Huang Jianshu, a man accustomed to command even in his own home, recovered from the shock first. He cleared his throat, a sharp sound that broke the spell of awkwardness. He and his wife stepped forward, their faces arranged into masks of formal gratitude, pointedly ignoring the fact that they had just witnessed their daughter in the arms of their guest.

"Senior Li," Huang Jianshu began, his voice deep and resonant. He executed a formal bow, and his wife followed suit. "Words cannot express our gratitude. You have saved the most precious treasure of our Huang Clan. Any request you have, anything you desire, you need only ask."

Liu Wanqing added, her voice soft but sincere, "Our home is your home, Senior Li. Please, do not treat yourself as an outsider."

Li Qingyan gave a slight nod, accepting their thanks with a placid grace.

Having dispensed with the initial pleasantries, Huang Jianshu's curiosity, stoked by the ancient scripture, began to surface. "A righteous master of your caliber is a rare sight in this world. Your skill is profound. Surely your heritage is as deep and ancient as the northern mountains themselves. If I may be so bold as to ask..."

The question hung in the air, a baited hook.

Li Qingyan’s jade-green eyes, which had been calm and observant, seemed to cool by several degrees. The faint, pleasant atmosphere in the courtyard vanished, replaced by a subtle but immense pressure.

"The past is a graveyard, Clan Master Huang," Li Qingyan said, his voice quiet but carrying an unmistakable finality. "It is best not to disturb the dead."

The message was clear. The interrogation was over. Huang Jianshu felt a prickle of cold sweat on his brow and immediately bowed his head. "Forgive this one's impertinence, Senior."

With the matter of his past dismissed, Li Qingyan's gaze shifted, becoming distant and sharp. He looked past them, as if seeing something far beyond the tranquil walls of the courtyard.

"Your gratitude is premature," he stated bluntly. "The assassins were merely a probe. A test. The true threat has yet to arrive."

His words fell like stones into a silent pond.

"Prepare yourselves," Li Qingyan continued, his voice devoid of emotion. "A river of blood flows toward this mountain. The force that comes for you aims not for victory, but for annihilation. Many of your clan will die."

Huang Jianshu and his wife paled, their earlier relief turning to ash in their mouths. Even Huang Lianxue, who had just recovered her composure, felt a chill grip her heart.

"Senior, you must help us!" Huang Jianshu pleaded, his formal dignity forgotten in a surge of desperation.

Li Qingyan turned his gaze back to them. "The rise and fall of clans is like the turning of seasons. It is the way of the world. This matter does not truly concern me."

Despair began to cloud the Clan Master's face. But then, Li Qingyan’s eyes settled on Huang Lianxue, a thoughtful, calculating look within them.

"However..." he said slowly. "Out of a sense of... nostalgia, I can offer you a sliver of hope. I have no interest in fighting your war for you, but I can ensure the survival of your bloodline." He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "I will take Huang Lianxue as my disciple."

The air froze. To be the disciple of a peerless master like Li Qingyan was a fortune that could not be bought with all the wealth in the world. It was a path to the heavens themselves.

Before her parents could even process the monumental offer, Huang Lianxue acted.

Without a moment's hesitation, she dropped to her knees, pressing her forehead to the cold stone of the pavilion floor in a full, formal kowtow of a disciple to her master. "Lianxue greets Master!" she declared, her voice trembling with overwhelming emotion.

As she prostrated herself, her form was one of perfect, desperate submission. The fine silk of her dress pulled taut against the elegant curve of her spine and her beautiful, rounded buttocks. A tremor of pure, unadulterated emotion rippled through her frame, causing the soft mounds of her chest to tremble with the force of her prostration.

Watching her, Li Qingyan felt something stir within him.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, a genuine smile touched his lips. It was not the cold, unreadable mask he usually wore, but a fleeting, authentic warmth that, for an instant, seemed to light up his jade-green eyes.

He felt... something. An echo of a long-forgotten mortal feeling, a strange warmth spreading from his chest. He had spent a thousand years cultivating a heart of iron, purging all worldly attachments, viewing love, desire, and even gratitude as nothing more than foolish weaknesses.

Why, now, did this girl's simple, absolute act of submission feel... not entirely unwelcome? The thought was an anomaly, a crack in the icy fortress of his spirit. And for the first time since he had awakened, Li Qingyan felt a flicker of genuine curiosity about his own heart.

It was a disease, and he was the cure."You still don't understand," he said, his voice flat. He released her throat. For a heartbeat, she thought he might be showing mercy. Then, she felt it. A new strand of Qi, his Qi, entered her body. It did not attack her meridians. Instead, it acted like a master key, seizing control of the potent aphrodisiacs in her system, hijacking the 'Seven Moons Fragrance' in the air and the 'Lover's Draught' in her blood. He was turning her own trap against her.Simultaneously, the same invisible force washed over her dozen paralyzed subordinates. The effect was instantaneous. The Jade Pavilion was the most expensive restaurant in Jade River City, and the private room Qin Luosha had reserved was its most secluded and opulent. When Li Qingyan was led to the heavy, sound-proofed door, he could already smell the trap. The air that wafted out as the door opened was hot and thick, heavy with the cloying scent of 'Seven Moons Fragrance,' a potent aphrodisiac designed to inflame the passions of any male cultivator below the Core Formation realm. Crude, Li Qingyan thought, his face impassive. The scene inside was a calculated tableau of hedonism. Dozens of the most beautiful women from the Whispering Silks Troupe were arranged throughout the room, lounging on silk cushions and furs. All of them were completely naked, a living, breathing tapestry of temptation. Their bodies were slick with fragrant oils, and their eyes, already hazy from the aphrodisiacs in the air, turned to him with a single-minded, predatory hunger. At the center of it all, at the head of a low t
