“Finally! I’ve waited so long for this!” the system spirit exclaimed, rubbing its bubbling hands before Alec, which he found both cute and amusing.

If the spirit knew what Alec was thinking, it would probably wish for the ground to open up and swallow it whole. Throughout their time together, Alec had realized that the system spirit wanted to be feared; or seen as a respected safe, there was no way it would ever want to be seen as a cute entity.

“So, what’s left on my list? I’ve been grinding for materials needed to create a new armor set. If you remember, it’s this same grinding that’s keeping me from going to the region where the Golden Horn Drakes reside,”

“Just because of the grudges that Tier 6 Drake has against me, there are a lot of strong demonic beasts there, and they’re solitary Demonic beasts” Alec complained, turning to the system spirit.

“Hmph! So what if you can’t go to that part of the forest right now? It’s just a little lizard Drake. If you weren’t still in the Tier

A few minutes later, Pale could be seen heaving heavily; around him, the bodies of dead beastmen were sprawled on the ground. However, he was now staring at Endrick and Agnes in fear, the whole reason he had asked Beatrice and Lucas to stay out of the fight was because he wanted the limelight on himself. But now he realized that Brandon, the one he thought he had to worry about wasn’t even his problem at all during this trial, during the fight, though Brandon showed a bit of excellence, but he was more of the laid-back type during the battle. He and Arthur basically held one side alone sharing kills like they were training more than in a competition , while Pale had Katie with him. She, too, had performed well and even swayed some enemies toward Pale’s side because she was more aware of her friend’s intentions than anyone, on another side were Agnes and Knight,That was one alliance he hadn’t worried much about along the line, then the last position was being held by Sophia and Endri

Legion was no longer in midair again, instead just like his cyborg golems. He too had taken cover behind a chunk of collapsed buildings, as he watched the smoke obscuring the tower slowly clear. He finally sighed in relief after confirming Alec was okay atop the Tower, and nothing had happened to him after the collision of the two projectiles. But that didn’t mean he’d forgiven the robots that almost cost Alec a loss, Legion immediately turned his attention to the rear-line robots carrying heavy weaponry and issued new orders. “1, 2, 3—provide cover for me. 4, 5, 6—you’ll breach with me. 7, 8, 9 you lots would provide long-range support, and your primary objective is to keep the robot back line from interfering again. “If anyone tries to act too clever, eliminate them before I reach them, number 10, as for you, your mission is to handle healing and all support, just be ready when we need you.” Legion was furious that he’d allow something like that slip through and intended to mak

Due to the upgraded water-screen system, people could also watch anyone high in the rankings by linking their mana to the team they wanted to see.And that’s how many viewers opened the feed showing Alec Gordons, who was representing the second team of the War God Mage Academy. It was amusing to them that the other major academies, who had split their squads in two for the purpose of occupying two ranking slots and pushing others out, didn’t have any of their second teams make the top ten.Yet it was the War God Mage Academy, the one academy almost no one expected that did, the moment Alec Gordons’ feed opened for many in the crowd, they were surprised by what they saw.Alec was sitting atop his tower on an earth chair that looked quite unique, he was in sixth place for kill points, and they couldn’t believe he’d reached it while appearing to do nothing. But when they used their mana senses to expand the screen and make it their centerpiece, they noticed a massive stone shield, which

  • Top Ten.

At the Arena, many people were already watching different water screens showing the teams they were interested in, the system of the water screen was so advanced that mages could draw in the air with their mana to interact with any of the multiple water screens they wanted to view personally, and a miniature water screen showcasing that match would pop up before them. Even outside the four axis gates, many were watching the second trial in this way. This setup was probably arranged like this because there were teams from all five Kingdoms, and it’s not like anyone would just enjoy watching multiple teams at once, since their attention would be divided. That’s why the system was deployed this way, so they could simply interact with the water screen showing the team they wanted to support. And even then, there were still many who wanted to watch more than one match at once. This new water-screen format allowed the viewers up to at least three miniature water screens, that was how citi

Despite keeping his eyes wide open and trying to understand how the teleportation device worked, Alec still couldn’t grasp the mechanism behind it.One moment he was in the Royal Fighting Arena of the Northern Capital; and the next, he had been teleported to a new environment he felt oddly unfamiliar with. The instant he arrived, he surveyed his surroundings and just as he suspected, there was also a light-gem behind him like the one he’d seen on the water screen before he activated his Badge.“Survival mission: Defend the Tower.”A loud voice rang out, hearing “defend the tower,” Alec took his time to study the terrain he’d been sent to. As he noticed a scatter of broken bricks and rocks placed almost purposefully, as if to allow the enemies use them for cover. He swiftly activated his Energy Eyes and looked ahead, as a blue hue lit his iris and as expected he realized the areas within the gem’s light-radius were densely packed with… something.“Hm. Why do they look more like robot

  • Getting Separated.

Immediately, Alec realized the rest of his team were already staring at him, hoping to hear his plan for how they would proceed with the second trial.Funny enough, he didn’t even have a plan yet, which made him look around, hoping he’d catch some kind of clue about how he was supposed to handle it from the teams nearby .Then he noticed most teams with more than ten members were already splitting into two groups: with one consisting of their main members, and their reserves in the other, in cases where a reserve member was particularly special, they adjusted, pulling that specialist into the main squad and sending one of their heavy hitters to the reserve team. They still didn’t know what the second trial would be, but many of these mages seemed confident they could handle whatever came with just their main team, that kind of confidence was standard among the premier institutions of all the Five kingdoms. However, for some teams that already had exactly ten members, they didn’t both
