The days that followed felt like a dream Arthur was afraid to wake from.

Word spread quickly through the banking and logistics sectors. The debt that had choked Moore and Son Logistics for years had vanished overnight like smoke in the wind.

Arthur dedicated himself to restructuring operations, removing corrupt managers, and recruiting competent people who truly cared about the business. Contracts were renewed, and investors who had previously abandoned Moore & Son suddenly returned, sensing a shift in power.

As for Cross and his assistant Priscilla, Bruce chose not to fire them. Instead, he punished them by demoting both to delivery truck drivers for a period of five years.

All of these events occurred within a week.

On a Tuesday afternoon the following week, Arthur arrived at the private suite on the top floor of St. Nicholas Medical Center. The room looked more like a luxury five-star hotel than a hospital.

Eleanor lay back in a large bed, surrounded by state-of-the-art medical equipment. She was sitting up, reading her books peacefully when Arthur walked in.

"Hi, mom," he said, flashing a wide smile.

Eleanor looked at her son, her eyes lighting up. "Well, look who decided to drop by! If it isn't my charming young man."

The kidney transplant had been a complete success. The surgical team, carefully selected by William Lanchester himself, executed the operation flawlessly.

Eleanor's body was accepting the new organ, and her recovery was progressing faster than anyone had anticipated. She had regained her color, and her dull eyes were starting to sparkle again.

Arthur sat beside her bed, holding her hand. "How are you feeling, Mom?"

"I've never felt better, Arthur," Eleanor said, squeezing his fingers. "For the first time in ages, I actually feel so alive. Your grandfather told me that you've been occupied lately."

Arthur lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "Something like that."

"He also told me about the bank and how you cleared the debt," Eleanor's voice shook slightly. "Son, you actually bought the bank. That's amazing."

Arthur beamed. "Well, I had help from my grandfather."

Eleanor's eyes softened. "I apologize for having kept the truth about your grandfather from you. I should have said that we came from wealth, but your grandfather was still resentful toward me over the years. I didn't want you feeling any hatred towards him."

"It's fine, Mom," Arthur said. "I've already forgiven him for his mistakes since he saved your life. That's the only thing that matters to me."

Eleanor gave Arthur a proud look. "I love you so much Arthur. You are destined for great things. Your grandfather was here an hour before you arrived. He wants you to meet him in the hospital garden."

Arthur's eyebrow lifted in surprise. "What does he want to talk about."

Eleanor flashed him a knowing smile. "Business."

Later, Arthur walked alongside his grandfather in the hospital garden.

The garden behind St. Nicholas Medical Center was a peaceful spot with neatly trimmed hedges, blooming roses, and stone paths that curved around a little koi pond.

Arthur walked beside William along the cobblestone path.

"Thank you," he said, breaking the comfortable silence. "For saving my mother. I understand we had our differences, and I won't lie, I said some awful things back when we first met—"

"You spoke nothing but the truth, Arthur," William interrupted. "I deserved it and more."

Arthur stopped walking. He turned to face his grandfather. "Still, thank you. I meant what I said too. You saved her life. I won't forget that. Ever."

William studied his grandson for a long moment. Then he nodded and continued walking. They reached a stone bench overlooking the koi pond. William sat down heavily while Arthur sat beside him.

"Over the last few days," William began, "I have been in constant communication with my attorneys. There were matters to discuss and documents to sign."

Arthur sensed his grandfather was preparing the ground for something, but he couldn't tell what it was.

William turned to look directly at Arthur. "I have made you my sole heir."

Arthur stared at him in disbelief. "Alright, I'm waiting for the punchline."

"There is no punchline," William responded. "You're now a Lanchester. Heir to my empire."

Arthur's mouth fell open. "Your sole heir? That's... that's insane. But I don't know anything about the Lanchesters."

"Eleanor is my only offspring," William said calmly. "You are her only son. When I am gone, the Lanchester empire will pass to you. There is no one else."

Arthur swallowed hard. His throat felt dry. "I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility. I can't run a business that prints money and controls banks. I'm a delivery boy, for God's sake."

"You are correct," William said, his voice unflinching. "You lack refinement. In fact, you are not even worthy to be my heir."

Arthur blinked. He hadn't expected such blunt honesty.

William continued. "But someday, Arthur, I will die. When that day comes, you will need to step up. You will need to run my legacy, grow it and Protect it. Then you'll Pass it to your own children one day."

He placed a hand on Arthur's knee. "That is the burden of inheritance. Whether you want it or not, it is coming for you."

Arthur ran a hand through his hair, his mind spinning. "How can I do that? I’m a nobody. I grew up poor. I never had any connections or experience with wealth. I barely survived one company, and now you’re talking about an entire legacy."

"That," William interrupted, "is precisely why I have enrolled you in Royal Elite Academy."

Arthur froze in shock.

"What?!" He exclaimed. "You can't be serious!"

Royal Elite Academy. The school where the children of the world's most powerful families study.

"I am entirely serious," William said. "It is the only educational institution I hold in high regard. The children studying there will one day govern industries, governments, and empires. You must earn their respect and rise above them."

Arthur shook his head gently, feeling overwhelmed. “This is so sudden. I don’t think I’m ready for that—”

William raised his hand, silencing him. "Do not think you have a choice in this matter, grandson. Your mother would be disappointed if you rejected your birthright. Do it for her."

Arthur shut his eyes for a moment. He remembered the warmth, the love, and the strength of his mother that had carried them both through the darkest years.

She had given up everything for him. The least he could do was to honor that sacrifice.

Arthur let out a slow breath. The tension in his shoulders relaxed. "Alright," he said softly. "I'll do it."

William allowed himself a small smile. "Good. You start on Monday. When you walk into that academy, you will not be their equal. You will be their superior."

Arthur's eyes narrowed as he felt a strong resolve. "Yes. I will."

The next morning, Arthur woke up to the smell of freshly cooked food. Soft sunlight streamed through the massive glass windows of the 100th floor, bathing the luxurious suite in gold. Arthur slowly opened his eyes and sat up on the enormous king-sized bed. For a brief second, he almost forgot where he was. Then he recalled what happened yesterday: The Imperial Tower, the hundredth floor, and the Golden Student. A knock came from the bedroom door. One of the butlers stepped inside respectfully. “Good morning, Master Arthur. Your breakfast is ready." Arthur nodded lazily before getting out of bed. A long table sat on the terrace overlooking the city, dressed with white linen, gleaming silverware, and fresh flowers in a crystal vase. The table was packed with food. Enough food for twenty people. Arthur sat down at the head of the table as his two butlers appeared at his sides—one pouring fresh orange juice into a crystal glass, the other arranging warm pastries on a gold-rimmed

  • The student council's meeting

At the very top of the academy’s administrative district stood a circular chamber reserved exclusively for the academy’s students council. This was not a place ordinary students could enter. Only the academy’s true rulers gathered here. In the middle of the room stood a big black round table, with an enormous chandelier above it that is shaped like a crown. Seated around the table were the most powerful students in Royal Elite Academy. They were all future CEOs, political heirs, and royal descendants. Every student seated in the chamber was a member of the White Class—the highest pinnacle of the Royal Elite Academy’s hierarchy. Seated at the head of the table was Roseline Zenith, President of the Council. Roseline was 20 years old, though her eyes seem a bit matured. Her black hair was neatly tied into a tight bun, and her White-Class uniform was spotless. She wore a black tie with gold lining and a platinum lapel pin that had the Zenith family crest, marking her as a member o

The room fell into an awkward silence. Even the wind drifting in from the terrace seemed quieter.Director Ross softly cleared his throat, pulling himself together."Of course, Master Arthur," he said carefully. "You may choose whichever uniform you wish to wear. The Golden Student holds that privilege."He hesitated, making sure to choose his words wisely. "However, if I may offer some professional advice, Master Arthur, I would strongly recommend at least the Red-Class uniform."Arthur's expression didn't change. He let him finish.Ross neatly folded his gloved hands in front of him. The Blue-Class students don't get treated as nicely as the others. They are ignored, mocked, and often looked down upon by nearly everyone."Jamie nodded feverishly.“He’s right!” Jamie quickly added. "Blue-Class students are treated like NPCs here. Some people practically use them as servants.”Ross gave a small nod of agreement. "The Red-Class offers a comfortable middle ground for you. You would stil

  • The Golden Student

An hour later, a firm knock fell on Jamie's door. Jamie walked over and pulled it open. The moment he opened it, his entire body stiffened. A tall, middle-aged man stood outside, dressed in a pristine black suit, silver gloves, and a platinum crest pinned to his chest. Behind him were four attendants in uniform. Jamie’s eyes widened instantly. This was the man who controlled access to every floor in the Imperial Tower. Even the White-Class students treated him with the utmost respect. He was Director Ross "Are you Arthur Moore?" Ross inquired. Before Jamie could stammer out a response, Arthur stepped forward from inside the room. "I'm Arthur Moore," he said calmly. Ross surveyed Arthur briefly and bowed with a slight nod. "Master Arthur," he addressed with respect. "It’s a great honor to meet you. My name is Ross Crowne. Imperial Tower Management Director" Jamie tensed up in surprise. He had no clue what was happening at the moment. "The academy has received confirmati

  • The Imperial Tower

The first thing Arthur noticed as soon as he stepped out of Jamie's car was that no Blue-Class students were seen anywhere near the building. Arthur asked, "So, only Red-class and White-class students can live here?" Jamie gave a quick nod. “Yes, master. Blue-class students are forbidden from entering inside without an invitation.” Arthur didn't say anything. He followed Jamie through the revolving door into a lavish lobby that stretched upward like a cathedral. The interior was straight out of a seven-star luxury hotel, with crystal chandeliers up above and bellhops all over the place. Arthur couldn't stop admiring the water features in the lobby and the private elevators gliding silently behind gold-trimmed glass. Jamie led Arthur to a private elevator. He pressed his thumb against a scanner, and the doors slid open silently. "Floor 1 to 30 mostly belongs to Red-Class," Jamie said as the elevator began to rise. "The higher the floor, the greater the student’s influence."

  • The hierarchy system

Jamie's knees dropped to the cobblestones, his phone clutched in both hands, staring at the screen as if he had just received a message from heaven. "I don't... I can't..." He looked up at Arthur with eyes that were shaking. "I don't believe it." "What did he send you?" a student demanded, pushing forward. "Jamie, how much?" another asked. Jamie held his phone tightly against his chest and shook his head. He honored his word and didn't share it with anyone. But his silence spoke louder than any number could. Arthur came over to where Jamie was kneeling on the cobblestone pavement. He stopped in front of him, staring down like someone who knew exactly how powerful he was. "Get up, my lapdog," Arthur said, gesturing toward the academy buildings. "And show me around. Right now." Jamie scrambled to his feet. Then, to everyone's shock, Jamie shamelessly lowered his head in a bow. "With pleasure," Jamie uttered, then raised his eyes. "Would you mind telling me your name?" Arthur
