a contest among the brightest talents from all four regions, which is why it's held in Ten Thousand Abyss City.""As for why this city is so perilous, you'll know once you go there."Cyrus nodded thoughtfully. By now, he already knew that the Light Wind Empire had a total of four regions. Each region had hundreds of huge cities and towns. Aside from the Green Wood Region, there were the Red Flame Region, the Blue Water Region, and the Silver Thunder Region. There was a significant reason why each region was named after a color and an element. This was due

Cyrus was stunned, but he soon noticed aside from him no one else reacted. It was as if they were used to it.This was the truth.Marcus explained and Cyrus soon understood everything. It turned out that every red light appears from the card only when the participant is a First-tier Star Warrior. When the participant is a Blue Spirit Star Warrior, a very deep blue light would appear. Different colors represent different stages of cultivation. The light serves as proof of one's identity as a participant in the Hidden Dragon Competition. When the competition begins, the light will automatically activate at the checkpoint, granting the individual access to the competition stage."Alright, you can leave now."The old man waved his hand. Yusuf walked down the stage happily. His strength was neither high nor low."Next."Immediately, a young girl walked up from below. She was seventeen or eighteen years old. Her face was round, and her eyes were blinking, shining brightly. She was a beauty.
