Cory looked up ahead and saw a black Rolls Royce parked by the roadside. At that very moment, he lost the will to continue in his tracks. He just stood there as he watched the scene.

The lady whom he had saved from the thugs was standing next to the Rolls Royce.

Cory, still standing aloof, watched as the door on the driver's side opened, and a tall and lanky man stepped out of the car.

The man's suits were well tailored. He was wearing the Thompson brand. His jaws were well outlined, and his face held a certain amount of danger.

Just from standing at distance, Cory could tell that much. How about if he walked closer? He couldn't begin to imagine how terrifying the man would be.

The man's tough face suddenly became terrified as he saw the lady. He ran around the car to her and dropped on his knees.

"Do not spare me, my lady. Punish me. I shouldn't have left you here for long. I shouldn't have left you here all by yourself." The man begged, hitting his forehead against the hard bitumen road.

The man didn't seem to care that his forehead was becoming bloody as he hit his head against the floor over and over again.

"Enough!" The lady snapped at the man.

Shocked by her order and scared of infuriating her even more, the man stopped hitting his head. But he didn't get up yet.

"Get up. I have to go to the hospital." The lady stressed.

The man jumped on his feet at once.

"Please forgive me, my lady. Could you stay in the car for a while while I chase after those dogs and squash their heads into pulp!" The man asked determinedly, wishing that his request would be granted.

"You don't have to." She dismissed.

Then she turned around slowly and looked in the direction of Cory. Cory was still there standing like a statue.

He was wondering about who could this young lady whom he had saved be. That man almost killed himself just now for her! Who could she be?

"Hey, please come closer." The lady called at Cory.

When she called him, Cory turned and looked behind himself. Perhaps there was someone else. When he couldn't find anyone, he realised that he was the one she was calling.

He slowly walked to join her. He didn't really know how to react to this situation.

"My lady! Is he part of them? Is he part of Henry's men?!" The lanky man flared up when he saw Cory.

He was about to lunge at Cory and give him the beating of his life.

"No, stay put! He is not part of them! In short, he saved me!" The lady explained.

When the lady said this, the lanky man looked quite impressed and pleased in the first place, but then again, as though he changed his mind, there was sarcasm in his face.

"He did?" The man asked in a doubtful tone.

For all the man could see, Cory was a skinny looking young malnutritioned man. How could someone as skinny as Cory ever have a chance at just one man, let alone so many?

"How can a man who looks light like a feather fight the ---"

"Are you saying that I don't know what I'm talking about?" The lady suddenly took an offense.

When the man realised this, he quickly bowed.

"Please forgive my insolence, my lady."

The man quickly fumbled through the chest pocket of his suit and brought out a small wrap of money. He walked to Cory and handed the money over to him.

"It was kind of you to come to the aid of my lady. Take this money and leave right away." The man offered.

Cory was first surprised by the gesture of the man. But when he looked at the hand of the man and saw just a few number of one dollar bills, his eyes squinted. What level of insult is this?

"He is coming to the hospital with me." The lady interrupted the two.

"Huh?" Both Cory and the man were caught off guard.

"I want to show him to my father." The lady said then got into the car.

"Please join me." She asked Cory politely.

"Me?" Cory stuttered, having trouble understanding what's happening.

Although the lanky man still has doubts about Cory, yet he couldn't disrespect his mistress.

So, he thought of a way to discourage her from taking Cory with her.

Looking at Cory, all he sees is an opportunist.

"My lady. I will take him to the nearest ATM machine and ask him for the amount he wants. I will give all to him, but you should not let a total stranger into your car, let alone invite him to Old Master. You know how strict Old Master is -"

"Any more words for you, and that will be the end for you." The lady's tone became icy as her beautiful face wielded a glare.

Without any more words, the man walked to the other side of the car and got the door for Cory. The car drove off.

Cory was seated at the other end of the backseat of the Rolls Royce. He couldn't help but wonder and gasp at the beauty of the interior of the automobile monster.

But then his eyes fell on the lady who was sitting on the other end of the backseat of the car.

He started to think again.

When he had decided to save her, though based on the instructions of the virtual interface, he had thought that she was a random girl who was being taken advantage of by perverts.

That was a very prevalent case in the country. The country reeks of perverts.

But it seems he was wrong. This lady whom he had saved didn't look like an ordinary person.

But who is she? And who is this her father who was very strict?

Cory still didn't know why he agreed to follow her. In short, he didn't even know how he ended up saving her. He had been ordered around by the virtual interface, and now this lady is ordering him around, too.

Suddenly, the car stopped. Cory looked, but he couldn't see because the glass was tinted.

The lanky man, who now functions as the driver, quickly stepped out and opened the door.

As soon as Cory climbed out of the car, the virtual interface suddenly appeared in front of him again,

"Please come with me." The lady's voice jerked him back into reality.

He followed her. The driver follows closely from behind.

How could this be ---" Anna turned to the back to ask Cory. She suddenly choked on the words. Turning around, Cory was nowhere to be found. It would seem as though he had vanished into thin air. She quickly rushed back into the hut to look for him but she couldn't find him. She ran outside again. She didn't know what to make of all these that were happening to her. What had just happened in the building was still very much fresh in her mind. There was no way she was going to throw that away or be distracted from it. She took a glance at the corner of Cory's face. Then, the glance intensified, graduating into a keen gaze. Cory, on the other hand, was staring at the front. It would seem as though she was not even there. "Are you not going to explain it to me?" She asked him eventually. Cory still would not look at her. She didn't want to act as though this meant nothing to her. She hated the fact that Cory was ignoring her. She knew that she could not force the words out of his mouth. Lord Theo, who was already exhausted from the errands and worries affiliated with the plot they were carrying out, raised his head slowly to look at his daughter, who was fired up by what she was saying. "What are you talking about, Anna? Please go back to bed. You need it." The man dismissed causally as though he had expected her to be up by now. At this point, Anna really didn't know what to feel. She wished that she would be able to choose her feelings, but she couldn't. There was a great measure of disappointment in what she was feeling at that moment. And there was something else, too. Something which she couldn't really reach. She wanted to sigh, but because she was huffing and puffing, she was even having a hard time catching her breath. "Answer my question, father." Her voice became even louder this time. She was trying to make it obvious to him that she wasn't here to joke around. She was here to talk about and review what was bothering her the most.
