Chapter 3. Who Are You?

Xue Fen’s residence.

The servant who met Jian Zhang on the way brought the young man home. She looked happy and could not wait to convey this news to the empress, who was waiting for Jian Zhang’s return. Even though no one believed in the empress to the point of calling the empress crazy, but the empress, Xue Fen, Jian Zhang’s mother, still believed that one day her son would return.

“Wait here, young master.” The servant rushed into the residence that looked shabby.

Jian Zhang gulped and looked emotional. How could his mother get such a poor place to live?

“Damn it! I will destroy you!” He cursed.

His father had always disliked his mother, but giving him a place like this, does that mean his father didn’t care about his mother’s position as the empress of this kingdom?

“Let me go!” The woman’s voice sounded troubled.

"Let go of me or I will report you to Commander Tian He!" The princess shouted.

The two men looked at each other, laughed sarcastically. "I don't think anyone will hear your report, princess.”

“Hey, get your dirty hands off the princess!” The male servant who was also the princess’s childhood friend defended.

The man with the scar on his face turned to his friend. As if speaking via telepathy, the man let go of the princess and turned to the lowly servant.

“One or two broken fingers. It won’t interfere with your work, right?” He stared with a threatening gaze.

The young servant was terrified, but he was prepared to give his life to the princess.

“Run, Bojing!” The princess cried and shouted loudly.

Bojing, lowly servant’s name. He grew up in the palace, and his mother was Empress Xue Fen’s maid.

Bojing shook his head, “No, princess!”

"You want to be a hero, huh?" The man looked down at Bojing.

"Give him a lesson he will never forget! Lowly servant like him is good in the kitchen. No need to pretend to be a hero!"

The man immediately brutally punched Bojing in the face. Bojing who was just an ordinary servant, who didn’t know martial arts could only take a punch. For someone as weak as himself, protecting himself like that was meaningless. In the end, he would lose..

“Have the palace guards had any unusual hobbies lately?!” Jian Zhang’s eyes showed anger.

The battle between them was inevitable. Jian Zhang’s hands which were already dirty with blood were now stained again.

“Princess!” Bojing tried to get up, “We have to get out of here!”

Princess Jiao Zhang, Jian Zhang’s elder sister was stunned. Her eyes were blind, but she knows that man.

“Who is that young man?” She asked.

“That’s not important. Now we have to get out of here before there is another problem, princess.” Bojing looked worried.

Jian Zhang got into a stance, challenging the guards.

The man who had the wound on the face spit. A bum like that young man was no match for him.

“All right. Let’s see who gets to crawl on the ground and beg for mercy!” The man ran to attack.

Jian Zhang closed his eyes, focusing on the movement of the surrounding wind.

“Die!” The man shrieked.

The corner of Jian Zhang’s lips lifted obliquely. His footwork brushing the ground slowly. And in the twinkling of an eye, he mustered all the strength into his hands. Aiming right at the vital point in the abdominal area.

In one punch, Jian Zhang sent the man flying several meters.

“Damn it!”

The man’s friend did not accept it. He immediately threw a punch at the homeless man. But a normal punch was no match for Jian Zhang. He then caught the man’s hand. Twist it backwards. And...

“Argh! My hand!” The man screamed pitifully.

It didn’t take long for Jian Zhang to twist the bodyguard’s arm until a sound of pain escaped his bones. The heartbreaking screams became the back sound of the night that should have been calm.

Hearing the screams coming from Empress Xue Fen’s residence, several guards rushed to the location in a rush. Among them was Tian He, the strongest war knight.

“Stop!” Tian He was already in an attacking position. His black stone sword was already out.

Jian Zhang ignored Tian He’s words and kept choking the guard's neck until he heard something break.

Tian He brandished his sword. One thing he knew for sure, this man would stop at nothing.

Tian He jumped up, striding swiftly through the air. In one stroke, a flash of lightning shot out from his blade. He aimed a slash at the young man.

Jian Zhang who realized the danger immediately jumped away.

Tian He?

Jian Zhang realize that the man who almost killed him earlier was Tian He, the master who had once taught him martial arts.

At that time, Jian Zhang was just a stupid and talentless child.

“What is your purpose here?” Tian He glared at his enemy.

Jian Zhang crossed his arms, responding casually to the question. “I’m not your enemy!”

But who will believe? Jian Jiang Zhang had already killed two bodyguards.

Tian He chuckled. Without warning, he immediately made another attack.

Jian Zhang shifted his feet as fast as lightning. Tian He’s attack was famous for its lightning speed, but Jian Zhang’s movements were faster than that.

Seeing that his enemy match with his speed Tian He widened his eyes. This was the first time he had an opponent on par with him. And he was very interested in this fight.

“Don’t let your guard down!” Jian Zhang who suddenly appeared behind Tian He. Instantly Tian He jumped away, his forehead wrinkled full of question marks.
