Chu was not given much time to grasp the change that soon happened in the next moment. Ling started to run forward at his usual pace which Chu was familiar with but decided to switch it up at the last moment where he circulated chi into his legs at the last seconds.
Chu's eyes widened ed as he saw his elder brother become a blur for an instant, this sudden development caused his muscles to become tense for a second. But a second was all Ling needed to teach him his well deserved lesson. Ling could feel the energy circulating through the veins and muscles in his legs, relaxing them and energising as he ran faster than he ever had. When he reached Chu he threw the strongest blow he ever had at his face, the blow carried all the chi Ling could muster in that moment as well as all his pent up hatred for the person. His fist started to throb and burn, it's weight almost doubling. For the first time since their unfortunate spars had begun, Ling's blow connected with Chu's face and with a satisfying impact. He watched Chu's face get contorted and release a powerful shockwave that sent his body spinning around in the air like a windmill before crashing into the nearby wall. A pains grunt left Chu's mouth which felt like music to Ling's ears, his block had knocked a tooth clean out of his little brothers face and it was well deserved. Chu was on the ground knocked out cold, Ling stood over him his face carrying a wicked contorted smile. His mind could not begin to quantify the amount of pleasure he felt from exacting his revenge on his foolish little brother. He wanted to stomp on him and crush his skull but he managed to hold himself back and see reason. Ling raised his fist to see it smoking, he could still feel the force of the blow on them. The illusionary dragon from the system simply hovered in the air and watched him without saying anything, it's face almost unreadable. Ling still not satisfied with what he had done decided to leave the room while taking Chu's clothes with him, he wanted the young brother of his to suffer a bit more. He left the physician house before anyone would come by, he was not keen on returning to his room in the clan grounds yet. He decided to go into the main village market to resolve some private business, on the way there he avoided taking the more use roads while rehearsing his chi flow on the road. When he reached the village market it was busy, merchants loudly trying to pull the massive of people walking around. There were cardboard houses rising up to be three stories high, he had heard that Sky village was one of the most successful villages in the province but he had yet to confirm that. It had basic forms of entertainment, good food, but Ling was rarely ever there for such things. Ling made his way to the auction house, a six story building where various artifacts or special items were sold by bidding. There were three auction houses in all of the village as they were a big deal in many villages, auction houses were ranked by their reliability, and quality of items they auctioned. The most prominent auction house in the village was the proud sky, every one of great power attended this place when they needed something to be sold or wanted to buy something of high quality and reliability. Just like any other places of power affiliated with the sky family they did not care one bit about Ling. The third auction house was the lowest in terms of power and respect within the village. It used to be ranked second but the business almost crumbled when the owner owed great debt. This auction house was called, the weeping shallows and it was here Ling had acquainted himself to. They were the only auction house that did not turn him down or send him packing. He approached the huge building, it's walls a shade of gold, pillars painted red. He climbed the seventeen steps to reach the grand entrance to the auction house where two huge guards dressed in armour stood. All this time the illusionary dragon hovered quietly around him, it made Ling feel very awkward like he was having a conscience following him around. The guards immediately recognised him and directed him to an area on the first floor to one of the rooms in one area, this floor was usually for those who wanted to sell something or value, it was here that Ling would come to sell things he would steal around the sky clan house and come to sell. Pieces of jewelry, paintings, anything he felt he could sell he sold to survive. Usually he would spend the money he got on food or save it up for a future he never had visions for. But today he was here for a much difference reason. When he reached the room a young woman with a pale skin, wearing a long dress and braided black hair came to him from the high levels of the auction house. She reached him and bowed her head slightly in respect to him, she was a face he had become accustomed to a while back. "Young lord Ling, you are welcome to the weeping shallows. What would you like to auction this time?" She said in a sweet, soft voice. There was a reason why Ling had associated himself with this auction house in the first place, the fact was that they were as desperate as he was. They wanted to bring themselves back to their former glory and to do that they would need to auction whatever was handed to them, this caused them to loose quality but at least they survived. Ling tucked his hands in his pockets and angled his head backwards slightly and said to her. "I'm sorry but this time I'm afraid I'll have to see your boss this time." The attendant looked at him like he was crazy, seeing the boss of the auction house was something that only an exclusive level customer could do which was even rare in normal terms.

Ling groaned inwardly, the illusionary dragon which had always remained quiet observing all his deeds was not making his day hell."Damn, kid I never expected you to go that hard to expose your goals to her. You really do have guts, you don't have fear of being reported?" The dragon fley circles over his head.Ling continued to work down the market square with his hands tucked away in his pocket. "Shut it dragon, she can be trusted.""How so?"He grumbled but said nothing more about the matter. There was a long silence between them the only sound they that distracted them was the noise from the market square. There were people buying and selling to their heart's content, all of them enjoying the peace that came with the protection the sky family offered.Ling's goal was a shady merchant shop located within the market place, in the shop was hung various fireworks, and trinkets. The owner of the shop was a thing handsome man wearing a rice hat, and a long black kimono. Ling popped up in
Ling's Proposal
Ling explained his proposal to her, with each word he sounded like a crazed lunatic than a business man. "I want the weeping shallows to align with me in future, I feel our dreams align in a way. You want to become number one and it will be beneficial to have you by my side."Li Yuan felt the urge to laugh but she barely suppressed it, his words were outlandish. "You want me to align with you, that is humourous as it is insulting. To think you had the chutzpah to make such a statement. Firstly the weeping shallows does not work under any external figure, and secondly I mean no offence but you are not someone anyone would want to align with."Ling felt a challenge biting at him. "What if I can change your mind?"The mistress of the auction house tapped her index finger on the fan, clearly not falling for his childish games. She had been a fool to expect something promising from him, he had yet to have gotten his money and yet he was already displaying all the needed arrogance.Ling fel
Li Yuan
Ling fought back the urge to relax his body on the sofa rest, he could feel the comfort softening his muscles and he wanted more than anything to leave there and get back to training. He looked at her then to the curtains then back at there before speaking."Is this place private enough?" He asked in a low, calculated tone.Li Yuan nodded gently and gestured to the curtains. "These are high quality soundproof curtains, we may not be the biggest in the village now but we use quality protection. This is needed since auction houses sell items of great rarity or perhaps stolen property of great worth. You can speak fifth young lord."He hesitated for a few seconds and studied her, she did not seem like a complicated person despite playing the part. He dug his hand into one of his pockets and took out a bright green emerald the size of a thumb, she held it up where she could see and said. "Are you interested now miss Yuan? I trust you know what this is."Li Yuan's eyes widened for a few s
The Weeping Shallows
The attendant started to leader the way up the stairs, when he reached the second floor he could see a big space hidden behind sound proof walls and a massive gate, this was the floor where things were being sorted out by the auction house. The third to fifth floor was where the bidding usually began, since it was three floors fitted into one, he had heard that on special occasions they would be filled to the brim. The attendant looked over her shoulders the the young man she knew very little about. She knew his status and how he was seen, but personally she did not know more than that. Aside from the fact that he was cautious when selling the things he stole from the family he did not show any other emotion, but this time felt different. He asked to see the boss which no one ever did casually, the only reason she listened to his request was because of the boss's own request. The boss had requested that whenever a member of the clan family requested to meet they should be allowed the
