Grandson Heir's Arrival

Ready or not, Axel finally decided to visit Geraldo's family. He called the number on the business card and informed them of his arrival.

Along the way to the address, Axel was nervous and hesitant. He wondered whether the steps he had taken were right or not. His feelings at that time were erratic.

He repeatedly considered whether to contact Axel's family or stop until the wind that blew strongly against his body and face barely made him feel any sensation.

Despite his inner war, Axel finally let the online driver take him to the front of Godrigo's large, luxurious gate.

"Here we are, brother."

The online driver's brother had to say that because Axel didn't get off. He had to call out to Axel several times to break the man's reverie.

"Ah, yes, sorry!"

Axel hurried downstairs and reached into his pants pocket while taking the money he had prepared to pay the fare. This time, the driver was surprised by the money Axel handed over to him. It was fantastic, like a windfall. At first, the online driver refused, but in the end, he was grateful that Axel insisted on accepting it.

Axel was still standing where he had been looking at a large, imposing fence that had many carvings as if it had the signature carvings of the architect. After just one step, the gate opened by itself and soon a car appeared with a man in a black suit who guided Axel to get into the car.

"Welcome young master, please come in. The great master is expecting you."

The man in the black suit greeted him so kindly, in Axel's heart he felt like a king's son who had just arrived from hunting and was greeted by his men.

"It's like a dream," he muttered as he got into the car and sat nervously in the luxurious car.

Unexpectedly, the journey to the mansion was quite far, it took 10 minutes for them to arrive at the front yard of the mansion. Axel's eyes rounded perfectly when he saw everyone gathered in front of the courtyard of the house in neat rows like people who were welcoming the arrival of the president alone.

"Come, sir," said the man in the black uniform, inviting Axel to get out of his car.

Axel just nodded his head back slowly, he didn't feel like he belonged there. With his shabby appearance, the servants were even better dressed than he was.

"Welcome young master, Devano Geraldo," said all the servants as they bowed their heads to welcome Axel.

"Devano?! I-I'm Ax-" Axel pursed his lips when he saw a graying old man come out smiling and greeting him.

"My grandson Devano or Axel. It's not the same thing. Welcome, son."

The old man spread his arms expecting Axel to greet him with a hug.

Axel didn't understand at first until Mr. Bastian whispered something for Axel to hug his grandfather. With shaky steps, Axel finally obeyed what Mr. Bastian had said.

"Are you okay, son? Grandpa has been waiting for you for a long time. Come on in."

The old man put his arm around Axel and led his grandson inside, several times Axel gulped his saliva violently when entering Geraldo's luxurious house. He didn't expect that such a palace-like house existed in the real world, indeed all the accessories and interiors of the house were sparkling with gold-colored shades.

"You must not have had lunch yet, right? Let's eat with grandpa."

"Yes, sir. Uh, grandfather."

Hearing that Godrigo smiled slightly, "You'll eventually get used to calling me grandfather. Come."

He led Axel into the kitchen room and invited Axel to sit on the plush chair. Feeling that his clothes were dirty, Axel remained standing and felt inappropriate to sit on such a luxurious chair.

"Why don't you sit down, son?" asked Geraldo.

"My clothes are dirty, Grandpa. I don't think I should be sitting here."

"Sit down, Xel. You are my grandson. After this lunch, you can clean up and change your clothes later."

"Is it okay that the chair is dirty?"

"Yes, child. The servant can clean it later. You are my grandson and the heir here."

Geraldo asked the waiter to serve Axel. "I don't know what you like or don't like and I hope the menu on this table has something you like."

"You can rest easy, I'm not a picky eater. So I'll eat everything."

Axel's words made Geraldo chuckle and they ate lunch together. Seeing Axel eat so well made Geraldo happy mixed with sadness, happy that he could find his grandson and sad because Axel was not living well.

"I'm sorry, your grandfather! It's too late to find you, Xel."

"No problem, Grandpa. I'm still wondering if I'm grandfather's biological grandson or not."

Geraldo smiled, "You are my biological grandson and now I want you to stay here with me."

"If only your parents were still alive. They would be happy to welcome you," said Gerlado with tears in his eyes.

The transformed man looked at Axel closely, "All those who have the heart to separate us will pay the price."

A glimpse of his grandfather's words made Axel wonder what Geraldo meant. What happened in the past was that they had to lose their grandson for decades.

Axel did not want to be disappointed if he turned out to be an unwanted bastard grandson, then thrown away, but hearing the grandfather's statement made Axel realize that the famously rich man could not be wrong to prove that he was his biological grandson.

Frowning, he heard a story from his grandfather about himself until he discussed the name of someone who seemed familiar to his ears.

"Bastian, make sure you dig deeper into the information and leave no stone unturned."

"Yes, sir."

Geraldo gazed deeply at Axel, not expecting the baby he once was to now be so big. The small fingers now turned into fingers full of muscles and the small face turned into a handsome face that was still the same as before, except that Axel's face now looked unkempt.

It's sad to see the heir to the Geraldo family looking shabby and being insulted by people.

"Grandpa will make sure everyone who insults you pays for everything."
